All the first-year students walked down to the base on Dragon's Tower wearing their uniforms. Those in the Dragon Class wore red which meant a white shirt, red blazer, red pants or skirt, and black boots. This didn't stop some of the students from adding accessories to stand out, however.
Prof. Black looked over all the students but noticed that one was missing.
'Draco,' she said his name and mentally frowned. Although the welcome ceremony was not mandatory, most students wouldn't miss it, including the seniors. It was the best time to make connections
Even though she noticed that he was missing, she didn't send anyone to get him. While she wouldn't be as strict with him, Prof. Black also wasn't planning on bending over backward for Jason. The only reason she interfered on the ship was because Prof. Edwards was in the wrong during the encounter.
"Since you have all arrived, let's go," Prof. Black flicked the sleeve of her dress and proceeded to lead the students out of the tower. Several of the other professors also noticed that Jason was missing but they didn't say anything when they saw that the head professor said nothing.
Prof. Black led the students through the halls of the school while introducing them to the different areas.
The tour ended once the group got to the cafeteria. Inside, they saw a massive room that was far too large to be the real size. Including the students that had just arrived, the school had about 2,000 students from year 1-8.
The 1st-years from the Dragon Class noticed the senior students were wearing red, blue, and yellow uniforms. Each uniform showed which class a person was in.
The Dragon Class wore red uniforms and they were the main combat class. All the students in it focused on cultivation and wanted to improve their strength. The class was composed of 50/50 between nobles and commoners.
The Sphinx Class wore yellow uniforms, though its members called it gold. Those in this class were the ones who would inherit noble titles or be married into noble houses. Their class focused on learning diplomacy, governing, and house management.
The last class was the Unicorn Class who wore blue uniforms. Most of these students were commoners while very few were nobles. Those in this class wanted to learn professional skills. These ranged from blacksmiths and merchants to doctors and enchanters.
Once they arrived, the first years began to flock out or gather with their roommates. Those who met with seniors mostly met their older siblings or close family friends. Few of the 1st-years dared to meet with their seniors so easily.

When the students spread out, word about what happened with Jason and Adrien a couple of hours ago also spread. Within 30 minutes, most of the school knew that the Draco heir and son of the Hummingfield family did not get along. Dozens of people made mental notes to write to their families and remind them not to interact with the Hummingfield family too often or at least publicly.
The price of going against the Draco Clan was too great for smaller families to afford.
At one table, in particular, several Year 4 and Year 5 students were listening to a Year 1 demon girl telling her older sister about the situation. When they heard the story, the girl's older brother began to bang the table and laugh.
"Hahaha! Of course, that bastard would do something like that," he said after recovering before going into another fit of laughter. The teen had on a red uniform and pale skin that all demons had. His hair was black with a small portion of it dyed red.
"Jason has never been one for subtlety. All or nothing with him," another young man in a blue uniform commented. His brown hair was neatly combed and braided into a small ponytail. He had a gentle demeanor to him that made him seem very approachable.
"Is he as reasonable as you say big brother?" the girl asked. "He already got into a conflict with another student and a teacher. Plus, he's missing out on the welcome party and a chance to make connections."
"Reasonable? No," the older demon shook his head. "You can describe the members of the Draco Clan with a million words but not a single one would be reasonable. Especially, Jason."
The girl nodded. She could easily believe that from the way that Jason did not even pay respect to the teachers.
"I still remember the day that he declared us as his friends," the gentle-looking senior said.
"'You're my people, now! Make sure you don't let anyone bully you and bring shame to me!'" the pair said simultaneously, laughing as they remembered the kid who looked around 10 telling the pair that when they were 11 and 12 respectively. He was 3 or 4 years their junior but spoke so haughty and with such a cold tone that it was unbelievable as they looked back on it.
"That's how he asked you both to be friends?" one of the senior girls at the table asked. She had elf ears and was wearing a yellow uniform.
"He's a Draco. He doesn't ask for anything. He simply declares things and expects them to be so," the demon senior replied
"We had already considered him a friend since we met so often but that declaration is how we knew that he truly valued us as friends," the gentle-looking senior defended Jason's words. Having known him since he was 5, he knew that Jason was mostly harmless unless one got on his bad side.
"How much do you wanna bet that he ditches the welcome party, Adam?" the demon asked
"He probably fell asleep or got caught up cultivating," Adam knew that Jason wouldn't miss out on a chance to see them after over half a year of not seeing one another. "How about we bet the usual, Cassiel? Plus, the loser has to tell him about that person."
"Deal," Cassiel agreed. "Jason hates parties. He will definitely ditch if he has the chance."
The others at the table looked at the pair in amazement. Most wouldn't want to speak of a Draco behind their back but these two were actually betting on one. They had to either be great friends like they claimed or fools.
