"Quick!"
I panicked; we were running out of time. 30 minutes was all we had.
"Gather all the large spears! Orkaa, start cooking the meat. We haven't eaten yet. Orkee, go get the bones at the chieftain's hut; the rest of you follow me; we're going to make more large spears! especially you, stop beating the fap tree!"
I yelled and blurted out orders after orders at the orks about what their tasks were.
As we made large spears, I went and checked on Orkoo. Seeing Orkoo's situation, I calmed down a bit; although he is still unconscious, at least he isn't bleeding anymore, and his wounds, which I burned, have already healed into scars.
"Phew"
*DING*
- 4 minutes and 59 seconds until world travel!
"Fuck, Orkaa, is the food ready?"
"ARHH!"
"Alright, go eat faster, eat as many as you can, we will bring some on the way. Hey! Hey! Stop what you are doing, and get something to eat."
The others stopped what they were doing and rushed to feast on the boar. They ate like they had never eaten before. Technically, yesterday at noon was the last time we ate.
*DING*
- 59 seconds until world travel!
"Go! Grab all the spears you can grab, and some of you also bring some boar meat."
The orks chaotically ran around and grabbed all the spears their eyes lay on. Some were about to fight each other over a spear.
"Hey! Hey! Either you guys stop that or I'll shove that spear up your asses!"
By the time the timer reached 0, we looked like kids in an all-you-can grab toy promo in a toy store. Everyone was embracing 3–5 large spears on their chest while a large chunk of meat hung from their mouth.
"It's coming!"
Suddenly, the space around us formed a crack, like a broken glass, slowly crumbling, forming a horizontal circular void, and the center continued to spin, getting stronger and faster, before a strong suction pulled all of us inside the void hole. All the orks were pulled; even Orkoo, who was inside the chieftain's hut, got pulled without damaging the hut.
Inside the void, it feels like we are floating in the clouds, but at the same time, an uncomfortable pressure keeps squeezing our body, making it hard to breathe. I was inside the void, in complete darkness, and I felt like we weren't alone; something or someone was around us. No voice could escape from me; not a single sound could be heard. I slowly felt like I was drowning; I tried to gasp for air, but I couldn't, like a fish in the land.
As the pressure kept increasing, suddenly 'Crack!' something shattered in the void ahead of us. From the shattered space, came a blinding light, and it pulled us out of the void.

GLM Convenient Store
Inside the large store, people could be heard sobbing; children were crying while their parents tried to comfort them while at the same time trying not to break down; people were laying on the floor groaning and bleeding; some had claw marks on their skin and bite marks. Store staff could be seen passing water bottles and food to everyone.
At the entrance door of the store, security guards in white were standing guard, holding their pistols and shotguns, stopping anyone from entering the store. Some of the guards were shaking as they held their guns; others were sweating so much that you would think they were at a sauna. From time to time, the guards would flinch once they heard any sort of disturbance outside.
Behind the guards were able-bodied men, holding any objects they thought could stop anything that tried to get inside the store. The same as others inside, they were also a mess; some had blood on their shirts, and some were shaking as they held their weapons tightly.
At the store's entrance, corpses of mangled human bodies and creatures are scattered. The putrid smell of scattered organs was everywhere.
Outside the store, emergency sirens, ambulance sirens, firetruck sirens, guns shooting, screams, car crashes, building explosions, and occasionally some howls and growls from these otherworldly creatures could be heard.
Every time a howl or growl could be heard in the close vicinity of the store, people would try to gather themselves; parents would forcefully hold their children's mouths; the sobbing would stop; the staffs would pause; the guards and others would grip their guns and weapons firmly, and all of them would stare at the entrance door. like time just stopped.
Sometime has passed; no sound or any sort of disturbance could be heard near the store, but outside the streets, things are still as chaotic as always.
"Matt, hey Matt," the store manager said nervously.
"Sir?"
"Here is the key; close the shutters."
"What? No, I'm not going out there to close the shutters."
Matt raised his voice in anger.
"Hey! What's going on here?" One of the guards noticed and asked what all this commotion was about.
"It's the shutters; those glass walls wouldn't stop those creatures; even if we guard the entrance door, they will just break the glass walls and enter from there, so we need those shutters closed." Replied the manager.
"That is indeed true, but wouldn't the noise attract those beasts towards us?"
"Hey! What's going on here, Mark?" Mark is the name of the first guard.
"It's like this, Jason." Mark explained to Jason what the managers' plans were and the risks.
"That is indeed true, but the store is huge, Mark. If they enter from the windows, we would be overrun in seconds, not to mention the panic and people running around, so we wouldn't be able to use our guns."
"OK, I'll ask the chief what he thinks about this; in the mean time, you two (the manager and Matt), keep your voices down."
Mark approached their chief and relayed the manager's plan; while Mark and the chief were talking, some of the guards and men guarding the entrance would come over and also express their opinion. It didn't take a while until Mark returned.
"Ok, the chief said, we will be on the lookout while you and the others close the shutters." Mark voiced their plan while looking at Matt and the manager.
"Look, there's no need for me to go; there is only one key here with me; Matt can close the shutters; there's no need for me to go."
The manager replied, sounding scared at the same time as getting irritated.
"I'll go; I used to close the shutters before during holidays." One of the staff members stepped up, unable to listen to their bullshit anymore.
"Alright, your good?"
'nod'
"Let's go; the others are waiting."
The guards and some people slowly walked out of the store; people who were oblivious to what was happening started to ask questions.
People would go hysterical if they didn't hear what they wanted to hear, and slowly people began to panic until some of the staff informed them what was going on. Some calmed down, while the others also had the same concern as Mark, but they could only shut their mouths and prepare.
"Alright, close the farthest one first." The chief said
"Some of you, make sure to guard the corners. If you hear any disturbances, stay on guard; don't split from the group."
"Chief, do we use the guns?"
"Only when necessary, the less we attract all the beasts around us."
The others hurriedly helped the staff close the glass wall shutters; the shutters were noisy to begin with.
'Blaang! toong! toong!'
The commotion could be heard coming their way.
"Get ready; avoid using guns unless you have to."
A frog-like creature hurriedly crawled on its way to the guards. The Frag had sharp claws on its webbing, and sharp toothpicks were growing from its mouth. The frog is as big as a dog.
As the frog slowly approached the group, a few men went forward and tried to hit the frog with their weapons.
The men surround the frog and hit it with their metal rods or wooden planks when they get the opportunity.
While some of the men were busy with the frog, the others were getting ready. Then another frog was seen clawing its way toward them.
"I got this."
Some of the guards went and did what the other men did: surround it and slowly kill it down from a distance.
It didn't take a while until more frog-like creatures kept appearing; this time another type of creature joined the fray.
Three bipedal yellow lizards were seen running from their east with a sharp object in their hands, and on the other side, five green goblins could be seen running towards them.
"How long, Mark?"
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
"Three more shutters!"
Things turned into a brawl; the green goblins had a height of 3.5 feet, while the lizards were around 3 feet. They were short, which made them dangerous as they could blend in with the crowd.
The chief managed to hit one of the goblins in the forehead with his baton, killing it.

Norman, the chief security officer, checked his class system options.
"Two (2) more mana, and I can finally change into the swordsman class."
Norman eyed his next target, a goblin. These goblins were green in color and had large feet and hands; they were easy to deal with if you fought them one on one, but once you got yourself fighting two or more, your death was almost guaranteed. These goblins would take one for the team, they would use their lives just so one of them could land a fatal blow on you.
When Norman saw a lone goblin being harassed by his subordinates, he took the opportunity to land a killing blow.
'POK!'
+2 Mana
"Finally."
"More are coming!"
Norman, alarmed by the sudden danger, didn't have time to pick a class. He saw 20 green goblins and another 33 yellow lizards on the other side, both groups heading in the same direction.
"Mark!"
"It's done, chief!" Mark shouted as the staff frantically tried to lock the last shutter.
"Let's go to the entrance, hurry!"
"Help us! Please!"
"We have a child!"
"Help!"
The commotion was already so loud that other survivors hiding outside also ran towards them for shelter.
Norman ignored those pleas; he doesn't have the luxury to save them. He called the guards and the men to rush back in, and some new faces followed along.
Two unfortunate ones couldn't make it; one got his legs bitten by the frog creature as he turned around to run, while the other didn't notice the group of goblins behind him and got his head hit by a flying projectile.
"Hold at the entrance!"
When the people inside saw the guards, some men, and new faces rushing inside, people started to panic again, children started to cry, and people were even going deeper inside the store.
Norman and the others knew that even if there were more than 50 goblins and lizards outside, they were in fact hostile to one another. When the goblins and lizards spotted each other, instead of going for the humans in the store, they decided to kill each other first.
While the goblins and lizards were busy killing each other, Norman and the rest barricaded, closed the entrance shutters, and started placing heavy objects, strengthening their blockade.
After a few minutes of fighting and many casualties, both the lizards and goblins fled, completely forgetting about the human stuck in the store.
Inside the store, everyone was standing still and tensed, waiting for the creatures to attack their barricade. Children and those who couldn't fight were moved back, while those who could stayed near the entrance and prepared.
There are more than 56 people inside the store, some of them teenagers and college students.
"Ha, they finally left."
After what Norman said, everyone in the store exhaled at the same time, the tense atmosphere returned to normal, and the staff were handing out water bottles and biscuits to the guards and other men.
'CRACK!'
DUG! DUG! DUG!
A small crack appeared at the back of the store. Slowly, the crack expanded, and black smoke slowly seeped out of the crack. As the smoke spun around, it got faster and faster.
The shelves started to vibrate, the products on the shelves started to fall around, and water bottles started falling. The people inside the store stood still as they watched the phenomenon happening in front of them; some could only stand still as fear finally took over them, some slowly moved back towards the entrance, and children couldn't even cry. The guards and men gripped their weapons hard.
Then a blinding light gushed out from the smoke. A few seconds later, they heard someone, like he just managed to surface after almost drowning, and then they heard someone talking, but they couldn't understand, and then they noticed the silhouettes kneeling down. Another few seconds later, they keep seeing the same scenario: nine blinding lights, followed by eight "people" gasping for air and grunting. As for the ninth light, it sounded like someone just dropped a bag of wheat on the ground.
As no more blinding light gushed out from the storm, the light slowly subsided, making the silhouettes slowly reveal the new K-pop boy band.
"GASPH!"
People were rooted still, even those who were slowly walking back couldn't move due to fear. Some of the guards and men lost their strength in their hands and ended up dropping their weapons.
Norman lost all color on his face when he saw the new, promising K-pop boy band.
The humans and the new K-pop boy band were having a staring contest with one another when, after a few seconds, one of the members from the boy band spoke, or at least tried to.
Lokie: "Ahem, anyong haseyo!"
Dug!, one of the humans passed out.
Lokie: "I guess he wasn't ready."
*****
"Uhhh!, Haaa!, Uuhh, Haaa!"
Once I was out of the void, I could finally breathe again, and then I looked around to check where I was, and then I noticed the humans.
Stupefied, I was lost! A lot of questions slowly bubbled up. Is this my world? I observed the area around me, and I concluded that this is the convenience store on the mission log. Then I noticed the products on the floor, so I picked one of them up and checked what kind of brand it was.
The first thing I noticed was the language. With the information era on earth, even if you can't read and understand what they are trying to convey and you keep getting exposed to TVs, movies, games, novels, porn, and more porn, you will learn something.
The more exposed you are to the internet, the more you will know where these people come from just based on the language and their alphabets, titles such as "Busty Japanese Girl," but when you hear the conversation, you will know it's actually Thai even if you don't understand any Thai or Japanese at all.
And the product in front of me I've never heard of it; even the alphabets are unique.
"I guess this isn't Earth; that sure almost got my hopes up, but things are going to get more complicated from now on." I muttered as I glanced at the humans in front of me.
Slowly the rest of the orklings teleported in; they were still holding the long spears and biting the meat. The moment the orklings saw the humans, there was no fear or confusion in their eyes, only a thirst for blood. Of course, I noticed this little detail right away and had to muster control over my horde before things escalated.
"Get your shit together, and follow what I say." As I exerted my dominance. I noticed a sack of meat behind us; it was Orkoo. Orkoo is still alive and breathing, but very weakly.
*DING*
* Mana Corrosion LV1: Activate
- Reduce natural Health and Stamina base recovery by 50%
- Increase Damage received from Mana base attack by 10%
- Slowly lose HP by 0.0125 per minute.
- 1/250 Mana Units, Once the meter is filled, LV2 will activate.
While I was baffled by the mana debuff, the system mission log appeared.
Mission Rank: FFF- in progress.
- Mission Location: Find the Great Flowing Sun Imperial College Library.
- Objective: Occupy and hold the specific location for 48 hours.
- Failure: Unable to return to Nuoveld.
- Objective: Live.
- Failure: Death.
- Mana Absorb: 1 Unit
Fuck, I still have the mission, and where is this library? With so many thoughts racing through my mind, the blinding light slowly subsided.
"GASPH!"
'Tong!'
Oh, right, these guys. Ok, here it goes.
"Ahem, anyong haseyo!"
'Dug!' A human passed out.
Fuck!
"I guess he wasn't ready."
After that, just like an asshole who opened Surströmming inside the room, people started running everywhere; children were crying, parents were begging to let their child through; people were pushing, trying to get out of the store, but the store was sealed, so everyone kept pushing everyone deeper, hoping that as long as they kept pushing the shutters would break and open, at this rate a people would die of suffocation, a stampede.
While I was watching the chaos unfold, one of the people with a metal rod chose to fight in a fight or flight scenario. He launched his metal rod towards me, but Orkaa intercepted him; used to sparring with his fellow orklings, he aimed for the human head.
BOOM!
Skull fragments and brain matter were scattered everywhere. The body released the metal rod and dropped like a sack of flour.
"Jesus fuck!"
+2.1 mana
I got mana? Wait, so I can gain mana by killing humans? Fuck! I need to find the library fast then.
Then, there was silence; the humans stopped pushing one another; some kneeled in front of the boy band, prayed and begged, asking for their children to be spared, they were crying, seeing an adult having a mental break down and crying like a child begging to be spared felt very uncomfortable.
"Orkaa, the rest of you, follow me; don't do anything unless I say so, understood?"
"Groh"
"Gah!"
Orklings grunted, indicating they understood. That was very close; the moment that guy attacked, the other orks were about to attack the closest humans they could lay their eyes on. I have to avoid getting a LV2 Mana Corossion when I'm still looking for the library.
When the orklings grunted, the humans stopped all the noise; some even passed out. The humans nervously gaze on the orklings.
I slowly walked towards the entrance; then I accidentally kicked a soda can caused some of the humans flinched, on the ground were a soda can scattered everywhere; I picked up a random soda can and took a one big gulp.
The humans were bewildered by what they just witnessed; the orklings on the other hand, were curious about what I was drinking.
"AHHHH! Fuck that felt good, buurp!'
I picked up a few more sodas on the floor and passed some to Orkaa and Orkee.
"Drop the boar meat and bring this can of soda instead. Lets go"
I slowly walked towards the entrance; people made way; some couldn't move, so others pulled them out of the way. As I slowly walked towards the entrance, I made eye contact with one of the guards; one of his hands was holding the shotgun trigger; when I stared and grunted in front of him, his hands shook and dropped the shotgun, and his legs gave in, he stumbled down, and he stared at my back as I slowly walked towards the entrance. The guard gulped and began coughing very hard.
"Orkii, Destroy! just run over it!"
All eyes were on us.
Orkii braced himself and sprinted towards the entrance, knocking all the shelves and boxes out of the way and running straight through the shutter like a drunk driver crushing a glass window.
'Bang!'
Once Orkii was outside, the humans were shocked again by the display of strength; some of them nervousely gulped.
I walked outside, and then the rest of the orks followed suit. Holding 3-5 large spears on their chests and sodas on their chins, I led my horde out to look for the library.
"This would have been a lot easier if we could ask for directions!"
After a few minutes of walking around, something in me seemed troubling, something missing.
"I feel like I'm missing something... Damn, I just left the forest for a few minutes, and I'm home sick already, huh? goblins?"
*****
Inside the convenience store.
"Chief, are you okay?"
Norman eventually regained some of his bearings when his subordinates snapped him out of his daze. Norman looked at his subordinate; he nodded at this subordinate and searched for his shotgun, but his hands were still shaking, so he laid down and took a break.
"Ye-yeah, I- I'm fine. The others?"
Norman lay at the side while his subordinate passed him a bottle of water and his shogun.
"Well, some of them shit their pants, and we lost Leeroy."
Norman drank some water, and the subordinate just stood on the ground, and Norman thought about how Leeroy died. He also gulped hard, knowing that Leeroy's action could result in them all dying there if the rest of the orks attacked.
"Yeah. Go call the others; some creatures might be coming after what just happened."
"Uhmm, Chief, speaking of creatures, there's one here."
He pointed at the unconscious ork lying at the back of the store.
"Do you think they will be back for that?"
Norman sarcastically asked.
"Uhh?"
The subordinate scratched his head, unsure of what to say.
