"YOUNG MASTER, was Lawyer Ryou Hisa able to attend to you? I had tried to hurry when I received your call late in the afternoon." Feng Mian's personal butler politely said.

"En. Good work."

It was already halfway through the week, and she already encountered some minor troubles. After briefly thinking of her next course of actions, she immediately grabbed her silver laptop, tapping the built-in keyboard away throughout the night. Money, money, she badly wanted more money!

When the sun had risen, only then did Feng Mian stop her work. She stretched her limbs and fished out for her phone. "Morning Mr Hisa. Can we meet at Loyal Dogs at 8AM today?"

After their brief arrangement, Feng Mian took a shower and went down for breakfast.

"Pardon me, young master."

"Hm?" Feng Mian did not bother to lift her head up from the news she was reading on her tablet as she continued eating from her plate.

"Forgive me for being presumptuous but, I would like to advise you to get an adequate rest. Please do not harm yourself."

Feng Mian paused for a moment as warmth crept into her frozen heart, although not enough to thaw the ice. She put down her tablet, set down her spoon and fork, which only made the butler nervous.

"What was your name again?"

The butler was heartbroken at her innocent query, but he replied promptly. "I am called Ellar Fin, young master. Pleased to be of your service."

Feng Mian bobbed her head, flashing a rare smile to Ellar. "The pleasure is mine, Mr Fin. Forgive my rudeness, and thank you for your kind reminder. Your words are wise, and it is only right I should obey."

Ellar Fin was comforted by his young master's words, and especially so by the visible change of attitude. He had thought that his young master wouldn't be able to open to others anymore after his biological father's attempted murder. He could only imagine how heartbroken the young master must have been, which also made him feel sadder.

Fortunately, aside from him, everyone else was gone, except for the rest of the family members of Zhao. He could only hope nothing else would trouble his young master...

Feng Mian finished her morning routine and left with her chauffeur. As she was seated in the backseat, she did not waste her time and did more investments on her silver laptop. Only the key tapping of the keyboard could be heard in the silence of the car. From time to time, the chauffeur would look back only to see a beautiful demon concentrated at work. Oh how admirable his young master so!

When Feng Mian arrived, Ryou Hisa and two youngsters were already waiting for her. She only acknowledged the former however, making the two youngsters feel depressed.

"Young Master Zhao? These are the children you saved yesterday. They wanted to thank you." Informed Ryou Hisa, although he felt hesitant, he just couldn't leave the youngsters looking so down.

Feng Mian turned her head, briefly scanning the two teenagers with her frost-cold eyes.

Ryou Hisa pushed the youngsters forward, encouraging them to express themselves.

In stutter, one of them shyly begun to say, "G-good... morning... T-thank-k.. y-you... ve-- vewy mu-- --" She bit her tongue after twisting a word, but her friend was there for a reason.

"We're really grateful to you. Thank you for saving our lives, and even the orphanage... If you need help, we'd do our best to fulfill whatever it is you need, or even want!"

The youngsters looked up at Feng Mian with their sparking puppy eyes, looking very expectant. But contrary to everyone's expectation, Feng Mian only said, "What is the name of your orphanage?"

"I-It's the.. Sunshine Orphanage...." The shy teen answered, her limpid eyes darted from Feng Mian's eyes to her own feet, pink tinged her cheeks.

For a moment, Ryou Hisa suspected something was suspicious of the shy girl's reactions as it was apparent she was the one who took most of the beating and even courageously defended her friend from the assaults. Was this her normal self?

"Got it. I'll make a proper visit this afternoon." Promptly said, Feng Mian turned around while calling for several services. Ryou Hisa waved to the youngsters goodbye before hastily following Feng Mian from behind.

Hence, for the whole morning, Feng Mian and Ryou Hisa were both busy with taking care of Loyal Dogs. From calling for builders to tackle and destroy useless rooms and rebuilding more useful areas with minimalist modern interior design, to contacting HR for 10 workers, which would be grouped by 2. These lot will be responsible for collecting debts after undergoing 3-days of intensive training concerning the new policy and appropriate attitude at work, or with work.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

Feng Mian having worked out all the planning all night long, had everything rewarded with efficiency. All areas that needed improvement were perfected. By the time she put down her pen, it was already noon.

She ordered a luncheon for everyone except for herself. After sipping a couple cups of tea, she left the Loyal Dogs building swiftly.

She already learnt the address of Sunshine Orphanage, and along the way, she bought a couple boxes of fresh steamed buns from a side-stall. She ate one as she walked the paved walkway.

Her footsteps faltered when she reached the Sunshine Orphanage and was merely a few steps away. The shy youth was already waiting for her at the door, and when her eyes met Feng Mian's, she smiled bashfully as her limpid eyes brightened with glee.

Feng Mian's heart jolted due to seeing her wear a genuine expression with no hidden agenda at all; merely happy to see her...

Feng Mian continued her leisure strides, revealing a gentle expression on her face for a change. She rubbed the girl's head whose height only reached up to Feng Mian's nose. She could somehow see an imaginary tail wagging from side to side energetically.

"What's your name?" Feng Mian suddenly asked.

"D-d-dean..." She bashfully said, wrinkling her T-shirt as she continued pinching and pulling it because of her nervousness. Ever since yesterday, her heart couldn't take the sight of Young Master Zhao.

"Dee Dee Dean? Fancy name."

Hearing this, Dean bit her lower lip while pouting. Her feet shifted before stuttering once again. "I-It's... D-dean!!"

"Now, it's longer. Eeets Dee Dean. Gracious. Whoever named you was not merciful at all."

Dean's left cheek bloated as she continued to pout, her cheeks flushed in utter embarrassment and frustration. Her doe eyes were threatening to have a leak. Seeing this, Feng Mian shrugged with an almost indiscernible smile. "Alright Dean. Lead the way to your mother."

As if the sun blessed her face with blinding light, Dean smiled widely and nodded her head adorably. Turning around, she walked Feng Mian around the orphanage.

On the walls, childish drawings could be seen painted with crayons. While the surroundings was decorated simply, enough for children to run about without fear of accidents or stabbed by pointy edges.

The wooden floor creaked at their every step until Dean opened a skyblue colored door, revealing a woman in her early 50's with a pleasantly surprised face.

"My... You must be Young Master Zhao who saved my Dean and Lin. Thank you very much.." She stood up from her comfortable seat and offered her hand to Feng Mian, which the latter took good-naturedly. The woman left a good impression on Feng Mian.

"Little Dean, could you get our hero a glass of juice from the fridge, please?" At her request, Dean bobbed her head in assent and ran off to complete the task dutifully.

Once the door was closed, Feng Mian formally introduced herself. "I'm Feng Mian Zhao, and I wish to use your Sunshine Orphanage as a stepping stone to improving my reputation."

The woman was surprised by Feng Mian's straightforwardness that was as straight as a shot arrow. She took her time to think, then said, "Do you mean... You wish to donate money as charity to our small orphanage? Wouldn't it be beneath you, Young Master Zhao?"

"Not at all. Whether it's another orphanage or an organization focused on gathering donations to be given away to other orphanages, it's all the same to me. Hence, shall we work on our partnership?"

The woman was still a bit lost by the sudden fortune that fell on her lap. Which crazy person would normally waste money for charity at a young age? And pouring it on an orphanage that's barely keeping itself together?

"T-that..."

"Does everyone in your orphanage stutter? Should I refer a doctor?"

The woman immediately shook her head like a rattle drum, her wizened eyes bulged. "Please, Young Master Zhao, that's a misunderstanding. In fact, nobody's a stutterer in this orphanage."

Feng Mian was about to refute, but thought otherwise. Dean might indeed just be very shy. "I understand."

"Uhm.. How do we arrange your donation, Young Master Zhao?" She tentatively asked.

Before Feng Mian could share her plan, the door opened to welcome Dean with a tray of drinks and snacks. Her eyes immediately darted to Feng Mian, then onto the floor, another wave of flush on her cheeks. When the woman noticed Dean's reaction, she frowned a little, as if troubled by the conclusion she arrived at.

"Thank you, little Dean. Now, you can find a seat for yourself. Do you mind, Young Master Zhao?"

"No. In fact, having her around might prove helpful. Thank you for the drink, Dee Dean."

Hearing Feng Mian make fun of her name again, Dean pouted looking like a hamster filled with nuts. Feng Mian found her reactions very cute, the corners of her lips raised a little.

Unable to refute Feng Mian any longer, Dean could only puff. She meekly sat herself a little closer to Feng Mian. She saw Feng Mian grabbed for a glass of juice and drunk from it, then she realized there was no Adam's apple, or maybe it could just not be easily discerned. Still, Dean continued to stare.

"I wish for the children here to have a future, so I'll donate some money enough for them to get their general education. It's up to you how you encourage them."

As if the woman was not shock enough by Feng Mian's appearance today, another happy bomb exploded on her face once again. "... That is too generous of you, Young Master Zhao! How can Sunshine Orphanage take advantage of your money...!"

"It's because it's my money that I'll spend it as I see fit. Get the children educated." Feng Mian sipped another mouthful of juice after saying her piece.

"Then... we are very thankful to your magnanimity, Young Master Zhao..." The woman was almost falling onto the floor with how bent her back had become, trying to bow down her head so much because of Feng Mian. She was very grateful even with this much as whenever she saw the children, she felt her heart ache at their missed opportunities to improve their lives. With a diploma from accomplishing Gen. Education, they'll have more chances to get a job or get adopted. She almost cried at such wonderful thoughts, sniffing the tingle on reddened nose.

Dean looked at her matron and onto Feng Mian. Her eyes glossed with so much emotion, being restrained within. Her cherry lips quivered with the fireworks in her chest, it felt so painful it could suffocate her. Although she tried to stay calm and not react too much, her burst of joy could be seen with her tightly clenched hands resting on her knees. She had always wanted to go to school.

"You are welcome. I'll also donate a portion of money to establish a better facility for the children, so they can be groomed properly. I'll give you the location later. Shall we complete the transaction now?"

"Yes! Yes, please!" Right away, the woman grabbed some files to honor Feng Mian as Sunshine Orphanage's benefactor, exchanging necessary information and completing the paperwork. By the end of it all, the woman was clutching her chest and heaving so hard. She was much too excited and bewildered.

Feng Mian offered her a glass of juice. "Don't send yourself to the hospital just yet..."

"Pfft! Hehe..."

Feng Mian turned to gaze at Dean's flushed face as the latter giggled, revealing a set of dimples. For a moment, Feng Mian wanted time to stop, or have someone take a picture of the adorable little thing. Unconsciously, she gave Dean the sweetest smile.

Now, it was Dean's turn to freeze. Even forgetting to blink.
