Currently, Baron and his group of aerial aircraft were making their way as fast as they could to meet the Sun Alliance fleet in battle. Even though Zheng Zhi Long was trailing behind in his fleet of ships, both of them had been briefed on the current situation regarding their target. Apparently, there was a high likelihood of their enemy this time being led by a formidable strategist.
Currently, this group was engaging with a shoddy defense hastily put together meant to stall. Baron had received word that another force was being gathered and would require a bit of time before they could come to reinforce and so Baron had actually come at a crucial point. By the time Baron had approached onto the battlefield, his allies' formation was close to breaking.
From his intuition, it seemed as if the strategist leading this stalling endeavor was among one of the relatively less strategically competent people. The only thing that could be gleaned from this was either that the haste in which this force was put together was truly desperate, or that the other reinforcements were purposely stacking up more capable strategists.
This did not really matter to Baron as he only had one job in front of him. And that was to make sure that he could stall the enemy for another period of time. As soon as his group arrived, Baron assumed control of all of the remnants of the nearly devastated group. It was nearly nightfall so Baron only needed to hold out with this group for another hour or two. Usually, both sides were unwilling to engage in prolonged warfare into the night, but seeing as how Baron’s forces were nearing the breaking point, the Sun Alliance fleet pressed on.
Soon enough, Zheng Zhi Long’s fleet came into the fray as well and that was when the enemy forces finally decided to pull away. Zheng Zhi long’s fleet had come from behind and though they were detected early on, the commanding general of the Sun Alliance fleet was sure that they would be able to handle their current adversary first. After this, they would be able to turn around to meet the new threat.
However, as much as they seemed to be able to break the shoddy fleet in front of them. The resilience that they had deployed was shocking. Beaten, battered, bruised, and then some yet still they held out. It was admirable, but in the end, the enemy forces decided to pull out once they knew that they would not be able to win today.

There were a few more hours until the first peeks of sunlight would hit the waters, so Baron and Zheng Zhi Long both agreed to have the soldiers who had fought the longest to get a bit of rest while some stayed awake to maintain vigilance. Then, the two of them met with the commanding officers of the original fleet and inquired as to the specifics of the situation that they were in.
After chatting and such for a few days, Baron and Zheng Zhi Long had gained quite a bit of information that had been going on with the First’s side of the war against the Sun Alliance.
Evidently, First was also held in a similar binding position to Second was. Both had been entangled in the struggle for an island when they bore witness to a massive fleet heading to their own territory. The only difference was that First didn’t send any fleets to chase them down and instead continued their dominance of the island.
Second, it was likely that the enemy that they were tasked with this time was someone of First and Second’s level of naval warfare. Baron guessed that this was likely either Sun Wu or Sun Bin. His deduction was based around the fact that of the tactics that he had seen today, many of them did not appear to be based upon Chinese principles, rather more European like. It was common knowledge at this point that these two had just recently come back from traversing the many other communities.
Once day hit, Baron and the rest were met with a stunning revelation, their enemy had seemingly disappeared into thin air. The scouts that had been sent to keep an eye on them seemed to disappear as well. Not even one update since their departure. Even the F-35s that Baron had under his control was not able to detect their presence.
Given that the Sun Alliance had only left a couple of hours ago, they shouldn’t have gone far enough along that they would have been able to ditch this detection system. Even Zheng Zhi Long’s fleet, renowned for their speed, was not able to achieve such speed feats. That only left them with one possible conclusion, a detection jamming signal or something along those lines.
This was a dangerous game that Baron and Zheng Zhi Long found themselves in. They had no idea where their enemies were. Not even a single clue. Losing track of an enemy during such crucial times did not bode well for the ones who were unaware, to say the least. Even if they had the reinforcements’ help, they would not be able to find the Sun Alliance fleet if they were to scour the waters looking for them.
In the end, Baron decided to have all of his aces go up into the skies to see if they could find the whereabouts of the hiding fleet. There wasn’t a lot of them left after so many clashes with enemies, but they provided valuable eyes on the sky that was crucial for moments like these.
After just half a day of searching, the Sun Alliance fleet was spotted. It turns out that they were already engaged with the reinforcements who for one reason or another had found them out. Zheng Zhi Long and Baron both left immediately upon hearing this piece of news. It was a possibility that the enemies’ jamming devices were so powerful that they affected the reinforcements equipment as well.
If that was the case, then it would be unwise to engage in this battle without first alerting their boss. Which they did before they headed into the communication and detection dead zone that their enemy had set up.
