Ogyi started drawing on a map of the capital building. There were two floors above the ground and five below. The last and lowest level was the tallest and largest made out of an unknown material.
There was a small pool on the lowest level where it was four feet deep. The fluid filling up the pool looked like water, but it was a fluid that made minds susceptible to mind control.
Priests surrounded the areas and had the town guards protecting each member. There were only ten priests and only two of them had keys to the lowest floor, but they switched keys to other priests everyday.
All of the priests usually stayed on the third and forth lower floors. The guards were highly trained cream of the crop of the militia that the village people started. The rumors were that they could each kill a small dragon in one attack.
Then there was the mayor who likely knew everything as Ogyi was his son and he overheard him talking about different things. He was usually in the lowest floor and had three of the most elite soldiers that were the cream of the cream in the militia.
“I would also like you to let me guys go.”
“Sure.”
Rune moved his hand upwards and Rena and Hika let them out. They all moved away from the eight people around them as Riika and Rouna were on the roof.
They crawled behind their leader, Ogyi, and Rune could tell that they seemed to be less than 14 years old. They grabbed their chests as they now had bruises from the chains or the rope. They whispered something in Ogyi’s ear and Rune could hear it by enhancing his hearing with [Physical Enhancement].
“How can we trust them? For all we know, they could be on the false god’s side.”
Rune moved up to them and the person whispering fell on his behind and scooted back. Rune looked at him for a moment before addressing the entire group.
“I want to kill the beings that this “false god” works for. I’m sure that we can come to an agreement.”
Rune walked over to the map that Ogyi was drawing on and analyzed it. There were circles that seemed to be entrances to the building, but one circle was on one of the blueprint’s walls. Rune pointed at it.
“What’s up with this one?”
“Hmm? That is a secret entrance in the wall. However, there is only one and it goes straight down to the second floor. There is a tunnel connecting that entrance to the well next to the building. I’m not sure where in or around the well the entrance is, but we can look for it.”
Rune nodded.
“So, until this week ends, is there an inn or something to stay in?”
“No. All of the people that visited us left as soon as they finished trading. If you want, you guys can stay here…”
“Then we’ll do that. We will case the area tomorrow and we will rest for now.”
He walked up to the second floor and turned into his Cursed Armor form. He was out of sight from the rebel children already and was now standing over a table with papers full of strange attack plans on them.
Rune moved the papers to another table and placed down some white dragon scales. He was now level 29 after he killed the dragons and monsters. He was able to gain the skill [Cold Breath] after he had absorbed multiple white dragons. He wasn’t able to gain all the skills that something had or all of its attributes every time, but he was able to gain all of the attributes from small objects that he absorbed.
Rarer skills and magic was much harder to get because that was how the gods forced limits upon his cheat skill. He didn’t notice it at first, but soon became aware once he had killed and absorbed the White Dragon Hierarch. He hadn’t gotten any of his high grade Ice magic nor his cold breath that he wanted from the Dragolich.
He placed his hand on the three scales that he had taken out. They were piled up on top of each other and were each as wide as plates and were at least three times as thick. He transmuted them into two different styled knives and one katana.
One was shaped like a machete with the handle directly forming into a blade. The second blade was a trench knife with a blade attached to brass knuckles with small spikes on each knuckle. The third blade was a long odachi, a katana that one wields with two hands and is much longer than a regular katana, with a guard that had small spikes on each of the four corners to catch blades.
He started to take out every type of magic crystal and infused one of each into each of the three blades. He also created a sheath with the Light element so that the blade can become invisible when the user wanted it to, but the user would still be able to see it. Then he enchanted them with far reach, sharpness, auto repair, and blood shedding. Since they were infused with the magic crystals, they were able to produce any elemental effect if the user wanted to.
He put the trench knife in his storage and held onto the other two blades. He walked up to the first story and noticed that Rena and Hika were sitting at a table together playing a card game that one of the heroes from long ago created known as slapjack. They had also “created” other games, but they weren’t playing them at the moment.
Riika and Rouna were now inside, but Riika was leaning against the radio in a blanket. She was sleeping soundly. Elisa was sleeping upright on a sofa with Rouna using her thighs as a lap pillow.
Erin was leaning against a wall while sitting and was sleeping. Hyht and Yula were leaning on each other while sleeping on another sofa. Mynn was leaning against a wall and was on the verge of sleep.
It seemed that Elisa, Yula, Hyht, and Riika had changed clothes into something more casual than the armor they had been wearing. Rouna had only wearing a pink blouse throughout the trip so far and she kept it on.
Rune walked up to Rena and Hika and placed the machete in front of Rena and the katana in the magic crystal sheath in front of Hika. The machete didn’t have a sheath, but it could easily be attached to a belt or rope.

The odachi was much longer than the table by at least a feet and a half. She was surprised when the massive weapon was placed in front of her. She looked up at Rune in shock.
Rune started to speak with telepathy as to not wake anyone up.
Rune turned around and sat on a sofa. He crossed his arms and laid back. The cushions were quite comfortable and seemed to be the same type of cushions found in the Sphinx village.
He pretended to sleep as he thought about what weapons he could make in one week. His thoughts were interrupted when three, what seemed like, 12 year olds, came up the stairs.
Rena and Hika and there rest of the group were already asleep and were behind Rune. To get to the group, one had to pass Rune first.
They all carried hoes and were approaching Rune’s group. He could hear them talking.
“We’ll teach ‘em not to mess with us.”
“Yeah.”
“Let’s whack them good.”
The kids were somewhat curious about how the armor that Rune was appeared, but they shrugged it off and thought hat Rune was just wearing the armor. The three kids wanted to attack Riika first as she was the most vulnerable, but Rune just knew that they would attack someone other than him.
They neared the group and Rune watched as them started to move the hoes above their heads to strike down on them. As soon as they stepped past Rune, he stood up and looked down at them.
“‘Let’s whack them good’? That’s not a very good idea, fool. How about I whack the brains out of your skull with my sword?”
The three suddenly fell back as they saw him stand and say exactly what one of them said. They tried to scoot back when Ogyi came up the stairs. It seemed like he heard everything.
He stood in front of Rune and started to plead.
“Please. Take pity on the children! No one would hurt an eight year old, right? Someone like that would have to be insane!”
Rune pauses and took a step forward while summoning his katana. He unsheathed it and put the sheath back in his storage and tilted the blade to glint in the candle light.
“... Are you calling me insane? An eye for an eye…”
Rune moves he katana above his head and the four children closed their eyes. They waited, but their deaths never came and they looked up at Rune.
He was sheathing his blade and putting it back in his storage. Then, as an act to make the children fear him, he took a cup out of his storage and started to pour a red liquid into it.
Then he took off his helmet, while still in Cursed Armor form, and poured the blood into the red energy hat was inside his armor. He put the helmet back on and put the cup away and turned to the kids.
They were too scared to move and their faces showed that they were too fearful to react. Rune chuckled and moved back to the sofa. He sat down and the three eight year olds crumpled to the ground and started to froth at the mouth while Ogyi was panicking and trying to figure out whether he should bow or prostrate himself.
----------------------------------------
The rest of the group woke up and went down to the lowest floor below ground. They moved down to it because that was where the kitchen was. There were three bedrooms on the lowest floor, but most of the children went home. Only Ogyi and one other kid who was also his age had stayed in the building they called the Warehouse.
It was where people stored their objects and furniture that they didn’t want anymore, but there wasn’t an abundance of items because people usually made what they needed and that was it.
Rune was already downstairs and was still in his Cursed Armor form as there was enough food to eat when they rationed it out, but Rune wanted to save his portions for emergencies. When each of them came downstairs, he had them form a party with them and they were surprised at the strange translucent rectangle that appeared in front of them.
Then he brought over Lacht and Nacht as well as Sophia and invited them into the party. He had teleported to the ship and done that and also brought some more guns and ammo from the ship.
When he came back, the other rebel children were confused as to how the three new people came and where they came from. In fact, everyone in the town was curious about the origins of Rune and his group and asked them to tell their story.
Rune told them that they crossed the sea and reached a town, he didn’t say which town, and traveled here, he didn’t say a reason, and he was going to travel all around the continent looking at things to buy, trade, and sell. People wanted to buy some things from him and he sold some fancy looking knives and farming tools to the people and he even sold some katanas to someguards.
The weapons and materials were just iron, but they looked magnificent and were durable. The only enchantments on them were auto repair for every tool and weapon. He didn’t sell them to the children under 14 or to people who were shady or evil, at least shady and evil people in Rune’s eyes.
Most of the villagers were actually nice people who believe in the fake god, but, when asked by the Black Dragon, they would gladly do anything in their power to complete the action. Occasionally, the Black Dragon would tell people to jump in its mouth and they would do it and get eaten. Other people who believed the dragon to be their god paid no mind to its actions, but the hypnotism would break if the dragon died.
Sophia was there to investigate the well area to find the trap door. Rune was going to bring her to the well as well as Lacht and Nacht to see if they knew anything about the Black Dragon. He wanted to ask them about the different villages other than the Sphinx and Manticore villages.
Breakfast was some boar sausages and some diced hash brown. It turned out that Riika was an excellent cook because she had to make do with the scraps she was given from her old village. To wash it down, they had filtered, undirtied water.
They gave some food to the children, but not too much as they still had to ration the supply. Rune could pop over to the capital to buy some more items, but he really didn’t want to spend any more of his money on food. Nonetheless, they still had enough food for people to last a week and a bit more from Rune’s supply.
When he went from Cursed Armor back to human, he was usually hungry, but not too starving. Although, he basically drank blood everytime he didn’t absorb something’s dead corpse and it made him feel less hungry which was likely one of the traits of being Demon King. However, he didn’t feel an increase in an urge to drink blood.
Rena, Hika, Riika, Elisa, and Rouna left to go to the shopping area which was pretty small, but was where people sold their wares. Erin, Mynn, Hyht, and Yula left to find something to eat, but Hyht and Yula went alone for a date.
The four of them left, Rune, Sophia, Lacht, and Nacht, exited the building and the Manticore people around them were dumbfounded when they saw three new people with Rune who was now in his human form. They made their way to the well where they saw a line of eleven people waiting to haul up water.
They looked at the four of them as Sophia looked around the well to figure out where the trap door was. Rune stood by as Lacht and Nacht both started chatting with the villagers. There were two men out of the eleven people and the rest were women. Each carried a small wagon that could only hold two medium sized jugs of water.
Apparently, the water was dirty and filthy from what Rune could hear, but he didn’t want to do anything about it because they might accidently take the church’s job, the church in the capital building to worship the Black Dragon, as they handled the well and the water in it.
After a bit of looking, Sophia went up to Rune and spoke to him in a quiet voice.
“I found it. It is at the base of the well. We should go at night when there aren't as many people around.”
