Chapter 42. Falling into place.

Chapter 42. Falling into place.

As I sit in my 'office' every day, I keep getting more and more reports, reports about how the different cities under our control are doing.

(It was a good decision to get all of them involved with this. They are all expanding as fast as they can. Luckily I don't have to do anything yet. I should probably start creating the Line shouldn't I? I'm taking my sweet time with it...)

As I think about various things, Bunvers wanders into my office to give me some of the more important reports.

"Ah, Bunvers. It's good that you are here. Our little Trade Union has expanded quite well so I want to do a little bit extra. I want you to start transporting soldiers, any you can acquire to be under our control, and weaponry under the guise of 'slaves' and the weaponry 'to be sold'. In actuality, don't sell any of them and get all of them to be combat-ready whenever I say so." I put a slightly wicked smile on my face when I finish my little request.

Bunvers immediatly realizes a small part of my plan which is to have a coup in all of the cities under our control.

"Immediatly, Headmaster!" Bunvers runs off, looking happy for some reason.

(My request should be easy if Bunvers, Eshmun and Roland work together. They can even ask Asante and Erius for potions and magic users and such if they need which means I'll have quite a strong force everywhere. Money makes the world go round and I have nearly infinite of it in this world.)

Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

I look at the report Bunvers brought in and smile a little.

(That's the last city in the Empire. All of the cities now have our influence in them. I just need to let it grow a little bit more and then... Bam. New Empire. I just need to speed up things a little bit. Never know what can go wrong.)

I look at the other various reports brought to me over the day.

(Seems the Capital City will take a while to fall under our influence but if I just give Bunvers some more funding, it should fall easily. Our profits aren't bad either. We're making more money than we are losing now.)

--- Five or so days later ---

I look at the morning reports as Bunvers comes into my office.

"Bunvers. What a pleasant surprise." I put down the report I was reading and look at Bunvers.

"It is nice to see you as well Headmaster. But I have a report. The Capital City has no competitors for us now. All the cities in the Empire have fallen under our influence. I've also made sure to slowly but surely transport as many mercenaries and soldiers who want to join our cause to the various cities under our control, especially the border cities and the Capital.

Everything seems to be moving according to your plans, doesn't it?" Bunvers sits down as we are now kind of 'friendly' towards eachother due to working together for a good amount of time.

"Indeed. I did throw quite a bit of money at the problem after all. Have you heard anything of the Rogue Nation though? I haven't gotten any reports regarding them lately." I ask since I really need such information.

"The nation you like to call the Rogue Nation has slowed down in it's advance. Mostly because of the newly formed 'Alliance of Kings' which is fiercly fighting it back. I'll tell them to start giving you all reports regarding them since today, is that fine with you?" Bunvers answers.

I just nod for an answer and Bunvers leaves.

(All according to plans. Even the Ritual Nation is being slowed down. I was expecting it to speed up and get here quickly but apparently no... My worries were for nothing.)
