Sein started firing at the nearest lizard creature who was on top of a car, trying to bite through the window to eat the driver who was cowering in fear. The bullets unfortunately bounced off the creature's impenetrable skin.

The lizard jumped off the car and started running towards Sein at high speeds. Sein backed up a little, surprised the monster was not effected in the slightest. It was similar to her confrontation with the giant robot from earlier.

"Ok Kai. Help me out here!"

Kai sighed and waited for the lizard to get closer. The lizard leaped in the air, aiming at Sein, and just then, Kai stepped in to protect her.

The lizard bit on Kai's head, causing the lizard's own head to be impaled. It's lifeless corpse fell to the ground.

"Thanks Kai!"

Sein smiled, and she seemed genuine. Kai nodded in response.

"No problem I guess."

Kai then looked at all the giant lizard's and all the people running for their lives. He clutched his fists and gritted his teeth.

"Sein, your guns won't work here. Let me just... do this instead."

Sein's eyes widened in shock. She didn't expect Kai to willingly let himself be bait for the lizards. Sure, he would be okay, but it was still something she didn't expect.

"Okay Kai. Go ahead."

Kai walked over and yelled out one of the lizards.

"Hey! Come and ge..."

Before Kai could finish his sentence, the lizard ran towards him at extremely high speeds. The lizard opened its mouth and devoured Kai whole. This of course only resulted in the lizard imploding due to the reflection ability.

The guts of the lizard covered Kai from head to toe, and he was grossed out. The sight, the smell, the feel. Everything about the situation was just horrible.

Sein watched as Kai stood there in the middle of the street, just blankly staring ahead as if he had been traumatized.

Other lizard's noticed him, and all began to attack him simultaneously, only for each one of them to implode into a bloody mess to instant they reached him. Kai simply closed his eyes, waiting for it to stop.

One lizard attempted to bump into Kai's leg at high speeds. Once it did this, the lizard's own leg broke, leaving it defenseless. Kai just stared down at it.

"I got this one, don't worry."

Sein walked up to the lizard. She opened its mouth in its weakened state and started firing rounds of bullets into its mouth.

"There we go. Wanna head down to the next street. I hear more screaming, so there are probably more lizards there."

"I... I don't want to, but I want to save the innocent people, so... I will."

Sein smiled and started walking with him.

"Listen, I have these grenades. I don't have many so I don't use them, but I upgraded them with Sou so they can destroy souls. I'll use it on the next street so you won't have to get any more blood on you."

"Thank you Sein."

Sein nodded and pulled one of the grenades out of her backpack. Once they arrived at the next street, She threw one at a group of lizards. It exploded, causing them to fall flat to the ground.

Kai was impressed by Sou force and how it really could seemingly do anything.

"Hmm. Surprisingly, I think I took most of them out with that one grenade. I see one more over there though."

Sein through another grenade which landed right next to the lizard, however the lizard swung its tail at the grenade, returning it towards them, and right at Kai's face.

"KAI WATCH OUT!"

However, it was too late. The grenade exploded, and the impact was so grand that it caused Sein to fall to the ground, despite it not even touching her. She coughed at the smoke caused by the grenade.

"KAI!"

Sein looked in fear, waiting for the smoke to clear to see if Kai was alive. She turned over to look at the lizard only to see it dead on the ground.

"No way..."

The smoke cleared to reveal Kai standing up with his eyes widened.

"You... you can reflect attacks that literally destroy souls..."

Kai was just silent. It had happened so fast that he didn't even know what had just happened.

"I'm alive right?"

"Yeah, you are, somehow."

Sein got up and walked up to him to pat him on the back.

"I told you that you were OP."

"Stop it."

"Well you inadvertently stopped an invasion."

"I did most of the work."

Sein wiped the lizard blood that was still on his clothing.

"I guess you did."

"Can we just go back to the hotel now?"

"Sure, but you go ahead. I'm gonna collect the prize money for saving the city."

"You don't even know if there is any."

"There better be."

Kai just turns away and begins walking to the hotel.

"Alright then. See you later Sein."

"See ya!"

Kai returns to his hotel room and takes a shower. When he gets out he puts his favorite red hoodie in the hotel washing machine and waits for it to finish.

After around 30 minutes he returns to his room and puts his hoodie back on and just stares out the window. He was on the 8th floor of a high rise hotel, so he got a good look at the city and all the devastation caused by the lizards.

"Damn this world."

Kai sat on the bed and just looked down. He was still shaken by the blood and guts that had covered his body not too long ago.

"KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK" he heard at his door. He opened the door to see sein holding up cash in her hands with a smug smile.

"I see you got that money."

"Yup. I had to argue a bit at the town hall, but they agreed that saving the city, and not to mention countless lives, was a feat worthy of a reward. And a big one."

"How much?"

"50 billion spao."

"50 BILLION?"

"Yup, maybe we can live in this world from now on. With your ability we have an infinite money glitch."

"Hell no!"

Despite his own objection, the idea was intriguing.

"Don't worry Kai, I'm just kidding. I wanna go home too after all."

Kai nodded. Infinite money would be useful, but this world was so harsh that it didn't matter to him.

"Kai, you seem to really want to go home. You miss your family?"

"I honestly didn't even think about that. I just don't like the idea of being stranded in another world. But yeah, I guess I do miss them."

"I do too."

Kai nodded. He appreciated that Sein was being genuine. For once, she seemed like a real person to him.

Sein stood up and stretched.

"Anyway, I'm gonna go buy that cake you wanted."

"Thanks. I forgot all about that."

"No problem. And I'm also gonna buy tons of cars so I can flex on the poor people of this world for a bit."

Kai took back his previous thoughts about viewing Sein as a person.
