“AAH!!!! IT FEELS SO GOOD TO GET RID OF LOWLIFE LIKE THEM!!!! I WONDER HOW THE GODDESS WILL DEAL WITH THEM IF SHE SEES THAT DEMON!!!!”
Ogrush the Blue Irregular Dragon bellowed after he dropped the two into the loch. He knew that that goddess disliked Demon King’s since one had attacked her several times in the past. However, even though he knew that, that was the extent of his knowledge.
The Mid Tier Vampire quivered in fear as she didn’t want to die and his voice was too full of bloodlust. Whenever he spoke, he let out enough bloodlust that even his subordinates were afraid of him.
The Minotaur Girl was using her break time now. She saw that Rune broke in, cut his leg, drank some blood, and fell. She wanted to step out of the room before the dragon laughed as he did so whenever he felt he gained a victory.
She sat in the break room with a tray of food. She liked to get steaks and something called “hamburgers” which was foreign to her.
There were actually three others that served the dragon directly. It was the Minotaur Girl, the Mid Tier Vampire, and the chef who was a familiar of the dragon. Strangely enough, unlike the dragon, the familiar was friendly and took care of the subordinates.
The familiar was a shapeshifter, but liked to be in the form of a small tabby cat. For some reason, it became a familiar sight to see a random kitten floating in the kitchen making food.
She took a bit of her food and nodded in satisfaction. The only break and bliss she received from her being a servant was the amazing food that the chef cooked.
The familiar was used to be called “Chef” as its real name was Meintenistoros and no one wanted to say that.
Through the almost sound proof walls, she heard laughter and felt bloodlust. She shivered as goosebumps appeared on her. She looked at the only one who was not disturbed by the bloodlust, the Chef.
It was sleeping with a chef’s hat on and it looked absolutely adorable. It was curled up on the table in front of her and it only reacted to he bloodlust by twitching its left ear once.
The Mid Tier Vampire was silently crying as she covered up her ears. She felt like her eardrums would explode, but, if they did, she could regenerate them. It happened in the past.
In the first year of her enslavement, she heard his laughter up close with no protection. Blood trickled down her ears and she was frozen in place. Her eardrums has ruptured and the bloodlust kept her from doing anything about it.
She shuddered at the memory and kept on covering her ears. The room shook and quakes and, due to the door blowing up earlier, a piece of rock fell. Down it went as it was wrenched from its place when the door fell.
Plop. It his her head and she winced. She couldn’t do anything other than cower in fear and cover her ears until the laughter stopped.
She rubbed her head as it healed. She turned to the dragon and sighed as she wondered how much longer she would have to put up with him.
The next day, she heard crackling and looked at her feet. She wasn’t sure what was going on, but didn’t want to find out. It was at this time that she decided that it would be a good idea to take her break with the Minotaur Girl.
She went into the break room and strode up to the window to the kitchen.
“Can I have a bowl of beef stew?”
Her voice was beautiful and her speech was smooth. Even so, it didn’t compare to the cute voice of the small floating cat.
In a small, squeaky voice, it spoke.
“Got it!”
They spoke in common, but due to all the years of her being a servant, she could also speak Ancient Draconic.
The other maid decided to get a hamburger with cheese, or a cheeseburger. She wondered how meat would taste with bread and cheese, but never tried it until recently.
Just as the burger was in her hands and she moved it to her mouth, an explosion could be heard. The ground shook and her plate fell, but the burger was fine. For the Vampire maid, she held her stew so that it didn’t fall.
He two of them looked at each other as the familiar rushed out of the room.
The Minotaur Girl shrugged and took a bite of her burger. She did wonder what that explosion was, but wanted to eat more than that.
The familiar had to rush its master’s aid because it sensed danger. It slammed open the door with its small cat paws and floated out in a hurry.
It zoomed down the corridor and turned the corner to find…
Rune decided that it would be a good idea to rest for a couple minutes before he attacked the dragon. He ate some food to regain his mana faster since eating helped to regain mana and the goddess’s food helped to gain mana and healed smaller wounds.
After the feast of all kinds of food, he had regained over seventy five percent of his total mana and decided to let loose.
Specifically, he let loose [Ice Age] on the ceiling of the loch and then flew upwards to punch it. Then, surprisingly, it easily broke.
The dragon, on his throne, fell into the empty lake and took a lot of damage. Some ice chunks even landed on him by chance and it crushed him.
Rouna our up a barrier around her and Lilac as soon as Rune cast [Ice Age]. Rocks bounced against the barrier and hit the floor.
Rune folded up his wings and used [Iram’s Curse] to grow swords out of his back and arms. He curled up and pierced the surprised dragon in the chest.
The swords had gained part of his power and had enough power to pierce the dragon’s scales.
Unfortunately, all the dragon had to do was pick him up and throw him into the ground which was exactly what it did.
“INSOLENT FOOL!!!! YOU DARE ATTACK ME TWICE?!?!”
It still remembered him cutting his leg. The wound had healed of course, but that wasn’t the point. The point was that he had hit him twice and was becoming a nuisance.
Rune’s body was buried in the ground and he struggled to get out as it was a couple stories deep. Rouna and Lilac his behind a rock away from him and he seemed to be too focused on Rune to notice them.
While Rune was getting out of the hole, the dragon breathed out a cone of lightning that scorched the ground and raced around the surrounding area, hitting and remaining corpses.
Rune, for the first time since he had come to Arborea, felt enough pain to make him spit out his own blood. He was furious now. He liked to go through things with ease and this new opponent was actually formidable for once.
He usually played on easy mode, but this dragon was like a boss from hard mode. He had underestimated him and tried to take him head on.
However, even with the mistakes he had made, he wasn’t about to lose to some sadistic dragon with a strange name.

In a single, fluid motion, he drew his rifle, pointed t behind him, and fired. The shockwave forced him upwards, but he was still stuck in the hole.
He fired twice more, just to get out, and let the rest of the shot hit the dragon.
He saw that the puncture marks had already disappeared and that several of the shots had been deflected by some of the harder scales. The shots that had actually hit made gouges in his skin.
He landed on the ground and took out his wings. He fluttered backwards and reloaded the ammunition clips. The dragon let loose a roar and lunged.
His claws and talons reached Rune and swiped him from the air around him. He swatted him into the ground once more as a small being flew in from the gaping hole above them.
It was orange and fluffy and was a tabby cat with a chef hat on. It flew towards it’s master and nuzzles on its shoulders. It spoke something and a green light covered the wounds. This was how the dragon healed since he familiar could heal its master even if it was far away or couldn’t see him.
“AHAHAHA!!!! NOW YOU CAN’T WIN!!!! WITH MY FAMILIAR, I WILL KILL YOU!!!!”
A shot rang out. It wasn’t from Rune and it wasn’t from the dragon. The two of them turned to look at the tabby cat.
Instead of a cat on its shoulder, clumps of fur and some blood splattered appeared and Rouna stood behind him. She held her LMG and killed the source of healing.
“NOOOOOO!!!! MEINTENISTOROS!!!! WHY?!?! WHAT HAS MEINTENISTOROS EVER DONE TO YOU?!??”
He looked shaken as his small cat was reduced to a blood smear on his shoulder. Rouna and Rune took this opportunity to, first get out of the hole and, shoot the giant dragon who had fallen to his knees.
The LMG has no effect on him, but Rune’s shots were able to damage the dragon. He fired as quickly as he could, but, even with the familiar neutralized, the rifle only made small gouges in him.
The dragon woke from its stupor after the first several shots and glared at Rouna. Suddenly, it raised its hand and a disk of lightning appeared.
It reached inside and pulled out five metal orbs. The magic that it had used was a special magic where it could reach into a pocket dimension and grab out stored objects. Unlike Rune’s storage magic, the portal to the pocket dimension damaged anyone close to it that was not immune to lightning.
It threw up the five metal orbs and hey spun around and rotated in the air. Then they started to orbit the dragon and they hummed and crackled. There were divots that separated the orb into eight equal parts. In between those parts, Rune could see that there was electricity crackling in between them.
Then the dragon swung its massive claws at Rouna and broke through her shield. She was slammed into the ground like a basketball and bounced back upwards. She hit the ground for the second time and was breathing heavily.
She shakily got up as blood trickled from cuts she got on her arms and her nose started to drip red. Lilac was already scurrying for cover as she didn’t have any spells for offense.
Rune drew his pistol and fired. The bullet, still using ethereal, flew at the dragon only to find its target changing from the dragon to one of the floating spheres.
He fired three more times to find that every single one of his bullets not only missed the dragon, but started to spin around the sphere, unable to hit it due to its enchantment.
“So they’re magnetic, huh?”
Rune muttered under his breath. This definitely wouldn’t be easy if he couldn’t bring out any metal at all.
Magic crystals were crystals that had many things fused together. First, as the base, crystallized mana formed into a small crystal. Since magic crystals were connected to blood veins and unilateral hint inside monsters’ bodies, the crystals took in iron and some of the monster blood to create small bits of metal since the iron had a chance to change form. Since they did this, monster diets consisted of a lot of blood, usually.
The bullets had timers of course. If they stayed ethereal for too long, the enchantment would wear off after about thirty seconds.
Only ten seconds had passed and Rune was sprinting to keep to the being’s backside. The dragon moved with immense mobility for its size.
That was a trait given to the Blue Dragons. They weren’t as strong as the other dragons, only marginally weaker than all except the white and red dragons who boast strength, but they were faster than the rest, even if only by a slight bit.
His speed was, quite possibly, faster than Rune’s and it was only by him standing still and his immense size that Rune was able to hit him. This time, it became much harder to hit him as he shifted from side to side.
Twenty seconds has passed and the dragon had its talons raised high above Rouna, casting a shadow that covered both her and the surrounding area for several dozens of feet.
It slammed its talons into the ground as Rune raced to him. Rouna did her best to shield herself from the full force of he attack, but it hit her with both a physical and elemental force. A couple seconds beforehand, the dragon used a more powerful and buffed version of [Lightning Grip].
It burst her shield and she was crushed down, into the ground. Lilac and Rune watched as her body twitched. She was having difficulty breathing and was trying to crawl away, but her arms were broken too much to even move them.
Two explosions occurred around the dragon. Thirty seconds had passed and the bullets had connected with the spheres. It had been pure luck that two of the bullets had materialized inside the electrical center. The bullets destabilized, like how Erin’s blade exploded, and utterly destroyed three spheres and part of the dragon’s left shoulder.
Two spheres blew up and the scrap metal hit and destroyed another. The explosions created new wounds, deeper than the ones Rune made, in the large dragon’s shoulder.
It roared in pain and turned around to look in the two spheres left. They had bullets that were smushed down flat so that it looked more like a wide coin than a projectile. The dragon went from looking at the spheres to the person who was sneaking behind him.
It roared in fury and held its hand out towards Rune with its palm showed towards him. A pentagram of blue light formed as it crackled with electricity.
The spaces in between the lines started to fill in with the same blue light and a serpentine form emerged. It started off the size of a young wyrmling, about the size of a man, but soon became the size of a gargantuan beast that was two thirds the size of the dragon summoning it.
It fell to the ground and rapidly grew as it wormed its way into the ground. Unlike the lightning summons before by the hydra, this summon seemed to be an actual, tangible being that could affect objects physically.
It burrowed into the ground and made a huge hole that made mounds of dirt and sand around the entrance. It had no hands or limbs, but it moved at a speed that seemed too fast for a creature of its size.
The ground shook and dirt and sand flew upwards wherever it went. It snaked around towards Rune and sped up as it did so. Then, as soon as it had almost reached Rune, it leapt out of the ground.
The serpent moved upwards, then down as it homed in on Rune’s position. He was certain that it intended on crushing him under its massive and electrical body.
He side stepped it, but only barely as he had already planned to dodge before the beast erupted from the ground. In his place, the serpent crushed the ground and burrowed once again.
This time, it went far deeper than before so that Rune wouldn’t be able to track its whereabouts via dirt flying up or being moved.
Rune looked around and spread his wings. He flapped once and a massive jaw opened up beneath him. He kept looking upwards as he knew what awaited below.
Before the maw closed in on him, he reached into his storage and pulled out one of the metal rods that form the tent. He thrust it into its mouth and that electrical current was swept up to it.
The maw closed, right at his heels, and he barely kept his foot with him. The metal rod soon became molten metal as he electricity of the beast was far too hard for it to handle temperature wise.
The large Irregular dragon had turned around and was busy looking for Rouna. Even though she couldn’t move, Lilac could and she quickly got her and hid in the ground when the dragon had turned to Rune.
It grew angry and furious as it couldn’t find her and it stomped the ground. Its tail had been thumping the ground for a while, but it soon became erratic and hit the ground whenever it could.
Lilac was slowly making a tunnel underground to escape the current battle. Both the dragon and Rune had no idea what had happened, but Rune assumed that Lilac had done something since he hadn’t seen her get hit.
He fired off several shots from the sky before the lightning serpent lunged from beneath the ground. The rifle bullets that he fired, instead of the pistol, turned to hit the two spheres left and, as soon as they hit, they wrecked them as the bullets flew through them and landed in the ground.
All five spheres were destroyed and Rune took out his katana. He knew that, since he cut him before, the katana would be able to slice through his tough scales.
Rushing the giant, he reached its feet as the spheres dropped. The dragon swiveled its head to look at the sound and glanced around. He saw Rune flapping his wings to gain speed to hit him.
It took a single swing for the dragon to hit him out of the air. Rune saw the hand move, but couldn’t dodge. Instead, he raised his sword and swung to try and parry.
The hand smacked him downwards and he fell into the ground again. The lightning serpent was ready and it lifted its upper body to snatch him from the air. To be honest, it was a quite lucky that the serpent was focusing on Rune instead of the other two since one of them would die.
It swallowed him whole and he tumbled through the being. It seemed that, while the serpent was able to move things around, it didn’t have insides or things to digest him with. Instead, it was like a hollow snake that was more like a cage than an actual summon.
He tumbled through it and slammed against the electricity. He felt it course through his body and it felt painful. His body clenched up due to the sheer amount of voltage coursing through his veins.
Then, with just a single thought, he used [Ethereal] and fell out of the serpent. He stopped as soon as he had gotten out and was about to hit the ground. He tumbled in the dry dirt and sand and some pieces fell on him as he found himself in a tunnel.
The serpent had been moving underground to jostle him inside of it. That same serpent still had no idea that he escaped its insides. Then took his rifle and shot it.
