The Second King: Heinrich

The Second King: Heinrich

It was Lezlie herself. With her rabbit by her side, as if she had been waiting for us to arrive for hours. She was stepping right and left, wandering from here to there, and waiting for us to come sooner.

She had been lost in the thoughts of us arriving there. And when finally it did happen, her expression was normal at first, but she seemed much happier later on. She then finally saw us coming after the King, and couldn't control her tears out of happiness. She was going to run towards us, but at the final moment, she decided to stop and walked slowly. I thought she was going to hug or talk, as her expression was indicating on her face, but Lezlie, when she unexpectedly got to me, started crying silently and just looked at me.

None of us understood what was happening. But Lezlie looked at my face and talked,

"Look at you. I told you to be careful."

The feelings she had was corrupted and rather than normal, were deeply having her confused. It was the reason she was having purely anxiety. And she looked very relieved, after it seemed like she was forcing herself on something. It was as if she had woken up from a very long nightmare, devoured herself internally so that these feelings would disappear quickly, and was struggling to get as far away as possible.

And as soon as she finished her sentence, her eyes were full of tears again, and this time she hugged me tightly, continuing her words,

"Safe and sound. I am very much glad that you are all back."

Simply put, it looked like she was just worried about us. And being that easy to understand, I was actually relieved too, but still sad to see her like that.

So replying gently, I said to her,

"Yeah, we got worried a lot about you too. After all, you were here all alone."

And as I said that, I was interrupted,

"Not alone at all. It was actually my servants who helped her throughout."

He then turned his head and added,

"I actually thought it would be better if your friend got the best help she needed. And it would be a big shame not to return your favor, as a king that I am now."

I was actually smoothened by his words.

We argued so much, and got angry at each other. Two sides, two different hearts, and two different worlds. We had such differences of opinion. And as things became a shambles, all the anger we had got bigger and bigger, and because there was no way we could get out, we were now in a situation where we were hostile to each other. The king's protectionist nature towards his daughter had actually drawn her and him into even more darkness than he could be and filled him with anger. Of course, as a king, it was a difficult situation not to get caught up in such dark feelings. And what we caused was not easily forgotten. However, this was not a one-sided thing either. The journeys we have been on all this time, and the lifestyle we had, have all made us nervous, and reduced us to despair by reducing the realism of the plans we have put in front of us in our future from day to day.

We were all stunned by how to behave because of the accumulated emotions in our hearts, forgetting what it is to act right on the way to becoming an adult. However, whether we are confused or filled with angry feelings in our hearts, at the end of the day, we still managed to act maturely and act beyond even what we could do and open the door to kindness. And with everything reaching such a conclusion, something that made everyone internally happy and we were able to continue our journey in peace.

So on, the king finally reached the door of a big room and stopped right in front of it,

"There is someone inside who would like to meet you."

"Meet? At a time like this?" Asked Babu, still mostly confused about many things.

"Yes, and he said he will not wait until you all did. So try to understand the situation, and listen to what he will say. After that, everything will depend on your free will."

When the king then opened the door, we found ourselves on a huge terrace. Which was a part that was easily visible from the outside parts of the palace and which we saw earlier.

Besides its stuffed part, the entire place felt wholely new and it had a pretty nice view of the sea. The winds were making their way, out of the palace to into it with the waves it created, were simply and gently blowing our skins, and were hitting us in the face. Food and drinks were waiting for us on the tables and tables, and they were many options from meat, drinks, vegetables, and fruits to even sweets.

And in the middle of the terrace, there was a man with his back to us.

This must have been the man the king was talking about, so I thought as he didn't turn his back.

He had a very elegant outfit. He was wearing a coat carefully equipped with ivy patterns, covered with a dark color with a gold-plated ornament and wrapped from the wrist to the neck of the person, and at the waist, he was wearing a belt that helped hold them and closed the outfit in the middle.

His outfit followed the same glaze as it went to the lower zone and ended with dark shoes. Although this man seemed to care about his clothes, he had messy gray hair and a bushy gray beard that could also be seen from behind.

It was quite a mystery now. While being a cold welcome for us, we didn't know how to expect it with an attitude towards him. After all, there was no information about his rank, nor no explanation for the situation.

And for the most confusing part, I was out to feel there, was just like his appearance was somewhat confusing, his strength was also not felt. He was almost like a ghost that we were encountering and was getting much more complex. We were just wondering who he was.

But that only stayed unexplained, until the King turned his head to us once again,

"Heroes and our exquisite warriors, let me introduce you, to the king of the second kingdom, King Heinrich."

And when he stopped talking, the king of the sea people, moved aside and slightly bowed to the king of the second kingdom. He leaned over in front of him, listening to the words that he would speak without making a sound. I was very surprised at first, since it was a view that changed every single one of our's moods and understanding of the situation. The fact that even the sea king himself bowed before the king, showed how great the person in front of us was in a real sense.
