Episode 4 (Part 2)

Fawn instructed him to close his eyes as she did the same. An aura appeared on their hands as a small amount of power got transferred to him. A surge grew inside of him, even after they parted hands.

“This power is unbelievable,” Richard muttered. “But I still don’t know how to use this body properly.”

“From what I can tell, that blue blob species are powerful and speedy,” Fawn explained. “Try to knock that wall down with a punch.”

“Ok.”

Richard looked down at his hand and clenched it into a fist. He readied his stance before throwing his fist at the wall, causing it to crumble and fall apart, making a giant gaping hole in the center of the room.

Richard gasped as he looked down at his shaking hand. “Whoa, I can’t believe I did that.”

“Sound that alarm!” A voice from the intercom yelled out.

“Uh oh,” Fawn said.

“What was that?” Someone asked.

“It came from over here!” Another worker thundered.

“We need to get out here!” Fawn exclaimed. She turned around and noticed more workers storm over to the area.

Richard looked down as his body trembled. “I don’t know if I can survive the fall.”

“You will. Trust me.”

The faculty members headed towards the barrier and deactivated it while rushing closer to the duo.

“We have no choice. We need to get going!” Fawn pushed Richard off the building just before the employers got to them.

The two fell from the building as they got closer to the ground. Fawn turned to Richard and told him to control his landing, but it seemed like he couldn’t hear her over the screaming. Fawn looked down and spotted a few cars with police officers parked near the area, waiting for them. She sighed. Desperate times called for desperate measures. Fawn phased through and went over to take control of Richard’s body. She stretched his arm out to reach the window, open it, and dropped on another floor.

Once they made it to a different floor, Richard had stopped screaming, but asked if she could separate from his body. Fawn told him once they had time to breathe, she would do just that.

“Hold it right there.” Someone called out from the corner of the hallway.

Folks walked out of their hiding spots and targeted the duo with tranquilizers at their disposal. Out of the corner of their eyes, Richard saw a cart filled with heavy artillery. The workers ordered the blob to not make a move. With the help of the ghost, he used his reflexes to grab and push the heavy cart toward the group in the blink of an eye.

This gave Richard time to escape, as he made a break for it. As he reached the front doors, he came across more scientists carrying tranquilizers with them. Unlike the ones from before, these guys hesitate to let out some shots. Richard did his best to dodge each one of them at short notice while Fawn made the darts move on their own and ricochet them back at the others. Richard rushed over to punch the remaining ones that didn’t fall asleep in different parts of the body. As soon as the coast was clear, the duo sprinted towards the exit.
