Lucy was in the library. She'd been given access to the cultivation manuals room. She was required to pick out an Ice-based method that would be useful to her. She'd brought Gary along for luck, and he was just as excited as she was. Since he was a cat nobody could stop him from knocking down a method and reading. Now if only he understood what his affinity reading even meant. It seemed to him that whatever his affinity was, it was beyond his mortal understanding. He'd get to the bottom of that mystery eventually, but not today. He decided that starting over with a method other than the one his father gave him was a better idea for a cat body. Lucy had found herself a method called the static mind. It was a special ice-attribute method that eventually allowed one to be immune to mind control effects, while also giving them better control over their ice-based abilities.. Gary discovered an attributeless method known as:

The Nimble Feline's Mantra

A degenerated version of a space-affinity method that would allow one to lower the effect of gravity on the body. Rumor has it that an immortal once practiced this technique to its peak, and fell off the face of the universe. True story. Extremely popular among assassins, and ne'er do wells of all stripes.

Needless to say. It was the purrfect technique for Gary. Lucy sat down on the floor, and spent a long while memorizing her cultivation book. After she was done she saw Gary closing his cultivation book. If she didn't know any better she would have thought he was reading it. SHe picked him up, and excitedly walked back to her room to practice.

The royal academy was brutal. Lucy thought to herself. She had barely had any time to sleep let alone practice with all of the homework, and studying she was forced to do for all of her classes. The little down time she had was spent talking to her friends, as to not be driven to the point of insanity. Fortunately the school was having a break soon, and she would not only be able to catch up on sleep, but also have time to cultivate. A whole two weeks to themselves, if only they didn't have projects to complete as well. Alas nothing is perfect. Gary had yet to successfully find all of his channels. It was taking him longer than he expected. Mostly because it hurt a lot, and he didn't really like doing it, but he needed to if he wanted to survive. He could feel it now, the need to live. He hadn't had it before the ritual Lucy had performed on him. If not for himself than for her sake.

Lucy and her friend Joseph, an elf, were walking on their way to meet with their other friends when they were accosted by the three girls, and Fritz, a half celestial in the A-class. His halo was blinding.

"Well well if it isn't knife-ears, and sideshow. Careful Joe you're girlfriend here might be a bit of a rose with no petals if you know what I mean." Fritz Jabbed

"What the fuck did you just say you fucking fairy?" Growled Joseph

"Whoa man that's a little bigoted don't you think. Anyways I'm just warning you she might've already ridden the carrousel a few too many times." retorted Fritz. "Anyways I have real people to talk to later freaks!" The girls laughed as they were walking away.

Joseph raised up his fist, but was grabbed by Lucy. She started to lead him away. "Forget it you know how mutts are. They're always compensating for something." Lucy said loud enough for Fritz to hear.

He turned around and yelled. "What did you just call me you fucking freak? Why Don't you come over here and say that to my face."

Gary had had enough of this. He jumped down from Lucy's head, and began hissing at the group.

Fritz backed off. He couldn't fight back against a beast yet. "You filth better watch yourselves, and Joe find better friends than those sub humans." He said as he walked away.

"I hate that guy. Did you see how scared he was when he ran away with his tail tucked between his legs." Lucy said, stroking Gary in her arms.

"Fucking prick. Where does he get the nerve to talk like that. Ought to rip his fucking dick off." Cursed Joseph.

"Dude, you do curse alot." replied Lucy

"Yea whatever. If I wanted to talk like a bitch, I'd hang out with the other elves. Ah, I mean not a girl bitch I meant like a dog bitch." said joseph.

Lucy laughed "Yea, I get it."

"Still we have to watch out. Those fucks will learn how to use magic soon, and then they'll never leave us alone." Joseph stated.

"Well then we'll just have to learn magic better than they do." Replied Lucy

"Yea, ok sure." Scoffed Joseph.

The two decided to forget the incident and go about their day. Gary went back to his home on Lucy's head, and fell back to sleep. He would have to do something soon. The bullying incidents were getting more frequent. For now he was focused on his cultivation.
