Kai and Sein sat at the dinner table of the house they had knocked on. They sat across from Kaly who had invited them in.
"I'm Sein and this is Kai. It's really nice to meet you."
"I'm happy to meet you too. I am so happy to have visitors. No one ever visits our little town here."
Sein smiled in response. She was pleasantly surprised that there were good people in this world, since she had previously believed all people in this world had malintent.
"It's good to be here."
Kai looked around the house. It was in horrible shape, just as the rest of the town was. It was obvious why no one visited here.
"So where are your parents Kaly?"
"They have to work, so they leave me in charge of the house. I don't see them often because they work so much. Our queen is conducting some research that is costing a lot of money, which caused a lot of inflation, although she hasn't told us what the research is for."
Upon hearing this, Kai turned to Kaly, narrowing his eyes.
"Your queen has collapsed your town, hasn't she?"
"She has made it hard, but we all trust her very much."
"Why?"
"She is a very good leader."
To Kai, this seemed like classic indoctrination. Of course they will trust their leader because they have known nothing else. Sein on the other hand didn't pick up on this. Instead, she stood up and smiled at Kaly.
"Where is the queen? Is there a capital building here?"
Kaly stands up and walks out the front door to point at a large structure in the distance.
"See that over there? That's the capital building. Our queen lives there."
"Thank you. We should probably go there."
"Leaving already?"
"I know we didn't stay long, but we aren't from this world, and we really need to get back home."
"Not from this world?"
"No, I just ended up here, and Kai did too just a few days after me."
"I'm sorry you are far from your home. I hope you make it back safe."
"I appreciate it."

Kai and Sein exit the house and wave to Kaly as they head towards the capital building in the distance.
"Hey Sein, you said you were thirsty, yet you didn't ask for water."
"I didn't think it would be fair. This town obviously doesn't have the resources to give out too much water. I don't even see a well anywhere."
"Good point."
Kai sighed as they neared the building. He really didn't trust a leader who would prioritize some "research" over the wellbeing of their citizens.
"Hey Sein, I don't trust this queen already."
"Why not?"
"What research could be important enough to collapse the economy of an entire city?"
Sein nodded. She didn't respond, however it was clear she agreed with him that it was a poorly managed society.
As the two arrived at the capital building, Sein knocked on the door. General Alania opened the door, unsheathing a sword and threatened them with it.
"Who are you two?"
Sein simply smirked. She was attempting to reach into her backpack to pull out a gun, however Kai swatted at her shoulder before she did it. He didn't want to cause any more unnecessary mayhem.
"We are just wanting to talk to the queen."
"Lady Kanna is far too busy for the likes of you."
Lady Kanna then teleported in front of Alania, pushing her away.
"General Alania, lower your weapon and let them through. We rarely have visitors, and such an unkind welcome is unfit for our country."
Alania was shocked Kanna would be so welcoming to strangers, however she obeyed and lowered her weapon. Kanna then turned around and gestured for them to come in.
Kai and Sein looked at each other before shrugging. They didn't expect her to be so kind either, but they walked inside the building anyway.
"What brings you to our country?"
"We are just looking for a way to get home. We stumbled into this world somehow and want to get back."
"I see. I do not possess the ability to transfer bodies to other worlds, so I will not be of help in helping you return. That being said, I do have knowledge on this world and maybe I can explain some things to you."
Kai nodded, but he wasn't over how poorly managed this country was. He couldn't let it go.
"First, what is this research that you are doing that is so important?"
Kanna turned around and sighed.
"Ah, so you heard about that. No need to worry, the research has concluded today. I will make great efforts to restabilize this society as soon as possible."
"That's good, but what was the research."
"It is none of your business."
Kai just stared at her blankly. He doesn't even know if he should trust her claim about restabilizing the society. She probably just said that to make him shut up. Sein saw that Kai was getting upset and stepped in to speak instead.
"Kanna was it? Could we please have some water? We are very thirsty."
Alania once against pulled out her sword, swiftly moving to hold it up against Sein's neck.
"How dare you refer to her so informally. It is LADY Kanna."
"It's okay General Alania. Lower your weapon."
General Alania was fuming at Sein's insolence, but she must always obey the queen, so she reluctantly lowered her sword.
"I will give you water, but I would like to know your names first."
"I am Sein, and this is Kai."
Kanna nodded and walked over to get a bottle of water for them. As she went to the other room, Alania followed her and began to whisper to her.
"Lady Kanna, for what reason do you trust them so much?"
"I don't, however I must keep up appearances. Besides, the events of the space-time earlier are far more important."
"I see, but perhaps you should use Perception on them."
Kanna nodded. Perception was an ability Kanna possessed. It allowed her to see all abilities a being had, just in case they were a threat. She blinked her eyes several times, activating the ability and using it on Sein.
"No powers."
She turned her ability to Kai. She suddenly fell to her knees, paralyzed in fear.
"Lady Kanna, what is wrong?"
As Alania continued to as what had happened, Kanna stood still, frozen in terror. What she saw before her was what had reversed the effects of the space-time. It was what reversed all things. Every action has a consequence, and that boy is the consequence. The consequence of every action.
