Outside the city walls lied a large bridge wrapping around trees as it lead towards multiple directions. At the exit of the walls, Selena was seeing off Raymond as he heads out to see their plans for future expansion. The plan wasn't to to extend the city but rather rebuild cities, towns, and villages.

"What! just you? I figured more people would be showing me off.."

"You're only going on a expedition to see how our new expansion is doing. Why would I drag others here for that?"

"I crave attention! Well, Who's going to be escorting me?"

"No thank you! He's just going to nagging at me and talk about how I'm a terrible brother for not bring my niece to see him."

"He's the only one who's free. Gabriel should be joining you guys later."

"Where is he?"

"Sleeping."

"Then forget him! What about Lisa?"

"Julie?"

"I'd rather die."

"We can never, maybe Lisa though... Hey Raymond, was Adrian right?"

While Raymond and Selena talked, they hadn't even realized that Al showed up and just stood there.

"When did you get here?"

"....."

"Just now? Right.. We're heading out Selena!"

"Hey wait! Aren't you going to wait for your daughter? She should be here soon."

"Seriously? Is that why you came?"

"Obviously!"

"Well you're wasting your time, come on lil bro. What? Were you expecting to see her too? Dude, she's long gone."

Raymond's voice got harder to hear as their figures faded away, leaving Selena standing alone.

"Leafa."

"You called my lady?"

"Where is Clarissa?"

"Well I've began allowing people to enter at certain times so the guards aren't overwhelmed."

"Right. For travelers."

"The only other way someone can come in is if I allowed them to enter or.."

"The royal entrance."

The girls stared at each other without saying a word

"...She got here earlier today."

"What?"

"I thought you knew.."

Selena rubbed her temple and let out a long sigh. She stared at the woman in front of her, the color green encompassed her very figure; her hair, dress, and even the leaves growing from the vines that wrapped her body.

"Leafa, why do you only show yourself to me and Liz?"

"I don't understand?"

"No one hates you.. even if it looks like you stole her appearance.. No never mind"

"My lady?"

"Look, stop being shy. Talk to people! Every one wants to meet the great spirit who protects our home."

"Well.."

"It's fine if you don't want to. I'm going to bounce so I can find this brat. Keep an eye out for Raymond. The dead shouldn't be wandering this far north but you never know."

Later that day Chris and Jorge were walking down the street from their home. After leaving the shop, they argued on and on about Jorge hanging out with a suspicious person.

"Look, I'm going! You can't stop me."

"And like I said, gramps told me you shouldn't get involved with her!

Before Chris followed after Jorge, the shopkeeper overheard everything. He told her that if this girl really does have black hair and dark blue eyes then it would be best if they don't get to close or they'll regret it.

"How would he know?"

"He pretty much knows everything! He's.."

"I don't care! So what's your next move? Are you just going to follow me?"

"Just until the city square. I'll say that I'm your cousin and I just wanted to make sure you were safe! Jorge, you haven't exactly explored the city.. Do you at least know your cover story?"

"Umm, we lived on a farm. Blah blah blah, gramps heard about a new city so he sold it.. Oh! and he moved us here earlier then everyone else in order to get first dibs when it came to buildings for his business!"

"Good enough."

Upon arriving to their destination, Jorge stopped. The city square was bigger then he could have ever imagined; food stalls to his right, other variety of venders to his left, and hundreds of people everywhere. At the center of the square was a Large tree with people picnicking, laughing, mingling and even performers while others watched. What caught his attention the most were the tv at the top of the buildings that showed moving pictures.

"What is that? What are those?? Why is there so many people???"

"Those are moving pictures. They're new from the city we supposedly came from so try not to act so surprised. Those over there are vendors selling what ever it is that they're good at. It's the weekend so that explains the people. You always take a different route and we technically don't live nearby."

"That's true."

"I tried to bring you here but you always said no."

"Moving pictures.."

"Yea it's like.. You know what? I don't remember how it works. Gramps knows though. Apparently its different from the old world, they use magic to help fill in some of the missing links."

"Gramps really does know everything."

"Like I've been trying to you, He's an information broker. Although knowing stuff like this is just a hobby of his."

All videos on the tv screens went dark until they began broadcasting live. A woman in a suit held a microphone as greeted everyone on what was happening.

William discussed his city and how they broke into 4 domains. How there used to be 10 royal families that had claims to land expanding way past their city back in the day until one vampire, later known as the Blood King massacred them. He brought the families down to 4, cutting off their connection to the world and forcing people to survive within their walls. Their population declined while the king just decided to shut himself inside his palace and away from the people.

William stuck his fist out and yelled..

In the city square, people cheered while others called bull shit. Some of them felt like he would just be another careless vampire and others said the human in charge was the one really helping this city. It wasn't until minutes later that everyone went silent. The appearance of the nest person shut them all up, her beauty had them curious.

Sopia's hair flickered and revealed a rainbow like color, eventually radiating from her. No one could describe the scene that was unfolding Infront of them.

"Beautiful.."

"Chris?"

Chris's hair also illuminated, almost as if it was in response to Sophia's magic. Jorge called out to her but she wasn't listening, it wasn't until he put his hands over her eyes that she snapped back to reality.

"What are you doing Jorge?"

"Your hair started glowing, luckily no one noticed! You looked out of it."

"Weird.."

"You're weird! Lets get going."

They walked away but someone pushed Jorge onto the ground. When he opened his eyes, a girl was lying on top of him.

"Really dude?"

"You should watch where you're going idiot!"

"You bumped into me! You're the idiot who came running from nowhere!"

"Yea, what ever"

"You son of a.."

The girl turned around and stuck her fist out. Chris sighed and offered to help the girl up but she refused, saying she doesn't touch commoners. She touched her neck to make sure she didn't lose something important.

"Wow, a jerk and she's spoiled. Don't bother Chris."

"Selena, I'm not really cut out for baby sitting."

"Sorry. I swear this wasn't the plan. We'll find her and then meet up with the boy I told you about."

"The criminal?"

"Julie, I'm telling you, he's different."

Julie and Selena were standing on the roof of a nearby building as they looked down upon the city square.

"I never liked the city in your domain. Its too modern for me. Wait, don't you have like Queen duties to do?"

"Lisa is helping me out with that. It's called a summer job."

"How'd you pull that off?"

"I let her turn her friends. I also said that I would call the moment I ran into people from NB."

"Corny as always. I figured Lisa has a good eye for people. Her friends looked nice and it's better to choose a friend you can trust rather than turning some kiss ass with money into a vampire."

"I think Liz might have been overseeing him. Raymond ran into him and a girl. We believe they can still become good people."

"I don't trust Liz and I hate Raymond. I do trust you though. What if he leads us to the leader?"

Not only did they find Jorge but they noticed Chris and her glowing hair. Julie closed her eyes and nodded

"Selena... What is going on?"

"I figured she'd come.. Please.. please treat this as TOP SECRET!"

"Dam Selena! If William finds out that another one is here.. "

"I.. I need a drink."

"After we hang out with them.. drinks on me!

Chris was annoyed because anything that involved Jorge would escalate and just cause problems for her and the people around.

2 girls came walking as they cut in after Chris.

"Auntie Julie... Aunt Selena.."

The color in the girls face was drained when she heard Selena and felt Julie put her arm around her neck.

"Hey Selena, do you remember Clarissa being this big?"

"No, but she's still sneaky as ever."

"How did you find me..?"

"Took a lot of walking. Hey Jorge, who's that with you?"

"Hi Selenaaa~"

Everyone stood there in awkward silence.

"I'm Chris."

"Right! She's my cousin! Selena, you know this punk? and your friend... What's going on?"

"This is my friend Julie."

"I'm taken."

"...And this kid is the daughter of a friend,"

"Oh." "Your friend Julie.. is she a vampire?"

"Chris!"

Selena smiled with no clue of what was going on but Julie knew. Her best friend was brilliant but when it came to her own feelings or that of the opposite sex, she was cluesless.

"Alright, this is getting weird. Selena, Where are we taking these three?"

"I was thinking we try these food stalls, go to the park, and eat some Ice cream!"

Both Jorge and Clarissa were no longer fighting, they sobbed at the delicious flavors from the foods they ate.

"This place is so diverse, there's actually food here that I've never seen! Not even in the Fronter."

"Yea! What is that? and that?"

"They're called tamales and those are calzones, right?"

The owner was impressed that Selena was so knowledgeable. He explained how his family passed down their recipe from the old world, he eventually met his wife who also had her own recipe that was passed from generation to generation. Over time, they became rivals and opened up a restaurant. Love came next and now they have a family of three.

"A family..."

"You ok Jorge?"

Jorge smiled at Chris and nodded. Pumping him self back up, he decided to try the food in front of him. Clarissa saw it and ordered the same thing which lead Jorge to complained and they began arguing all over again.

Their next adventure took them to a place known as The Park. It was designed to be an amusement park outside with a large shopping mall right next to it. They had never seen such a thing in their lives, they had seen the signs and buildings from a distance but never got too close. Since they had escaped the prison, they made sure to avoid over crowed places.

"I don't know where to begin? Chris, you got any ideas?"

"Well..." "Oooh there's a pet store!"

"What's that?"

Chris chuckled when she saw them run off.

"They stopped fighting. Again."

"Yea, its almost like they're the same person! Haha!"

"They're both weirdo's."

Chris turned to Selena and Julie so she could thank them.

"What for?"

"Julie! Sorry Chris, what she means to say is that there's no need to thank us!"

"It may not feel like much but it is. Jorge has always shut himself out from everyone... Since before we moved here I mean. Jorge doesn't hate anyone but he feels like they hate him. I haven't seen him smile like that since the three of us were together."

"Three of us?"

"Our friend Alex. He moved here to.. You see, we're a trio but I left him alone with some bad people. Now he's slowly swaying to their side.. We need to save him before it's to late."

"I see."

"You humans are so sensitive."

Julie looked down To find a cat rubbing its self on her leg

"Don't even think it! you have enough cats!"

"She clearly wants to come home with me. You fool."

Chris didn't understand what the problem was.

"Julie has almost every Feline at her estate. It's practically a zoo."

Selena dragged her out of there, figuring anymore time in a pet store would only end with baby sitting animals. They visited clothing stores, forced Chris onto a dress since everything she wore was to boyish. She didn't hate wearing it, its just that everything the old man made and sold weren't for women. The same went for Jorge, he wasn't a fan of the clothes. He was just used to wearing pants and a tucked in button up shirt. He left without purchasing anything and yet got stuck carrying all their bags.

"Jorge, you're the best cousin ever."

"I hate you and that dress looks weird.. but you do look good in blue."

"Was that suppose to be a compliment ?"

"Clarissa, I've never stopped hating you.. Can we just go on the rides now?"

"Of course! That's where we're headed. Wait, do you hate me too?"

"I could never!"

They all laughed while Jorge's face got beat red. Selena and Julie left to get Ice cream while the others went on all the rides. In between each ride, Jorge and Clarissa stuffed their face with food which caused them to rush to the nearest restroom which was inside a gift shop.

"Clarissa, I almost barfed all over the floor!"

"What can I say? Ladies first."

"You!" "Everyone get down on the floor!"

During their usual bickering, a middle aged man wearing a ski masked barged into the store with a gun. It was just a plain old robbery but the man still continued to scan the civilian within the shop. Clarissa looked at him threw the shelves with a confuse face while Jorge thought about how to deal with the situation. Chris's voice echoed in his head.

Don't use your abilities in public!

"What terrible luck!

"Jorge.. Something is off with this guy. His aura has no color."

"Aura?"

"It's hard to explain.."

He scoffed her random remark and explained how they were going to save the day. Clarissa will distract the man by throwing random things while Jorge sneaks in, tackles, and kicks his ass. Everything was going well until Jorge tripped and missed, the guy got pissed and pistol whipped him. Clarissa decided to improvise, she succeeded in tackling him.

"I can't believe that worked!"

"Nice! don't let him go! I'll knock him out."

By the time the authorities arrived, they found them on the ground. One was unconscious and the other two laid on top him, laughing. Clarissa suddenly got serious and apologized to Jorge for how she acted when they first met.

"All my life, I've had bad experiences with people... Growing up, I've never had friends."

"Well that attitude doesn't help. Just be a little nicer and say hi"

"I've tried and it proved useless. If they're not afraid of me, then they hate me. My dad thought that me going to school here would be beneficial for me."

"So, like no friends?"

"Well if I make one, then my teacher said he would be my friend.. I already see him as one so hopefully he's still alive."

"Alive?"

"Yea, he's set to be executed.."

"Ok.. I can see how that would just make zero again but I'm sorry too! I don't really hate you."

"Really!? I mean, really?"

"Yea and I'll be your friend. I'm sure Chris would be too.. Just make sure you apologize to her."

"Really?! I mean, if you want.. You don't really know me."

"We'll get to know each other. Come on, get up."

She noticed a necklace was on the ground and panicked

Extending his hand made Clarissa pull back but he grabbed her anyways. The moment they made contact, her knees got weak and she couldn't get up.

"You.. You shouldn't have done that."

"What's up?"

Clarissa placed her left hand on her neck.

"I had a necklace under my clothes. I needed it in order to block my abilities.."

"Abilities?"

"I can see peoples past when they touch me. I can sense they're aura as well, If they're bad or good."

"I know you escaped that prison.. but I also know you're a good person Jorge."

"Clarissa, you can't tell anybody."

"You don't get it Jorge. I saw your memories. Only some of it though. It ended with you in bandages, the rest was just pitch black. Green eyes were staring back at me.. What was I thinking? Friends?"

"Hey, It's alright.."

"Of course you don't know. Raymond is my dad."

"That monster is.."

"He's not like that!"

Jorge's look showed fear, she knew it all to well. He took off with tears running down his face, Chris happened to arrive and ran after him."

"Sorry kiddo."

Selena and Julie appeared as well.

"You guys knew?"

"Duh. Did you really think you could be his friend?"

"Julie!"

"What? They're lives are like worlds apart. I'm just keeping it real."

"It's alright auntie. Can I have the key to your place? I want to go home."

Selena and Julie left to get drinks after watching Clarissa leave. Walking home alone, she thought about what the boy she called teacher told her. How honesty was the best policy.

"But teacher.. He hates me"

"You're right! I'll explain everything! Yes, I'm sure he'll understand!"

"Don't speak, just follow me vampire girl."

She couldn't understand what was happening. A purple smoke passed by and made her vision go dark. Her body couldn't move and when it did, it wasn't because she wanted it to. Clarissa obediently walked into an ally, escaping everyone's sight.
