The sound of heavy breathing and footsteps were heard as a mother and her son made their way to the shoreline. The were forced to stop when fire came raining down in front of them. With no escape, they faced their pursuers, a group of men dressed in all white. Some had wands while others carried swords, but one thing was the same, they were shaped like crosses.

"It ends here Marianne Howl. Once we kill you and your son, your demon tribe will officially be extinct." (?)

"Dam you! You couldn't just let us live in peace, could you?" (Marianne)

"We're not going to lie; we would have never found you if it wasn't for your boy. The one night you let your guard down, allowed him to go out and kill some peaceful villagers. We thank you boy." (?)

"Mom..." (Alex)

"Don't listen to him Alex. It's not your fault, now get behind me." (Marianne)

His mother's form started to change, she got larger as her hair grew, covering her whole body. Everyone else readied their weapons but fear still overcame them for she was no normal wolf but rather a beastly creature that stood above them all.

"Bishop..." (??)

"Do not fret. Everyone! Get ready for battle!" (Bishop)

Everything went dark for the boy but once he woke up, he was laying on the ground as the corpse of his mother protected him from being pierced. It was the first time he ever experienced the threat of the people known as the Holy Church and it was also the day, he figured out who he was. His mother made sure of that.

"Mom. ..... Mom..." (Alex)

"Dammit, she really wasn't going down without a fight. Well, your next kid!" (Bishop)

Before he could meet his end, a giant Kraken appeared rampaging on land. Behind this large creature was ship and a blonde hair woman as she came walking on water like it was the ground itself.

"Lord Bishop, It's the Kraken. If that thing is here... Then that means she's also..." (??)

"But... She never interferes with conflicts on land. The Pirate Queen...Elisa Vasquez..." (Bishop)

"How do you do? That boy is coming with me now." (Elisa)

Alex knew nothing about this woman, he figured she was his savior but that turned out to be wrong.

"One day we'll figure out a way to cross the sea! You and your floating kingdom will be destroyed. We'll make sure your cursed family will be the first people to go to hell" (Bishop)

"We'll see." (Elisa)

She called out to the creature, using its tentacles to capture them one by one. They resisted until their last breath, when the bishop cut of a tentacle which proved useless when it instantly regenerated. The color drained from his face, knowing this was the end. Later that day, the boy found himself inside a large ship where they had him confined. Despair felt never ending for him.

"Sorry kid. At the end of the day, you are still a threat. We have to keep you under control. Who knows how many full moons we'll have on our way to our destination." (Elisa)

"and where is that?" (Alex)

"America. Oh right, you're too young to remember the old world ha-ha. My niece will be there to pick you up." (Elisa)

"My mom?" (Alex)

"She'll be buried in my kingdom. I have no doubt we'll meet again, so until then. Save your words for her. I would love to have you as one of my residents, but I don't have the ability to control you. Although I'm sure you'll find a way." (Elisa)

"Why are people afraid of me?" (Alex)

"They refuse to accept that which they don't understand. You're like me in a way. One day you're going to have to confront your inner demon whether that's to control them or be taken control of." (Elisa)

During their time together, he never learned anything about this woman. Just that she was called many things. Queen, demon, Titan killer and so on. When they reached land, she handed him off to her niece.

Nothing was ever said between Alex and Elisa. Not even a goodbye.

"Hello Alex, son of Marianne Howl. My name is Liz." (Liz)

He was speechless. He figured she would just sell him off or kill him as well but that wasn't the case. In fact, his mine drifted away from all those negative thought as his eyes focused in on the girls. The way it glowed many colors as if seeing something that was beyond him.

"What is this place?"

"A prison but I built a facility within it. That's where you'll be staying for the time being." (Liz)

"You wish to control me?" (Alex)

After our encounter, all I ever really experienced were needles, different types of food and darkness. I never saw the sky again; this place truly was a prison. The only peaceful times in my days were when another boy would come and read outside my room. I never spoke to him but for some reason, he knew I was in here and that I was lonely. (Alex)

His days consisted of being in a lab. All he ever saw were people in white lab coats, but they never did anything that inflicted pain on him. In fact, most of his test were done on full moons and they made sure to draw blood during his transformations as well. As he walked the halls he got a glimpse of another room. When he entered it, he was greeted with an unfamiliar site and yet it it didn't bother him. A large room with frozen capsules, big enough to hold a person. The same people who had been doing test on him were working there as well so he figured perhaps there were others like him and the boy. Liz appeared from behind but she didn't yell or panic, just gently placed her hands on his shoulder.

"Don't worry Alex, this is all a means to an end." (Liz)

"Why me?" (Alex)

"I plan on finding a way to tame your power. Although one day, you'll have to find a way to do it yourself." (Liz)

After a few years. He met other children close to his age.

"I'm Jorge. Are you a girl?" (Jorge)

Alex figured he was talking to the mummy but he wasn't, Jorge was looking directly at him.

"Chris. You can ignore the bandages." (Chris)

It was only us. Not once did they ever ask about what I was... Because of that, I never asked them about their problems. They just wanted to be my friends and eventually... I met her. (Alex)

On the other side of the room, Alex approached a girl who stayed away from everyone else.

I never stopped trying to talk to her. Once we escaped the prison. Chris told me to spy on Ivan but I know deep down she knew about me and June. My plan was to watch and eventually escape with June but there was no way to tell her unless I was blunt. (Alex)

"June... Why am I upside down? and why are you dangling my body this high up?" (Alex)

After their escape, Ivan kept changing their location, after a wile, he learned that they weren't really being chased. Were the vampires trying to keep things under wrap? or did they really not care? Either way, changing locations helped them find new spots and staying on the move incase people were hunting them down, like Lisa and Adrian. When night time fail, Alex climbed to the roof of an abandoned building and found June, looking at the moon. Just as he was about to walk up to her, hairs had restrained and lifted him up to the air.

"Because I know your spying on us. Are you working for Chris? Is she a traitor? are you guys?" (June)

She wasn't angry, just worried. Alex never expected her to feel this hurt, as if he was about leaver her all alone.

"No that's not it. She just doesn't trust Ivan.... She thinks he'll go down a dark path." (Alex)

"But he's saving our people. You have to see that!" (June)

I couldn't take her. After our fight with that Raymond guy, Chris left the group for good and I figured Jorge would eventually follow suit. When he does, that would be perfect time but then I remembered. (Alex)

"I'm almost out of medicine and it's going to be a full moon soon... I can feel it." (Alex)

After sometime with Liz, she was able to find a drug that helped cure Alex of his urges. This drug was what allowed him to join the others in the prison. He still felt trapped but relieved to find more friends. One thing before Liz handed him the drug was a word of advise.

She told me this was only temporary but once I feel the power of the moon, my urges will begin to grow. She theorized that the moon gave me power rather than a day for me to transform. Eventually I would get strong enough to fight with out it. (Alex)

"What's that? Have you forgotten that I hold your life in the palm of hands and yet, here you are. Talking to yourself." (June)

"June... I love you. and because I love you... I know I can tell you anything." (Alex)

"You... You confess your love now? When I'm about to drop your body down 6 floors?" (June)

He told her everything. After Alex ran out of the drugs, everyone in New Beginning now knew who he was. The smile on Ivan's face when he realized that Alex could turn the table on nobles and every other blood sucker in the city. Thanks to June and Big-Baldy man (Title given by Jorge), Alex was able to be restrained. HIs next plan was to separate June in order to get Alex to transform and hopefully control this power.

She became my hero. The only one who could calm me down... everything was right in the world until I lost her to vampires. To make things worse, my first real friends helped them. A few months later, I tried to save her. I thought everything would be fine since our plan was to target every prison in the Lost City at once but then... (Alex)

"Because than we can have an army big enough to fight the vampires." (Alex)

Alex ran while holding onto June's arm. The collar around her neck stopped her from using any abilities. Explosions and guns were heard from every direction. He felt everything going smoothly until a boy came descending down in front of them, dressed in all black.
