Thuren Bahn stood atop his palace and watched his kingdom burn. "Something isn't right. The Queen's campaign should not be this successful." "I sense...others." Suma replied. "What do you mean others?" He asked. "Later, something familiar is here." Thuren turned around to find Queen Xochi standing there. "Welcome!" Thuren greeted with his arms wide. Xochi's speed caught him off guard as she sliced off his right arm and then slashed at his neck but he jumped away. Xochi's assault didn't stop, she lunged again, slashing his chest. "Give me control." Suma whispered to him. So he did and Xochi felt the change in the air and halted her attack. "You are very interesting." Suma's presence in the material had grown strong inside Thuren, so much so that when it was in control of their body it had its own distinct voice, even its personality was drastically different. "You remind me of something from before the emptiness was filled." Xochi's focus didn't waver even though she was confused by Suma's words. "But this fullness is infinitely more entertaining." Xochi watched as black tar leaked from Thuren's severed arm and snaked its way back to his body. Xochi slashed a burning Shockwave at him before the arm could reattach. "Oh? No intention of letting us be whole?" The tar leaking from the arm bubbled into a humanoid shape and immediately attacked Xochi. She avoided its first few strikes and drove her sword into its body but it did no damage and her weapon became stuck in the tar. The tar manikin punched Xochi hard enough to send her flying off the top of the palace into the mud below. She recovered immediately to see the manikin leap off the palace in pursuit of her with her sword still lodged inside of it. Xochi cloaked her fist in the same scarlet flames that her daughter commands and hit the manikin with an explosive haymaker launching the manikin back toward the palace. Before it hit the palace wall Xochi recalled her blade which carried the manikin back to her. She grabbed the sword's hilt and instantly ignited the blade allowing her to cut the manikin in half with ease. Triumphant Xochi directed her attention back at Thuren atop the palace. "Yes those flames are of the first to fill the empty. I've felt them before." Suma's voice was a higher pitch almost like a woman's and it was unnerving coming from Thuren's body. Xochi was about to continue her assault but sensed another presence. Thuren was suddenly launched like a cannonball into the rotting forest near the Palace by an unseen force. Sahn appeared where Thuren had been standing. "Hi! You must be Queen Xochi, I knew you're father! I'm here to help me and this guy go way back!" Sahn was yelling from the top of the palace so Xochi jumped back up. "You look too young to have known my father." She replied. "Well I was in another world for a little while but one hundred or so blooms passed here and I recently got back." Xochi thought he was a fool so she ignored him. "Stay out of my way I will finish Bahn." "How" Sahn asked. "From what I've been told he’s hard to kill. How you gonna do it?" "Hmph'' was Xochi's response. Thuren stood up and looked through the broken trees he just passed through. "Sahn? Switch with me." Suma obliged. "Where has he been all this time? And he hasn't aged?" He tried to take a step but his body wouldn't move. "Suma I thought you relinquished control." "I did." Suma replied. A crooked spindly hand crept up the left side of his body and rested on his shoulder. Soon after several spindly limbs wrapped around his body as Impetigo latched onto his back and whispered in an old language but Thuren still understood. "Let me drink of that parasite you house." Thuren smirked. "You speak in the tongue my daughter does. That language stems from a certain power. Where do you think she inherited that power?" Impetigo's mouth opened triple its normal gape and he sank his teeth into Thuren's right shoulder and began to drink Suma's essence. "What is happening Thuren?" Suma asked inside Thuren's head. Thuren was paralyzed and couldn't move. "Use it!" Suma demanded. Thuren didn't hesitate and absorbed in an instant all the corruption that had been spread throughout Xibalba for the last hundred blooms and expelled it all at once. The resulting force left a crack in the material and astral planes similar to the one that was created when the tablet had broken in Thuren's room when he was young. This crack however was much larger, large enough for a giant hand twice his size to reach out of it and rip Impetigo off of Thuren's body. It crushed Impetigo in its fist and dropped him into the mud. Thuren stretched his body and leapt all the way back to the top of his palace and landed in front of Sahn and Xochi. "Long time no see Sahn." Thuren greeted. Sahn's smile crept across his face. "Longer for you than me." He replied. A sound like cracking ice permeated the air as giant fingers ripped through the barrier of reality and a pair of monstrous hands pulled it apart enough for Suma's several long crab-like eyes to reach out and peer around. Thuren raised his hands into the air. "Behold! Suma The First To Form!"
