in a third-rated country called Morocco, there lived our main character, his name is Arowen, a young man in his early 20s studying to be a software engineer, he was tall around 1,83 meters tall, light brown skin, brown hair and eyes, and his looks were above average with some muscles here and there due to the training he does from time to time  but his wasn't that impressive, he liked to read novels and manga, as well as watch anime and tv shows, so we could expect that he will not do some obvious mistakes most protagonists do in most novels

now that the introductions are done we will move to the main story, it was after he came back from uni while he was shilling at home that shit hit the fan, it was around 8 p.m when a white screen with black words appeared in front of his and the rest of the world's eyes it was like a hologram that stood at a distance enough away from him  to not fill his vision and to read, at first he didn't believe what was happening to him and tried to touch it only for his hand to pass-through

'okay! so either I finally went ape shit crazy, delusional or a fucking system screen just appeared in front of me'

'fuck, i will just assume that this shit is real for now, i don't know exactly what is happening but it's better to be safe'

as the countdown was ticking Arowen made a run for the kitchen and grabbed two big knives and went back to his room 

'40 seconds left' 

he then put on military pants, military boots made for any terrain, a tight-fitting sweat-absorbent shirt, and a jacket over it then took a backpack where he quickly put his trusty water bottle and went for his uncle's baseball bat that he left for his dad and then was later acquired by him, just as he grabbed the bat he vanished from his room when the countdown hit zero

a few seconds later Arowen found himself in a white scape, a screen in front of him

when he finished reading the message, a blue light shined a few meters ahead of him, attracting his attention and suddenly a horrible stench assaulted his nose as a zombie appeared and immediately attacked him after smelling a living creature

Arowen was already prepared for something out of his imagination happening, but the only thing he wasn't prepared for was the reaction of his body to the smell emanating from the undead creature, as soon as the creature appeared and smell reached him he started gaging fighting to stop himself from vomiting, and that was a fatal mistake as he lost his hold over the bat and it fell onto the floor 

*groan**groan**groan*

the time it took for that to happened was enough for the zombie to reach him, contrary to what is believed in the stories the zombie was not snail moving creature everybody imagines, it was slow yes but only to a normal human walking speed and if it was stimulated by something like human blood it could even reach the speed of a fast walk, it's hand also had a normal human speed it just wasn't able to move instantly like punching as for its strength it was 1.5x stronger than a normal human and to kill it you either have to destroy the brain or heart, by destroying the brain it will die instantly but it would take some time if the brain was destroyed, that's why the brain is the prime target as the smallest damage to it will kill the zombie

*groan**groan**groan*

*huff**huff*(sound of heavy fast breathing)

when it reached Arowen the zombie stretched its arms to grab him, but hi thankfully he noticed it and jumped back, in this life and death situation Arowen was able to get a hold of himself forgetting all about the urge to vomit and the only objective at that time was to survive, he fell on his ass and the zombie guided by its momentum followed after him, Arowen was panicking and his panic he crawled away trying to get as much distance between him and the zombie 

*groan**groan**groan*

*huff**huff**huff*

after distancing himself from the zombie he started calming down and noticed that the zombie was still crawling in his direction as fast as it could not bothering to stand up either through stupidity or inability to

'fuck it almost had me, i should reach the bat soon, i don't know if something else would show up, the screen said 1 out of 4 waves and it isn't necessary to finish one for the other to begin so better finish it fast'

as he was calming down the zombie got close to him and so he made a run for the bat while avoiding the fallen zombie and then quickly without wasting time he reached the zombie and held it down under his feet and swung the bat down on the zombies head

'Zombie fighting rule #1: always aim for the head' Arowen repeated in his head

the head of the zombie dented a little but it was still alive 

'if one hit isn't enough then go for two' Arowen thought

as the second hit landed a crack sounded and the zombie lost all it's strength and A surge of energy entered his body, the feeling he got was unlike any he had before, it was addicting but it went out as soon as it came leaving him with a feeling of emptiness urging him for more but that too went away as soon as it came and then nothing
