Chapter 270 Li Xin’s Journey

Chapter 270 Li Xin’s Journey

(LX) “Haha, where have I been? I’ve been to a variety of different communities in order to complete tasks given to me by my superiors. I have been to the Korean community as well as the communities of the Mongolian, Great Britain, and Japanese peoples," Li Xin answered Baron's question.

(BM) "Oh, you sure have been around then," Baron said in surprise.

(HX) "It appears so. I fancy myself a traveler, but with the expenses that can rack up, I haven't been going to other communities as much as I would like to have," Han Xin added.

(LX) "Mmm, the Sun Alliance paid for all of the expenses I accrued so it wasn't too bad for me. Anyway, Baron, I'm sure that you have yet to venture beyond the walls of the Chinese community, do you plan on going anytime soon?"

(BM) "I'm not sure. With the faction still in its infancy, I'm not sure if I should. What do you two think?"

(LX) "I think that you need to get away from all of the craziness and drama of the Chinese community for a little while and go have fun in the other communities. It is not just for widening your horizons, but also because if you still do truly wish to become the best of the best, it would serve you well to see how powerful some of the other communities manage themselves."

(HX) "Now that is something that I can wholeheartedly agree with Li Xin. It is the primary reason that I even go in the first place. Not to mention, learning the different styles of warfare from the other communities is likely to inspire you to become a better strategist. All in all, a great way to improve yourself and maybe even buy a few blueprints that will help you to give you an edge."

(BM) "That sounds all well and good, but I don't think the Under 1 Banner faction will be as self-sustaining as much as I want it to be anytime soon. Thank you for the idea though, I think I might journey beyond these walls that I have resided within for the past century. Soon. For now, it is best to focus on bettering the faction and making sure it will be able to stand up to foes like the Vesper faction for the time being."

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

(LX) "A reasonable course of action is to wait until the end of the Death Match tournament and then go on a journey of self-improvement. What do you think?"

(HX) "Oh, that is actually not a bad plan. You'll have over a century and a half to make sure U1B can stand on its own two feet without much supervision and then you can go have your adventure. Of course, it would be unwise to have all of the top brass go with you so some will have to stay."

(BM) "I'll give it some more thought later, Li Xin, how did you manage to get out of the Sun Alliance faction, I heard it is exceedingly difficult to do so."

(LX) "You have no idea just how difficult it really was. I had to pay 250,000 coins upfront, which by the way, was almost the entire amount that I had received from them in all my time in their service. There was also a requirement for me to complete a bunch of tasks for the faction. That took a few decades even at my fastest. There were a few more conditions but it was certainly a harrowing experience just to leave a faction like that. They sure don't make it easy."

(HX) "Sounds like a nightmare, are all of the major factions like that?"

(LX) "Most of them are, they don't want to lose anyone. And if anyone is really adamant about leaving, they milk everything they can from the person before their departure. They are a bit more lenient on their more powerful allies, but that's about it. I don't even know what would happen if someone like Li Guang wanted out."

(HX) "Are the rumors true that he is likely to be the next leader of the Sun Alliance?"

(LX) "Umm, there are two main candidates for that position. One is Li Guang, but for now, the more prominent figure is Sun Bin. Right now, Sun Bin and Sun Tzu are traveling back to the Chinese community. They have been gone for quite a few centuries, so I hope for their sake that they will also bring home a lot of ways to improve our community because most of the people aren't too happy about all of the problems that have arisen due to their absence."

(HX) "When were you told that he was coming back?"

(LX) "About a quarter of a century ago while I was still in the employ of the Sun Alliance. So if they return straight from the United States community, they should be back fairly soon. If they do decide to make a few stops then it will take another decade at the most. This is all speculation on my end of course, but I believe them to be fairly accurate."

(BM) "Will the presence of the overlord of the Chinese community be able to ward off the evildoers like the Vesper faction?"

(LX) "Hard to say, if this back before Sun Tzu left the Chinese community, then maybe. I have no idea how much this journey will have affected him. It could be something as revolutionary as changing their entire philosophy to something as small as the way they talk. It definitely depends on what they have seen while they were on their journey."

(BM) "This has been nice, but I have a few more appointments that I have to get to so I'll be leaving first. You two can continue to chat, see you later," Baron said as he got up and left.

(HX) "I too have to get going. Let's talk later, Li Xin, I do wish to hear more of your adventures in the other communities."

(LX) "Sure. Send me a message anytime you wish to meet."
