Sahn gasped awake and jumped up and instinctively took his fighting stance, he looked around and saw Kasella lying unconscious on the floor beside him and Thuren sitting upright sleeping with perfect posture across from him. But they looked wrong, Sahn noticed, the whole room looked wrong to him. It appeared as if the room was washed in a violet hue, his friends were outlined in a lilac glow. He rubbed his eyes and took a step back, he stopped when his foot knocked into something. He turned and looked down to see himself lying unconscious on the ground. He tried to express his confusion with words but he couldn't produce any sound, instead his unconscious body spoke for him "What the fuck!" But even then the words sounded garbled like he was submerged in water. He kneeled down and attempted to shake his body awake but when his ethereal body made contact with his physical one, a more substantial connection was established and he found himself back as one with his physical self. But after being reacquainted with his full self he realized he was still in the hazed version of the room. The difference now was that he could feel the faint vibration of the not-air around him. He noticed he didn't need to breathe nor did anything happen when he tried. Sounds no longer sounded garbled, instead they echoed faintly. "What is this?" He asked out loud. When he did speak he noticed his voice pushed the minute vibrations suspended in the not-air. Thuren's lilac glow dimmed slightly and this caught Sahn's attention. Thuren opened his eyes and stared blankly at nothing for a moment before he noticed Kasella unconscious. Sahn called out to him but to no avail. Thuren made his way over to Kasella and kneeled next to her. Sahn tried to get his friend's attention by placing his hand on Thuren's shoulder. Startled, Thuren quickly turned but saw no one, he scanned the room quickly before turning his attention back to Kasella. He placed his hand over her face and a black mist poured over her body. Sahn had never been the smartest person but his instincts were unrivaled. He felt that what he was seeing was wrong so he relaxed, took a deep breath, and remembered what the real world felt like. The sensation was that of being in a box of water and it suddenly being drained. Sahn was back on the physical plane and his sudden re-emergence back into Thuren's perception startled the prince, then the black mist hardened into a black spike that Thuren thrust towards Sahn's neck. Sahn didn't flinch. "What were you doing to her?" An uncharacteristic seriousness was sewn into Sahn's tone. The spike stopped inches away from Sahn's neck when Thuren realized who it was. "I was trying to wake her up." Thuren explained, but Sahn didn't believe him. "Hey Ella, wake up." Sahn said gently, shaking her. Kasella suddenly sat up. "There's a tower in the desert, we need to go!" The two boys looked confused at each other. "Now!" She screamed.
