One would think that killing another person would make me feel something but I am strangely calm. I hope it's not something residual from my last life as I don’t think anyone like that from there was a good person. Death is, strangely, something common in this world if you stopped to think for a moment.
I walked away from the area along with a few wild pokemon that followed me. Some of them took the corpses of the Team Paradox member’s pokemon, probably to eat them. We all could still feel the battle between the Alphas raging on so we tried to go somewhere safe to wait things out. The Alakazam wasn’t making contact with me so I had to do something by myself for now.
After a few minutes of walking and asking around, the pokemon guided me along with a few others to the big excavation site. There were a lot of corpses and whatever they were trying to dig up, the team paradox people got it as there was a giant hole in the ground. I took a moment to loot the bodies I could as well as release any pokemon I found stuck in pokeballs. A few of them were loyal companions of their trainers and tried their best to at least secure their bodies. The rest simply tried their luck going into a tunnel, they clearly didn’t care one way or another.
From my looting I got a few more pokeballs, some money, potions, berries and some sort of ID card that I couldn’t read a single word on it. A lot of wild pokemon were wary of me but almost every single one of them knew that I might be their safest bet in leaving this place in case their Alpha lost. We could all feel that the fight was almost coming to an end.
The cave shook really violently for about 3 minutes straight before everything went strangely calm. Then the Alakazam contacted me.
“Human! We are being ambushed by something! Run away!” He shouted telepathically. A moment later he appeared in the excavation site, teleporting around, along with a black Gardevoir that had a strange orange stone embedded in its chest. The image of Shadow Mewtwo came to my mind. They were attacking each other with various types of moves and they looked deadly even. I also couldn’t analyze the Gardevoir with my power.
“What!?” I tried to ask, confused as to what was happening, while watching the fight unfold.
“It is coming. It’s weaker than this one. deal with it or we will all die!” The Alakazam said before vanishing along with his foe.
Not even 10 seconds later the ground shook, rocks fell and the walls opened. From it emerged the Alpha Steelix, only this time it had an orange stone in its head and he was also slowly turning black. I could see a few bits and pieces of the Alpha Golem around his body and mouth.
All the pokemon around began to run in panic. The Steelix was hunting everyone, past friend or foe alike, while he came in my direction. I turned around and ran as fast as I could towards the exit. The Steelix quickly made sure I had no option but to fight him. He summoned a lot of rocks and with great accuracy, like I never saw before, blocked almost every single tunnel in the excavation site. Every pokemon who could immediately began to dig holes and the ones that couldn’t went into those holes.
“Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!” I said in both frustration and anger as my only option truly became fighting the damn thing.
“Ruuuuoooaaar!” The Steelix roared as he dashed in my direction while using an attacking move as he was shining a little.
“Asura, Low Kick! Bolt, Flash! Blaze, Dragonbreath!” I shouted as I sent out my pokemon. Asura quickly dashed forwards and tried to trip the Steelix again. It didn’t work. Bolt created a giant flash of light that seemed to do nothing and Blaze’s Dragonbreath was pretty much ignored but the giant steel snake. I was hoping for paralysis to trigger but it didn’t. I quickly recalled all of them in sequence as their moves didn’t do anything and dashed away from the Steelix, barely getting out of the way.
I turned my head around and saw the Steelix hitting a Graveler, one that was, at least statistically, stronger than any of my pokemon. It exploded in a million pieces and die by the Steelix’s attack. I cannot let my pokemon get hit once or they will die and I refuse to let them die!

“You damned snake! Don’t you sleep!” I shouted as I returned Blaze to his pokemon after he attacked the Steelix. I have been running nonstop for over a day now. The clock in my phone says it is almost midnight. Me and my pokemon had to eat and heal on the run. In a moment of clarity I remembered that some berries worked as energy drinks so we all consumed a few.
I tried to fight him somewhat head on but once it turned all black it got way stronger and I couldn’t risk a direct confrontation. Asura gets hurt attacking him now so the best counter I had to deal with a stronger, bigger and heavier opponent is pretty much out of the fight. At least he can break rocks and now dig into stone. I don’t know how he managed it but along the last 24 hours he channeled his inner mole and learned Dig to help me move around. I don’t know exactly what is happening with the Steelix but he can’t sense us when we go a little too deep into the ground or walls for a while.

“CHAAAAAR!” Blaze shouted as he poured all the energy he had into his attack.
“Stop. This should be enough. The rocks are almost melting.” I said to him as I patted him in the head.
“Char!” He said happily before catching his breath.
“Return for now. I need all of you rested.” I said, returning him to his pokeball.
I have no idea how I am still standing but I am. I am completely lost, I lost one of my shoes and it is a miracle I have water. There is a small underground stream that I found but even that wasn’t enough to stop the Steelix from following me. It was barely half a meter deep so it wouldn’t be a problem to him.
I tried to attack him with everything but I have no idea if he is even taking damage. Old game logic said to me that the minimum amount of damage you could deal was 1, no matter what, but I can’t tell if that holds true in this world at the moment. Never tested it before.
Lets just hope that it takes a while for him to go around the not-magma that I managed to make Blaze prepared in this part of the mountain so I can at least rest a little.

“Valkyrie, whirlwind! Blaze, Flamethrower! Coat the cave in heat!” I shouted to my two pokemon as they attacked the Steelix. It took me a while to figure out but there is a very strong air current inside the mountains. I can feed the fire a little if I play my cards right.
This wasn’t the first time we tried it so they got the idea on how much power they need to put into each move so they didn’t cancel each other. If the wind was too strong it would disperse the fire, if the fire was too strong it would pierce through the wind. They need to be just right to feed into each other in a way that made something similar to the move Heat Wave.
“Return for now. Rest as much as you can!” I said to them as I am starting to lose myself due to the lack of sleep. “Bolt, Flash. Asura, Dig up, I will be holding on to your legs like usual.”
“Pichu!” “Mankey!” They said, confirming that they understood me.
Bolt sends a flash of light that seems to be the only thing to now visibly affect the Steelix as it got visibly dazzled after a few dozens of times being hit by the move. I returned him to his pokeball and grabbed Asura’s legs. He starts to dig up, carrying me, as it is way faster than me just climbing into his tunnels, at least going up. Going down I can do it by myself just as fast as him.

I have no idea what day it is. Phone died and the pokedex didn’t have a clock in it. I also found the Alakazam. His fight was still going on like mine. He begged for me to use some potions or give him some berries so I did what I could. My own stock was getting dangerously low. My pokemon weren’t getting hit directly but all the small skirmishes were slowly making them accumulate damage. I wish I had some miracle medicine for me too as I have lots of bruises around and without being able to rest my super human body can’t properly heal. The Alakazam was really surprised that I could still hold on.
After I healed him he went straight back to battle, like me. The Steelix was too close for me to just run away.
I began to run into the tunnels near me, looking for a safe passage. At this point I was instinctively able to tell if I could use a tunnel or not. After running for about 5 minutes if my sense of time still is right, I found a somewhat open area to prepare my ambush.
“Everyone, come out!” I said, sending all my pokemon out. “He is coming from that tunnel. Valkyrie, get ready to rescue Bolt and Asura once they hit him. Blaze, I hope you rested enough, we need something big again.” I said, they all nodded in agreement.
Bolt and Asura moved toward the top of the tunnel I could tell the Steelix was coming from and Valkyrie stayed just above them. Me and Blaze stood right in front of the tunnel, waiting for the Steelix. Not much later the giant steel snake appeared.
“Now!” I shouted and all my pokemon began to act. Blaze shot a really big Fire Blast straight at the Steelix, setting him ablaze. It wouldn’t last long, that stupid dispersed almost every status effect but him being burned stopped his stupid ability to deal damage to other pokemon who made contact with him. My sleep deprived brain barely put two and two together once that happened the first time.
Asura and Bolt dashed downwards. Bolt using Quick attack and Asura Low Kick. Both went straight to the orange stone. If I could destroy it, I think the Steelix would stop pursuing me. If that doesn't happen, I am pretty sure the Steelix will get paralyzed for a while so I can run away.
They both hit the target, The Steelix roared in pain and Valkyrie grabbed the two as soon as he could, moving towards me not a moment later. I returned everyone to their pokemon and began to run.

I think I had 4 hours of sleep. The Steelix must have been completely paralyzed for a while. Continuing into the tunnels I somehow got back into the excavation site. I took a moment to look around, it was worse than I remembered.
As I was looking on how I would move from here, the Alakazam contacted me.
“Human, you need to deal with your foe or we will be stuck here forever. They are connected somehow and if we don’t deal with them, both at once, they will not be defeated.”
“...Are you sure?”
“Yes. My foe should already be on the ground but nothing I do will truly finish the fight. She is less effective now but I can’t put her down. I believe your foe is the same, isn't it?”
“Yes… I will try to break the stone, you should try the same.”
“I will, good luck. I will be ready to finish things along with you. Do your best.” He said before cutting the talk. A few minutes later the Steelix appeared. I sent out all my pokemon.
“Listen up everyone! We have to defeat him to leave this place alive. No more running is allowed. It will be either him or us. I refuse to die here or let all of you find that same fate! Let’s hunt that snake!” I said to them. My pokemon shouted along with me as we dashed towards the Steelix. This would end one way or another.
