Chapter 64: Ideologies

The nurse continued to scream at me for a couple of minutes until he was out of breath. His desk was ruined as well, the poor thing was taking a beating from him the entire time.

I was completely silent and didn't know what to say to him, his tantrum really threw me off.

"Ugh sir I got hurt at work...." I told the man the truth and wanted to see his reaction to it.

The man looked at me and stopped fixing his desk, his face was a real dark blue now instead of the prior light blue.

"Work?"

"Yes sir, it wasn't a school fight."

There was a long silence, the nurse simply stared at me while his skin was starting to return to its natural color.

"What's the name of the place you work at?"

"Collectors Dream."

"Wait you work for Loki? I can't believe that lonely guy actually hired someone. Alright then start taking your clothes off so I can heal the wounds."

I got off the bed then started taking off my clothes leaving me with only my underwear on. I really started to dislike how many times I undressed in front of others.

The man walked over to me then put his hand on one the burn marks. The contact caused the pain to spike, but soon I felt it suddenly vanish. I looked at the mark and it was already gone.

The nurse repeated this process until all of the wounds were gone, I was no longer in any pain.

"Alright I'm all done now, you can get dressed and leave. I will see you tomorrow."

"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow probably.... sorry." I said while I was putting my clothes back on.

"It's alright, I know how dangerous that job is since I'm Loki's personal doctor. Just try not lose any limbs and if you do try to bring it back in decent condition."

Hearing his last sentence really didn't sit well with me, but at least I knew he was capable of doing that. After I finished putting on my clothes on, I left the room to see Lucy waiting for me.

"What was that guy's problem? He was so rude to me for no reason!" She still looked to be upset at the nurse's comments, luckily it seemed she didn't hear him call her a bitch.

"I think he had a long day..." Was all I could really say to excuse his behavior.

"Yeah well what if I also had a long day, would that give me the right to scream at him? No it wouldn't, that behavior of his needs to be checked."

I did agree with her, but after I told him where I worked the guy was nice to me, so I didn't really care.

"Well did he at least manage to heal all of your wounds? If he didn't one of my friends is a good healer that would be willing to help."

"He healed all of them, I'm just tired now so you can go back to your friends now."

"Well that's good, but I want to have a conversation with you in private. I think it's time for you and me to talk about what happened that day..."

Lucy's attitude seemed to hit a switch as her real intentions toward me had started to reveal themselves. I felt a small proportion of her bloodlust start to show, I knew these were her true feelings.

"You say talk, but I can feel your bloodlust princess."

We were still near the nurse's room and I was able to sense knights close by. This allowed me to be a little bolder and more honest with my words.

"How could I not resent you a little? You killed an Elf in front of my own very eyes. You call me a princess yet have no idea the responsibilities that go along with it."

"Then what's there to talk about, I already stated my reasons so what more do you want. You know we disagree on ideologies, whatever you say won't change that."

"You're wrong, anything is possible and I wish to understand your actions more. I must know everything before I go through with my own future actions."

"You know what fine, we can talk but it'll be under my rules. If you don't want to do that then this is over." I laid down a line for her, I decided to settle this now so it couldn't bother me in the future.

"What are your rules then?"

"The first is you can't attack me at all during or after the conversation. The second is you will leave me alone after you get what you want. The final rule is working towards mending relations between the Elves and humans no matter the outcome of our own personal dispute."

Lucy paused and looked to be thinking over the rules I stated. Tensions were high as I felt the fear in me slowly start to grow.

"We have a deal, now follow me, we will be talking in my room."

These were only verbal terms meaning if she really wished she could break them, but it was better than nothing. My mana and Ki had recovered as well, I had the capability to run away if I needed to.

We walked through the campus and arrived at the Elves dorms. The campus was empty with only knights making their rounds.

Lucy led me through the dorm and we arrived at her room which was on the 5th floor. We walked inside and I had looked around to see it had the same interior as my own room.

I took a seat at the table and she sat across from me, both of us were staring at each other to see who would lead this conversation.

"I want you to be honest with your answers, there's no need to hold back during the conversation. Now then, why did you kill that man?" Lucy took the lead and asked the same stupid question when we first met.

"As I said, he was a threat. No Elf should be on human soil, that is against the law and your leaders know this. I don't care if he didn't attack me first, the fact is he shouldn't have been there in the first place. The same goes for you as well princess, tell me did your father know of your trip."

"You keep saying he was a threat, but you are not saying why he was. Also you humans need to be watched after all the stunts you pulled. Your race is dangerous, we can't afford another repeat of what happened so many years ago. Also, I don't see what my father has to do with this conversation, why does his knowledge of where I'm going matter?"

Her bloodlust was increasing slowly, her eyes also never left my own. I could tell her vision was starting to tunnel in on me.

"Just as you said, his mere presence was a threat just as you deem humans a threat. No other major race besides yours send their people to spy on us. Your actions show that you want another war, you keep pushing your limits with us. Your father who is a king would never allow a princess to step foot on enemy land and you know this. Notice how I say enemy land, this is why I brought him up."

"No! He wasn't a threat just because he was near you, I know there was an ulterior motive behind it so just tell me! Tell me honestly do you hate us? Do you hold a grudge against us perhaps? Your emotions, right now they are screaming at me. Never in my life have I seen someone with so much rage and hatred, so please just please tell me the truth..."

"There was no damn ulterior motive, I deemed him a threat and killed him that's literally all that fucking happened. I don't hate your fucking race either, I hate individuals from certain races. Just like I hate your stupid fucking brother, I also hate some fucking humans. This wasn't some grand operation; your people were somewhere they shouldn't be and felt the consequences. That's all there is to it."

The fear I had was starting to fade as my anger was starting to take control. I started to lose control of my words leading me to curse profusely at Lucy.

I couldn't help it though, to me she is just an idiot that was brainwashed by her father. A King, someone who leads and also misleads his people to ensure their loyalty.

An idiot who couldn't see the real world, she only viewed it from her own perspective like a child. My people this, my people that, never once did she talk about what her race did.

Both races were wrong with what they did, both humans and Elves. The fact that she couldn't see this simple fact showed how brainwashed she was.
