Tian clutched onto his chest. He squished around the spear as he caught his breath. Tian’s mind was going on a rampage; he was scared.
The spear went directly in the middle of his chest. The thickness of the spear was as big as his hand. Tian was fat, he was unhealthy, and frankly, he could never last running for 10 minutes. That was just his limit.
Tian breathed heavily as he stared at the spear in his heart. The pain he felt rushed down his mind, and he forced himself to endure the excruciating pain. He couldn’t describe it other than it was the feeling of death.
He could have fainted at any point due to the pain. But with enough force, he was clutching with his eyes blurred and wavy. Is this what they meant by time goes slow when you die… Tian had stood in the same spot for almost a minute. Or at least that’s what he thought.
How was my life… well… it was shit. Tears flowed down his eyes and he coughed a bucket of blood another time. It was so fucking shit! Tian gritted his teeth.
His eyes were not only blurred and his surroundings weren’t only dancing, everything was also wet, he might as well be blind.
I… have done many things in my life. I have way too many regrets, way too many fucking problems. Tian couldn’t do anything with a spear in his chest. His body slowly dropped to the ground as it lost strength.
Sorry, Mom… your son died as the disappointment he was. I really thought I would succeed you know! I may have been still fat before, but I once had a girlfriend, a dream, and even a side job, writing.
Tian lay on the ground sideways. His arm felt pain, but compared to his chest it was nothing.
Though of course, I made no money. After going through college I really thought getting a job would be easy. I continued pursuing my writing dream as I looked for engineering jobs. But time went by and I was caught up. Having so much free time is a curse. I wasn’t even good at writing! I wasted my life cause of a stupid fucking dream!
Tian’s mind started to get exhausted. His thoughts jumbled around, they constantly lost direction. He couldn’t stay conscious for any longer.
I was suicidal. But, then, but… I… can’t. I… life… want.
The surroundings started to close. His eyes blinked and it became smaller and smaller. The pain in his chest still remained, but it started to feel like a fleeting emotion. Tian had felt it, and so what… it was an explosive end for his life, isn’t that good enough? I… wish I could be reborn… I promise… to be a better man… please… God.
As his eyes lost their strength, there was one thing they caught. The black wall started to go up and a slight midge of light revealed itself. Tian had no more chances of living but just that single thought, made his entire suicidal self disappear immediately. Facing death really does something to a person, Tian didn’t want to die. No matter what, he wanted to live.
“Hahahaha!” A screeching laugh struck Tian’s ears.
“Oh! Standing ovation everyone!” Then claps were heard.
Tian’s eyes wavered against the loud voices. His eyes forced themselves to open and saw hundreds of bodies on the ground; dead with a spear on their chest. What?
“Wooohooo! I see some people still awake! Wow! I congratulate you! Now please, stop acting like you're dead… hahaha!”
Tian questioned what he had just heard. What do you mean? I’m dying her- Dying? What dying? Who lasts for minutes with their heart stabbed? What is this? Some joke?
“Did you guys forget the memo? I swear I mailed it to you~! Everyone! You’re immortal!”
Tian’s eyes widened. At that moment his entire body felt the same pain as it did, but his eyes gained perfect vision once again. With his chest puffing from pain, he risked one single thing.
Tian placed both his hands on the spear and pulled hard! “Aghhhhh!!!!” He yelled; his body became paralyzed.
“Oh, is someone trying something?” The man flew close to the noise, exactly above Tian.
“Interesting, nice job having a brain young man.”
“Aghhh!” But Tian wasn’t a person who had gone through some hard training. After the slow-growing pain in the spearhead’s sharp points, Tian couldn’t handle it anymore, he fainted.
“Oh, well that was a disappointment.” His smile turned upside down. Quite literally.
“Well, then! I guess I have to wait for everyone to wake up! I should probably just remove the spears hahaha!”
The man snapped his fingers and all the spears attached to the multiple humans on the ground disappeared in an instant. Then afterward, the small ponds of blood flew to the sky and formed a small circle.
After it collected all its kin from the ground, the many balls of blood entered the hollow chest. It stretched and covered the hole, soon their skin reattached, and they… were healed.

The flying man flicked his hand and a phone appeared. “Eyy, boss, can I get a table, a square meter floor, and a chair here?”
The man wasn’t ordinary looking, other than the handsome face that could warrant a thousand women’s hearts in an instant, and other than a body with perfect symmetry, the man had horns; 10 to be exact.
“Ehhh, but it will take long before they all wake up.” The man looked down on the hundreds of bodies that lay on the ground.
“I mean there are some who are awake, but that’s like a hundred, that’s not a lot.”
“Oh come on!” The man continued to argue with his phone.
On the black floor that seemingly radiated some bits of light, lay thousands upon thousands of bodies that stretched afar. Some people were able to stay awake due to their high pain endurance, but that was less than a single percent of the entire body count.
“Fine! But this will cost you! It takes so much “Authority” power!”
“...”
“Yeah, yeah!”
“...”
“You promise okay!” The man raised his hands.
“But seriously, it takes too much, if only you weren’t a God!” The man raised his hand to the sky and soon an hourglass appeared.
The hourglass span in mid-air, it floated an inch away from his hand. The man made his phone disappear and placed his hand down, “Everyone that is awake! Don’t do anything horrific okay!”
The man slowly removed his hand from under the hourglass, as the thing spun faster and faster, a portal appeared and the man quickly ran in.
The hourglass spun so fast that it made an image of a circle, and soon… it exploded into a bright white light across the void.

… Tian’s mind was blank. His body felt heavy from the excruciating pain he had just went through. As soon as he woke up he looked straight down to his chest. His suit had a hole in it that exposed his breast; he’s a man by the way.
Tian looked up to a dark sky and to dark walls, it was just like the time inside the interview room, but this time there was one clear difference, there were a bunch of people there with him.
“Where are we?”
“Get me out of here!”
“What type of job is this!”
“I’ll report you to the police!”
“Do you know who I am! Get me out of here!”
There were many complaints, but one thing was common, no one wanted to be there. And why do they act like they didn’t just feel like a spear pierced through their heart you may ask? I mean the trauma is so horrible it could damage your brain, but it really is simple, they fainted as soon as it “killed” them. Weaklings, that’s simple.
I… died… I’m… immortal… Tian’s head shook. His body constantly shivered like he was possessed. Tian had always been insecure about his body, he never wanted to be naked in front of a crowed, nor show just how fat he was, but at this moment, where his drippy breasts were revealed to hundreds of people, all he could do was to hold tight on his chest and cry.
Hehehe… wow… wow… wow… He… had gone insane. But that should be temporary, the main character of a series should never be normal… right?
“Everyone! Everyone! Relax!” The man yelled.

“Who are you!”
“I will kill you!”
“Are you the one who kidnapped us!”
The man chuckled hearing the complaints of the ants below him. “Humans really are so stupid! Does me flying in the air… not even dare to stop you from threatening to kill me!” His head rapidly shook for a moment. The man snapped his fingers and multiple heads exploded to bits.
“Well then, I should probably start with an introduction first!”
“Ahhhhh!” The people screamed in fear.
“My name is Kron, the administrator of the tutorial floors. Also known as the floor 1 to 10.” Kron started to move from his spot and encircled the masses.
“As you people can see on what’s happening to those whose heads just exploded.”
The blood formed into a circle and attached themselves back to the neck. The blood slowly formed the faces of the bodies.
“You people… are all immortal now!”
“I know! I know! It’s such a great gift!”
Of course, the state of being immortal wasn’t that great either, nor was it really that overpowered. The dead people’s heads were still stuck in forming their faces, with an injury that severe, with their untrained skills, it would take at least a week for them to completely heal.
“Imagine living for- forever!”
“Maybe even try to kill yourself in ways you had imagined!”
“Or train a skill for a thousand years!”
“There really are infinite possibilities!” The man screamed at the highest he could.
His hands panted outwards as he catched his breath. With a creepy smile that ruined his face and eyes that popped red, the man continued.
“Now people, you may wonder where you may be?”
“Are you kidnapped by the government to test the newly invented immortality virus or some bullshit? No!”
“You humans can never achieve such things!”
“You… people… have been chosen by the God of Death and Life himself!”
“Your mission is to climb a one-hundred-floor tower that… a little spoiler if you don’t mind.” Kron flew close to a person’s face.
“Is kinda hard.” He squinched his fingers a pixel apart.
“You know… like uhh… a billion years?” He slowly flew back up.
“For… the… uh… the ten floors…”
“What!”
People yelled in more complaints, but as they should have learned at that moment, the man really didn’t care.
“But don’t worry! You won’t lose any edge in the great war! As time would of course flow differently inside the tower!”
“Oh, oops! That’s a bigger spoiler.” Kron started to fly in a circle vertically until a blue screen appeared in the middle.
“Well without further ado, and no more chit-chat! Shall we start the real thing!”
[System]
The huge blue screen in the air presented one word.
“Now some might know what this is already! So that should be simple!”
“And so! Let me do a quick summary as it has already been a few minutes since I have been rambling on!”
Kron flicked both his hands and from beneath him into a flowing succession, everyone awakened their system.

“You will all start at the first floor of the tower! At the starting villages of the first world! Now how can you climb to the next floor? Well, that’s simple! You just have to level up to 10! That is all for now! Good-bye, everyone! Have fun! It has been great! And it has been your little ol me! Bye bye!”
Tian immediately got teleported into a different location. He sat on a cement floor and his hands were full of gravel with just one touch.
The man said something about spawning in the middle of the starting village… but what Tian sees wouldn’t even be called a village.
Tian sat in the middle of a sliced house. Each half of the stone house was tilted to the side, broken to bits. A few pieces of wooden furniture were scattered around, or maybe there wasn’t even furniture, right now they just looked like pieces of… well, wood.
He looked at his hand and wiped it on his pants. Tian stood up with his hands and it was once again covered with gravel. Well, no worries, just another wipe to the pants.
Outside the house were all similar broken houses, there were no screams or voices around and that just meant that Tian was alone. Though with that many people(?), he was alone right now? That couldn’t be right.
Tian’s legs were in pain, not because of any injury, it was just normal, he did run for a few minutes to the interview building.
As soon as he left the house, the roads were completely empty. There might as well be some desert bushes.
*Crack.
Tian stepped on a loose rock and made the first noise in the entire area. As soon as he stepped on the rock a roar emerged from behind.
His eyes widened and his body shook in fear. His spine shivered and Tian immediately decided to run.
There were no signs of any enemy or monster around him but there was a clear sign that there was “Something” right behind him.
While Tian was running, his steps became louder and louder. It soon became apparent that it wasn’t his feet, but the steps of another animal.
It had only been a few seconds but Tian was already tired. He crouched down and breathed heavily. Tian bit his lips and never let go.
He looked back and his eyes widened. Tian inhaled air from shock and got stuck. He pressed his neck and violently coughed. Tian ran, he wasn’t fast nor was he agile. He looked back again and it really was there.
It was a giant tiger at the height of a house. The road was completely clean of any humans or cars, by looking at the infrastructure it was a typical medieval city.
“Quaaaaaa!!!”
A giant blob of saliva came down above Tian. He looked back and up just to be plunged by a disgusting ball of water.
Tian couldn’t handle the strength that a simple sphere of water had and fell down to the ground, scraping his elbow. “Rrr.” He groaned.
The tiger ran closer and stretched one of its arms toward Tian.
Out of desperation, he looked around fast and grabbed a piece of wood lying on the ground. It had a pointed tip and a flat other side. He quickly turned it to the pointed end. Tian raised his arms in hopes of hitting the paw that rushed like a meteor.
“Raaaaaa!!!!”
It worked, the tigers now had a stick stuck to it… but… so what? Tian tried to turn his back and run away while the tiger was distracted from the pain.
“Hu- O-” Tian panted heavily. His hand clutched the ground and he stretched his legs, now just jump and he’s out-
“Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!” Tian’s raised body dropped to the ground. He looked behind him and half of his body was gone, the only thing left was his feet which stayed on the ground. Tian watched his body as the tiger threw it into the air and caught it.
He yelled and continued to yell from the screeching pain until at that moment, the slow motions of his body from the sky and the slow movement of the cat. At that moment, Tian had experienced… the phrase,
“Time turns slow when you die.”
