Chapter 74. Room

Chapter 74. Room

[Blood Regeneration] was on overwork while I was unconscious, every part of my body that had been damaged was being repaired. But due to all of it being worked on simultaneously, it took a lot of time.

The process was similar to breathing in a way. It would go on unconsciously, but if I knew it was happening, I could control it. The speed, how it happened, where it focused on, etc.

My arm though was a different story.

It had stopped regenerating as I was not controlling the skill, skin was now covering the wound, closing it forever unless it was cut again.

I was on something wet when my sense came back to me, my eyes opened to the same room that I had fought in.

Just before falling unconscious, all of my senses had been cut off. I thought that I had been teleported somewhere which was the reason why I lost all feeling of my surroundings but,

'I can't use it.'

My [War Domain] was dormant, I couldn't use it. [Blood Domain] was in a similar state, I couldn't control how [Blood Regeneration] worked.

I didn't know how long until I could use my domains again but from the current healing speed and the condition it was in, my arm would take a very long time to grow back.

'Going 200% had to have consequences but a total shutdown, I'll have to be careful in the future.'

The vision loss was also probably due to me going over the limit, my eyes had blood all around them. I was covered in blood, top to bottom.

Not having to control the domains, I could keep the voices in check by suppressing them.

I glanced over the notifications, but no levels were gained, my skills had leveled up a little but the following prompt left me speechless.

[Fought the Ascended Beast and Survived]

[Cleared the fourth floor.]

[Earned two points]

If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

'I cleared the floor,' how, why? The objective was to kill the goblin, not survive it and live. The goblin said that it would not die, if a stronger being was given a 'life jacket', we should be having one as well.

"Fucking system...." I said understanding that there were other clear conditions that were hidden.

I had earned another two points, bringing them up to a total of three. I still didn't know their use, but it had to be beneficial based on the effort it took to earn those.

[Would you like to move to the library now?]

[Yes/No]

I selected yes.

"Wow," a library, not a huge Archive.

There were scrolls, books, and parchments made of who knows what. It was a long passage that seemed to never end, a place where you would be able to find every piece of information present in this universe.

That's how it appeared to.

[6:23:59:12]

I could see a small timer, 'a week.' That was probably the amount of time I had in this passage, how much I would be able to learn was up to me. And I understood why the timer was a week long.

Books even though they were separate, there are bound to be parts that overlap or parts that contradict each other. Selecting the correct book, or the most neutral book was what I was looking for.

There were books about history and different species, and there was also a book about cultivation.

Looking for a worn-out book amongst this endless abyss was illogical and stupid. Even if I spend a day to find a worn book, the book should contain information that would use by me.

On top of that, every book looked brand new, freshly printed.

After a few minutes, I realized that the books were separated according to their contents. Scripts and books with similar contents were placed together, this made things a little easier for me.

I started my search in the cultivation section as the recent rank-up was more manual than I had expected it to be. I also had no clue on how to increase my level, and what I should be doing to make that happen.

Picking some books I roamed around, searching for humanoid races, or trying to find something that would tell me about the system, or this universe that has been opened up for us.

The old man in the tower had given me a token that had the ability to teleport me to where ever he was or to the opportunity he had talked about. I still wouldn't trust that man 100%.

If I could go there, that means somehow they too could come here. What if this token allowed that? I had people that cared about and I did not want to do something that would put them at risk.

I was hoping this would be able to point me in the correct situation.

This made me remember the ring I, the storage area that I had. Maybe I could store books and bring them out with me, if that was possible my work would become a lot easier.

I picked up a random book and tried to store it inside the ring. But the ring was blocked, a transparent layer blocked mana from entering the ring.

You had to cover the ring with some mana, of which a fraction would be absorbed, I would then be able to use the ring. This layer stopped that interaction, breaking the process.

'No storing I guess.'

The rest of the day was spent collecting books, anything that might seem important was picked up by me. By the end, I had around 20 books, most of them describing different humanoid races.

There were 5 thick books that talked about the humans, this 'Realm', and other information related to history.
