“Richard, can you hear me?” Kelly’s voice crackled in his pockets.
Richard took out a walkie-talkie and pressed the button. “Kelly, what’s up?”
“I’ve detected the pinpoint of the man inside the suit, he’s at the chest area.”
“Oh, so the molten core is protecting him.”
“It’s actually a decoy, run by a burning flashlight instead.”
“Really? How strange.” Now the question is, how am I going to get through?
“Hey!” Rick got out of his car and ran over to Richard’s aide. “I got a suggestion, if you don’t mind?”
“Of course not,” Richard replied. “Do you mind working together with someone like me?”
“Well, I’m still not sure, to be honest. But we both got a bigger threat on our hands. So, for the time being, I’ll trust you.”
“Thanks. So, what’s your plan?”
“Well, I thought you might need this,” Rick said as he pulled out his taser.
Richard knew where this was going and smirked. “Now I see where you’re getting at.”
“But what about the core?
Richard pondered over it, but his face brightened up, as he thought up an idea. “I know what to do, you’ll have to trust me though.
“Okay.” Rick nodded. He turned on the taser and used it on Richard’s body, making electricity appear all around him.
Feeling the sparks inside and outside of him, Richard pointed at the robot and fired an electric shot towards it, paralyzing it.Seeing the opportunity arise, he made a high jump towards the robot. He readied his electric punch and hit the mechanical being in the chest, breaking it down further. Richard used this opportunity to rip the metal plates right off the automaton, now exposing the core right in front of him. He charged another punch and made a mark right through the heart. The droid lost its power, and, with a flick from his finger, Richard knocked the machine down and watched it fall into the ocean.

Everyone cheered over the success in destroying the monster, but also recalled Carlos hadn’t been seen. They glanced over at the robot head near the docks, still intact, but severely damaged.
“That was a job well done,” James commented toward the group. “And I think we found the culprit too, so we can turn him in.”
“All in a day’s work.” Reginald insisted, putting his tools away. “We all did it together, isn’t that right?” He turned to face Richard, only to find him storming over toward the docks, with Fawn accompanying him.
Carlos opened the compartment and crawled out of the mechanical head. He writhed on the ground, coughing like a madman. When he looked up at Richard, looming over him with a nasty glare, his body stood there, quivering, unable to move.
“This is it,” Fawn told Richard. “Your chance to get back at this man for everything he’s done to you, me, and our families. You know what you must do. Kill him.”
Fire in his eyes, Richard raised his arms and prepared to deliver a brutal blow to the man. Carlos shut his eyes tight and curled up into a ball, expecting the worst to happen. Reginald ran over and stood in between the two, with his arms wide open and his stance firm.
“Hey, what do you think you’re doing?” Richard thundered.
“I’m not letting you do this,” Reginald told him.
“What? Why not? After everything, he’s done—?”
“If you do the deed, you’ll be just as bad as him. Don’t make the same mistake I almost did. You’re better than that. Think about what you’re doing here.”
Richard stayed silent and thought about what his brother told him. He inhaled and exhaled before turning back into a human.
“I’m proud of you,” Reginald said, placing a hand on Richard’s shoulder.
“Thanks,” Richard replied with a smile.
Fawn shook her head. “What are you—?”
The cops came over and tipped their hats. “Don’t worry, we’ll take it from here.” Greg proclaimed. “You guys can come with us to interrogate, if you want. You more than have the privilege to.”
“Sounds good,” Richard replied.
“It would be our honor to ask him some questions,” Reginald added.
The cops took Carlos in the car and drove off. Richard and Reginald went in separate vehicles to follow them to the police station, with Fawn reluctantly close behind them.
