Things were getting intense with Ripley’s power in full display, he never showed this much strength when Eugene and his familiars fought him. In fact, they had to wonder why he didn’t show this power back then too. Something to ask later as the demon beast currently was preoccupied.

Axel and Androcles were currently cowering at the wall from Ripley. They were both holding on with each other tightly and shaking like crazy as if their lives were on the line.

“Now what was it you were saying about me being a weakling?” Ripley started to ask with a smile that could scare even the most demonic familiars.

Neither of them could speak up, too frozen with fear to utter a word. Seeing this the demon beast frowned as he bared his fangs, his low growl was enough to shake the area around him.

They jumped from his response as the fire demon got on his hands and knees as he tried his best to speak. “I-it meant nothing of it sir!”

In the back of his mind, after sensing the amount of power leaking off of Ripley as well as seeing the horns out of his head realized what he was facing. “What is going on here?! I’ve only heard of a few demons who could hope to have six horns. Let alone to even have a single one that size was a mark of true power! My own failing in comparison in large margin!!”

He tried to look at Ripley eye to eye but could only manage a glance before looking down in fear. “This is insane, the only ones with powers to match his would have to be a demon prince! Don’t tell me!!”

“Good, seems you finally noticed despite your lowly status.” Ripley announced, looking pleased over the sight before him.

Androcles lowered his head further, letting his hair droop in submission. “Y-yes, your highness. I apologize for not realizing I was in the presence of royalty!!”

Everyone was taken aback by his comment, most of us freaking out over the revelation. Everyone except Sife, who was instead nervously chuckling. “ehehehe s-so that’s what it was, I had a guess but it’s still rather surprising.”

Ryuze looked back at the bull with a confused look “Wait, you knew something about him?!”

“I had some experience, getting to know some demons from terminus. Some of them mentioned about the hierarchy and how it worked. But it was only a guess though. I would never have guessed that he was that high up in the food chain.”

“That’s definitely an understatement! He was this strong, why didn’t he used that during our fight?!” Ryuze questioned loudly.

“Hah, as if I needed to waste any unnecessary energy to such weaklings.” Ripley mockingly replied as he continued his ‘conversation’ with the two. “Now then, what to do with you two?”

The two’s bodies started to shake in terror, afraid of what he was about to do. “…. can’t even bother to sully my power on you two. Go now, before I change my mind!”

The second they heard him give them the go ahead to leave they instantly took the chance and ran out of the room as soon as they can. Not long after that the power that was leaking out of Ripley had started disappearing, it seemed the natural strength that he had access to was running out of time.

Noticing this, Ripley could only click his tongue while crossing his arms and looking to the side. Meanwhile, Alphonse had his pen ready in his book in case Ripley wanted to try something. He was sweating a bit nervously, worried about what he would do but made a sigh of relief once it was finally over.

“Oh don’t get all nervous now, we made a deal and you held your end of the bargain. A proper high ranking demon like myself always upholds his end of the deal” Ripley reassured them, in a rather condescending tone.

Hearing this Eugene and his familiars relaxed. After all what had happened though they definitely were feeling exhausted.

Sife was the first to make a recommendation. “Hey boss, why don’t we leave now. I’m beat.~”

“As much as I’d hate to say it, I agree with you there.” Ryuze stated, looking less stoic than usual.

Abdul otherwise was already making sure they had everything in order before walking up to Alphonse and Ripley.

“Thus unit apologizes but Master Eugene will need to reschedule your hang out time in a later date.” The wolf robot then bows before reaching the door while waiting for everyone else to join.

Alphonse nervously looked at Ripley who had his arms crossed and his eyes close, barely paying attention to his surroundings. Then answered back while putting his book away.

“O-oh that’s ok, I understand. Things were rather hectic today.”

“Y-yeah…” Eugene followed everyone to the door before looking back and waving back to Alphonse. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”

Once they left, Ripley opened his eyes and asked. “So ‘summoner’, now that I’m going to behave as your familiar for the week as per our deal. What will you have us do?”

Alphonse didn’t know what to say, after all he made that deal in the spur of the moment. He didn’t have any idea how a summoner and familiar are supposed to act together.

“W-well since you did help Eugene and the others why don’t we go out to eat. I’ll make sure to let my parents know where we’re at.”

Ripley raised an eyebrow, a bit intrigued, “It’s not like I did it for your sake or anything. I just didn’t like that lower classed demon talking down on me and not knowing his place…..but if you insist, I have been curious on the level of quality your steak and wine are.”

The fox looked through his wallet before sighing, “well… I doubt we’ll be able to get anything too fancy but I’ll see what I can do.”

The demon beast shrugged, reluctantly accepting his predicament “Very well, I’ll stomach on what you can afford. Now shall we go already? After that display of my power, I am rather famished.”

So, everyone returned home. The students of the school talking about the events of Eugene’s match with Axel. Soon, it’ll spread like wildfire.

As for Eugene, at the moment the only thing in his mind is getting home and rest. His first day back to school was a lot more eventful than he had anticipated. Even if the fight restored their health, it was still mentally draining.

It wasn’t long before they returned home, Ryuze quietly went ahead to inspect the house for any possible dangers. Sife himself stretching his arms while yawning.

“Welp, I think I’ll go get a nap.” But before he could take a step, he was stopped by the robot butler who had his hand raised up.

“Apology. But this unit requests that you hold off from taking your nap before cleaning up.”

The bull merely chuckled “Alright alright, gotta do your job after all right? I’ll go get a bat-”

Abdul shook his head before interrupting him “Request. This unit requires preparing the cleaning station before it can be used. Additionally, it would be more appropriate if Master Eugene goes first.”

Sife rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. “Right right, the boss probably worked up quite a sweat from today. Go right ahead then boss, I can wait. ~”

“O-ok..” Eugene nervously responded. It was true that he was rather looking forward to a nice shower.

As expected, it didn’t take long for the mechanical wolf to finish preparing the bathroom. He came up to Eugene and lightly bowed. “Preparations to the bath is ready Master Eugene. Do rest up, this unit shall have dinner ready soon enough. Please look forward to it.”

Eugene nodded before getting ready to clean up. As the hot water refreshed his body, Eugene couldn’t help but to think back on the day. He never expected he would stand out as much as he did, it was already enough having to deal with people talking about his three familiars. But now there was the issue of that display of mana that he never knew he had or that fight with Axel. As well as Ripley’s crazy display of his true power! It made Eugene wonder how much he was holding back against them before.

But what got him most worried of all was how Ryuze was handling things. It really seemed like that the battle really upset him, even though they managed to tie. Since then, Ryuze seemed a lot a bit different. If only there was something he could do to help cheer him up.

Once he was done, he was met with Ryuze who upon seeing him immediately bowed before entering the bath himself. Sife must have insisted he go next despite wanting to go nap.

Later once everyone was cleaned up, dinner was prepared. Sife was already snoring up a storm on the couch. Abdul was prepared though and had his share set to the side. Meanwhile Eugene managed to get Ryuze to join in as well.

“Presentation. Tonight’s food is spaghetti, a food to help with Master Eugene’s and Sir Ryuze’s recovery. This unit has added some onions to add a bit of vegetables to your diet. Do enjoy.”

They said their thanks and began eating while Abdul cleaned up the mess. As usual the robot’s food was delicious. A wave of relief washed over Eugene as he momentarily forgot the day’s events. It wasn’t long though before they finished.

Ryuze quickly got up once he was done. “Thank you for the meal. Now, I'll return to patro-”

“Wait.” Eugene responded, stopping him before he left. “Why not relax with us for tonight, you earned it after all.”
