Waking up he found himself at 3 am fazed and distilled of what he saw in front of him. As a flashlight was pointed towards his face causing his face to scrunch up "Hey son sorry you can't sleep here you look young and I thought I saw you in the missing persons photo". Cupid began to really open his eyes rubbing them realizing what the person was wearing it was a police officer wearing his whole outfit. Why would a police officer be out here at night though is what he really wondered. "Well I just got done with my shift its graveyard shift kind of and I see you so sorry son you're going to have to come with me.The police officer a bit on the hefty side but with a warm smile seemed like a nice man even though he realized at that moment he was saying he would make cupid go home the worst possible thing that he did not want to happen may happen. The officer played some rnb and blues to soothe the mood and make it more enjoyable for cupid in the car ride but they both knew how serious and how fucked up the situation really was. They eventually arrived at the police station cupid felt a sense of emptiness and trapped feeling coming from the building suiting for a temporary jail for some people.

"Hey Steve! you back with another missing kid! "Said another officer at that moment cupid realized the officers name was cupid. "Yep, I got to get him back to his rightful home Afterall" said Steve Cupid just sat silently assessing the situation. Eventually the officer sitting in the chair in the main office must've called Cupids parents as they arrived soon after in their car as cupid watched them walk up to the police station at 4:30am. Both of them looked petrified but relief when they eventually saw cupid. "Oh, cupid honey where were you i looked everywhere for you, I missed you so much baby" said his mother with a smile seemingly crying as she held her arms around cupid feeling the tears falling down his shoulders. He saw his father just staring looking at them not even expressing what he was feeling it was weird for cupid he didn't know what to feel when he looked at his father, but he would soon know why his father was acting like that. "Oh, thank you officers' thank you so much i looked everywhere for cupid everywhere!" Said Cupids mom. "Of course, anytime we'd rather not see teenagers and kids on the streets when they can be in good homes instead". Said Steve this just made Cupid feel like even the police were against him.

Though after some useless chatter that cupid didn't focus on just sitting on one of the benches next to his dad fading away his face becoming more and more grim as he realized the reality that was coming back to him, he realized what was coming back. "Don't worry son I'm leaving things won't be how they used to be I promise it'll be much better soon "His dad jack said as he put his hand on cupids head cupid just looked at him and wondered what he meant. Then all three of them eventually left the police station getting back into the car with his dad driving and his mother just staring out the window. "Me and your dad are getting a divorce and you're coming with me to New York to live with your grandpa, "Said his mother. "What?" That was all cupid could even manage to say everything he had ever known had begun to fall and crumble his dad is leaving and now he's moving to a completely different place he had never even seen before or any pictures or anything he didn't know what was going to be there or what was going to be there for him and he had no control over it at all he didn't know what to do. Though it didn't matter his decision didn't matter at all he was a child completely up to the whims of his parent's decisions that would later cause him long term trauma and make him question his very existence of who he really is.

The whole car ride back was completely silent besides that revelations cupid had to just be fine with the decision although he would miss his father, he realized that maybe it would work out for the best and it meant he didn't have to go back to that crappy school that he completely hated. He was a little bit relieved and also happy in a way he gets to see way more new stuff and see way more new people it was going to be a new experiencing and he was also wondering how this grandpa was going to be the grandpa from his mother's side after all his mom and dad had not really talked about their parents that much so he didn't know what to expect but he took the opportunity with open arms. "Tomorrow morning were going to pack our bags our plane ride is in 2 days after all get ready for it it's a fresh start. "His mother said with a happy smile even though behind it you could see the extreme fatigue and exhaustion she had dealt with. Though his father the more he head about it the more dissociative he seemed he didn't know how his father was receiving the message nor did he care at that point cupid just wanted escape.
