Mysterious Student

And just then, the soldiers from the kingdom and the soldiers of the sea king began to flock to the ships. Hundreds of people were boarding ships and helping each other. And it was not long before they got full. So we followed the king and boarded the king's ship.

Although the king did not reveal how he felt, he was pleased with the men he sent, as were all of us. Because now the ships were full of men, and voices were rising from every ship.

"Get the cannons ready!"

"We must make sure that the ship opens comfortably into the water! Come on, come on, come on!"

"Preparations are in order! We're almost ready!"

Everyone was in on something. The hustle and bustle wouldn't stop. And when our ship was ready, we left the port in no time. Now all the other ships were following the ship we were on. This showed how much they followed the king's orders one by one.

Even the waves were on our side. It had added speed to our pace and we had led easily. And when the sails were opened, the wind blew strongly and began to take us in the direction we needed to go.

At this rate, we could have arrived on time. After all, we were moving pretty fast on our route and they were a lot of people that were working hard. My friends, on the other hand, had disappeared for a short time. They were probably helping the others or such, But I didn't go looking for them. I had someone I needed to talk to.

That's why I went to find the knight. He was the person that I had to talk about before. There were a lot of questions in my head and things I wanted to say to him.

I thought it would be difficult to find him, but he was watching the sea in the corner of the deck. I felt a little lucky that he got on the same ship as us. But he looked lost in his thoughts. So it wasn't going to be that easy for me to talk to him.

I approached him and said,

"How are you feeling?"

"My wounds have gotten better. I'm just worried about what is coming."

"I. I'm sorry for what I have heard. It must be hard to move on like this."

"I'm an Honorary Knight." He replied with determination.

He then looked at me and added,

"I have anger and sadness gathered up inside me. All through our battle. And the shame that I feel for my losses is something I can't erase. But I know one thing. And that is to move forward no matter what. Because as a knight, I must complete this mission. Or either their efforts will mean nothing."

I knew exactly how he felt. It was just like the emotion when I was leaving Lezlie. She was hurt. She was nervous and afraid. But if I didn't move on, our situation was going to be worse.

"I will try my best on the battlefield."

"It goes the same for me. We have to end this in order to regain peace once more."

The Knight then looked at me and asked me something that I didn't expect,

"How do you know that man?"

"Who are you talking about?"

The knight pointed with his hand to the top of the sails, towards the crow's nest, and said,

"I've heard of someone known as the white death. He is quite a popular and powerful individual himself. And this person right here, is also quite similar to him."

"White Death?"

"A ghost trapped in a metal body. From what I've heard, people call him like that because of his presence. This guy looks a lot like him. But I don't have any idea why he would be here."

He then added,

"Also, they say that as long as he activates his power in a certain way, he might activate some type of power. It's like a magical item."

Someone with a good or a bad reputation was among our team, but we had no clue about it. I knew he was someone who was dangerous, but I didn't know he was "White Death".

Besides, why didn't he attack us? Were we wrong about him? Or did he lie to get closer to his goal?

*No that can't be.* I thought to myself.

Maybe he was suspicious, but I chose to trust him. Because if we did stop trusting each other right now, things would get worse. So I decided to go along with the moment.

"Where did you hear all that?" I asked him in a confused way.

"From the third kingdom and from the fourth kingdom. The people who came used to tell his story. He is a disciple of Master Shen and the owner of the red fury. Someone with the power of a thousand armies. If he's the one, it would be really good to have him on our side."

Master Shen? Was this the master he talked about?

In an excited way, I asked,

"Who is Master Shen?"

"He is somebody who has a great reputation. I am very surprised that you didn't hear about him."

"Yeah, I'm too. I guess I was careless about that."

The Knight then started explaining,

"Master Shen is considered the greatest master of the ninja lineage. There is no one in the whole world who does not know it, especially in the fourth kingdom. He created one of the wounds of the fourth king. And, as you can see, he raised quite powerful ninjas.

"And what happened to him?"

"He was assassinated by a person. And it was by a person that he saw as a son. He had done greater goods, completed his goals and missions. And his reputation got bigger with each day. But Master Shen's goals made him blind towards his other feelings and thoughts. Although he was considered one of the most powerful people in this world, he lost his life for mishandling his trust."

Master Shen's death and Shou's revenge. They looked like they were connected. But just like before, I didn't want to misjudge or come to a conclusion without any evidence. I needed to talk to him after the war. He probably had more in his mind that he didn't tell us.

And while I was thinking about it, I heard someone shout once more,

"A ship has appeared on the bow section! Take your positions!"
