12. Life At The Camp

“Can you kill me?”

“Uh… you mean what I did to the two over there?” Tian tilted his head.

“Yes…” Kailey still averted Tian’s eyes.

“Well, okay, if you say so.” He stood up and looked for the spear.

Tian walked a bit around to the Camp until he found the spear. He turned around and was shocked by the soundless steps of Kailey following behind him.

“Uh… you uh…” He didn’t know what was going on with Kailey’s sudden request, but he felt a sense of familiarity with the air around her.

Though her eyes didn’t look empty like his previous or maybe even current ones, but it felt small. It’s like a wide universe with one star dimly lit.

Her hands tightly held her pants, it was like… shame… and the feeling of… well he couldn’t understand.

Tian just followed and didn’t dare to ask any questions. “Are you ready?” Tian bent down to look at her eyes. She immediately looked away and replied, “Yes”.

“You know… if I wasn’t fat, I would have thought you liked me.” Before Kailey would even respond, as he said his sentence, his spear was already in the middle of a thrust.

Kailey fell to the ground and coughed blood. Her eyes twitched and her teeth cracked from her grit. She lasted for a few seconds before she fainted, “Oh… she lasted a lot longer than the guys. Either she is just that good or she’s just that stubborn.”

Tian stared at the body of Kailey until his trance of a weird personality came to a close, “Oh God! What the fuck, I was so into that, damn… if I was good-looking, that scene would have caught some fan girls. I’m sure of it!”

Tian smirked with a constant chuckle as he dragged Kailey’s body in the middle of Mark and Crazel. “Okay, so I know I have some problems with my morality, whether it is because of this world, or that’s why I was a jobless neet, or I guess, that just means, neet, but my God, does this picture look so much like a threesome.”

He released a loud breath out and went back to his pieces of stone. Looking back to the three, he remembered how he forgot about Kailey’s name, his memory truly is far worse than he thinks.

Tian kneeled down and decided to bring his stuff much closer to the three, so close that it is practically beside them.

The three were placed outside of the campfire, at the middle log. He dropped all his stuff inside the logs, besides the campfire that actually had no fire.

“Oh wait… where’s the fire? What?!” Tian looked at the pile of firewood placed just beside the forest; still tied with a rope. Then he leaned up the logs and looked at the holes inside Mark and Crazel’s chest.

“Hmm… it’s kind of healed… I mean I don’t know how long it takes for this to heal… ah!!! I don’t know anymore! How did they make a fire? Fuck!” Tian kneeled down and smashed his arm to the ground. He dragged it upward and scraped his entire arm as it bled horribly.

“Why the fuck did I do that!” He sighed and just decided that he was far too incompetent to even try being competent.

Tian continued to transport everything beside the campfire which is now just a pile of ashes. After everything was transported closer, he went to the end of the middle log and started to drag it to the side, he positioned himself like a sumo wrestler, ready for battle.

“Ah!!!” His feet were buried in the soil with each pull. The skin of his hands bled and scraped at each shout. One last stretch and his feet were already inward the log.

He was far too hasty, after observing the log a little more, Tian found a better way to move the log.

First, he placed himself in front of the end. Turned around and squatted down. He dug in the soul behind his back and lifted the log up, then he started walking.

After a minute, he looked back at his progress; satisfied, he dropped the log down to the ground as it scraped flatted down his heel from his tendon.

He clicked his tongue and pulled his feet out from the log while he hissed and twisted his head around to relieve the pain.

Looking down, his feet painted the ground with blood each step he took. It wasn’t that painful, but as he hadn’t ever gotten hurt that much in his feet, he wasn’t used to it like his chest.

“Ah…” Tian sighed and let go of his body. He dropped face down to the ground and closed his eyes.

The next day, his feet were finally healed after a good night's sleep. He placed his right hand above his eyes and bent his body to look for the spear.

“There it is!” Tian stabbed the spear to the ground, just above the head of Kailey. With his fingers, he wrote their names above their head on the soil.

“Okay, I thought it was going to be like sand.” After writing down their names Tian looked at his dirt-filled nails and browned finger, “So I know that intrusive thoughts are like… something you shouldn’t do as it could kill you… but I’m immortal… and that looks like chocolate…”

After a very questionable next minute, Tian went back to carving his boulder. Days passed until once again he was stopped. This time it was Crazel.

“Hello, Crazel! You awake now!”

He only leaned back up and held his head. Crazel looked down on his chest and yelled.

Tian stood up from the ground and headed for the spear above Kailey’s head.

“It’s healed right? It’s now like a single finger hole.”

“Fuck! But it’s still so fucking painful!” Crazel hissed louder than a fart and groaned like a disappointed dad. He turned his head to his left and saw a hole inside Kailey’s chest.

He blushed for a millisecond, looking at her bare breast, but after the sight of her heart and lungs, he gagged and blocked his mouth. “Why does Kailey have a hole in her chest!” He turned back immediately.

“Awww, don’t feel too sad, she asked for it.” Tian pierced his chest again and pulled it as quickly as he placed it.

Crazel’s hand was thrown out as blood spurted from his mouth. “What ar- aaaaa!!!!”

“You have to get used to it.” Tian stabbed the spear back to the ground and walked back to his place as Crazel hummed a beautiful scream into his ears.

“Hmm… now that I think about it… killing him as soon as he got back up…” He rubbed his chin. “I totally look like a villain right now.” He paused and watched as Crazel fell back to the ground and his screams soon ended.

“Eh, it’s cool.” He yawned. “I guess I haven’t really eaten or slept…”

Tian continued carving his boulder until only a few days later Mark finally moved. Just like Crazel, he first leaned back up. His eyes were closed as he concentrated on the pain in his chest, trying his best to resist and endure.

“Oh… cool, you didn’t scream as soon as you arrived.” Tian clapped his hands and picked the spear back up.

“I can do it… It’s painful.” Mark felt the pain to the point he wanted to throw up. But as that feeling slowly happens, but saliva just runs out of the tiny opening of his esophagus; entering his inner body.

“Ugh… It stings and hurts. It hurts and hurts and hurts so much!”

“Well I congratulate you, but I think just one more and you are good to go to the second face.”

“What? What do you mean…” He gagged “...by one more…” Mark still had his eyes closed. He placed his hand above his chest and squeezed the hole to a close.

His chest then suddenly bumped forward as his eyes automatically opened and lay at the tip of a stone spear. Pain once again engulfed his chest and a squeal was released out his mouth. But he closed and endured it quickly.

He gritted his teeth to a crack and squished his body till all his muscles hurt.

Tian sighed and placed the spear back on the ground. “You will be good soon enough.” He didn’t hear Mark scream even till he dropped to the ground. With a smile on his face and a short rub on his nose, he clicked his tongue and went back to his boulder.

*Chrip!

A bird feasted on the deer meat laying at the edge of the forest beside the firewood. The bird had found treasure, a delicious free meat without anyone shoving it away.

It looked at the man making loud noises as he banged rocks. He didn’t do anything nor see the bird and so it just continued.

Day after day it ate the deer, but soon it was found out by his peers. It didn’t want to share its treasure, but it had no choice.

And so he ate. Days, he ate with other birds, with their numbers it didn’t take long for the meat to already been halved.

The bird wasn’t smart enough to have emotions like anger, but it did have it. His treasure, the one he found, was being feasted by birds even when it wasn’t there.

It was a random act, but one day it just flew to the man who never seemed to move position even after days; banging rocks nonstop.

The bird first flew around the man, chirping as it went. But even with such distractions, the man’s concentration just couldn’t be broken.

The next day it tried a different strategy. It flew straight above the boulder it was smashing and finally, it noticed its presence. “A bird? Hm… it’s a little bigger than my palm… brown with a long beak… it’s like a small eagle. So what do you want little bird?”

It flew to its fore and pecked it. “Aww, you hungry little bird? There’s some foo-”

And so the bird fell to the man’s grasp. Its strength was unescapable, the bird lived a short life. But as selfish as it was, it deserved to die.

“Ahh!! Shoo! Shoo! Get the fuck away! Aww men, its been ravaged by birds! It’s almost gone! I see so many bones! No!!!”

Tian mourned the loss of the deer. He kneeled down and prayed for it’s delicious transformation to annoying bird poop. After witnessing the birds glorify themselves to uncook food, Tian was filled with determination, something he had always wanted… to hunt dees.

“Okay, they are all asleep, so they have no right to tell me anything! And if they ever so happen to be kidnapped! I’ll just have to train for one hundred years and kill whoever kidnapped them! Whether it’s that disgusting country which just looks like a refugee camp!”

Tian released the firewood from the disgusting touch of the ropes. He looked for the spears all scattered around.

He held one spear in his hand and strapped the other two in a crossed shape on his back. For some unnecessary fashion, Tian took the rope meant for his weapon and tied it around his forehead.

“Okay… time to go hunting.”
