Akira looked at him with terror in her eyes. Of all her siblings, Keir knew Akira was closest to Askel. Based on the terror in her eyes, he hadn’t told her about his condition.
“Kira, it’s going to be okay,” he said coming to stand beside her.
He knelt down and began to turn Askel on his side.
“What are you doing?” she asked and he could tell by the tone of her voice she was about to cry again.

“Askel should be the one to explain it but before I left he was diagnosed with epilepsy,” he told her.
Her eyes widened in surprise.
“He’s an epileptic?” she whispered and shook her head.
He put his hand on her cheek and forced her to look at him.
“Askel is going to be ok, Kira,” he told her firmly. “Say it.”
She mouthed the words.
“Say it,” he ordered her grabbing her chin.
“He’s going to be ok,” she said.
He kissed her nose and went to release her face but she pulled him into a kiss.
