Loki

It had been two weeks since Loki had finally been able to remove the remanents of his curse completely, but Akira still hadn’t stirred. Ehren had barely moved from her side, once he was allowed back in the room that is. Askel had been bringing him meals and talking to him but the prince had hardly said a word to anyone in nearly two weeks. He ate very little until Asena had yelled at him for trying to waste away. She told him Akira wouldn’t want him to waste away like he was. So he ate. He ate and slept next to Akira hoping against hope that she would wake. Eir came and went periodically but from the look on her face, nothing about Akira’s condition had changed or was going to change anytime soon. Loki would often sit with the prince and tell him about Seona. He would tell him things about Akira that reminded him so much of her mother. Ehren would smile sadly but never reply. Loki didn’t expect him to. His heart was broken too. Oftentimes, they just sat in silence staring at the pale form of Akira on the bed. It was Anwen who dragged them away from the girl long enough for Asena to bathe her and change the bandages on her back. The lash marks were finally beginning to heal in earnest after so many years. It was a welcome sight to all who knew of them, yet still she slept on. No one could really fathom why Akira hadn’t woken up and yelled at all of them for sitting on their asses for so long.
