Chapter 250 Electric Swift

Chapter 250 Electric Swift

The monstrosity that Jaxon had built was a variant of the F-5 Tiger from America. However, it was equipped with some of the most advanced systems that were available to him in 2060. Its name was Electric Swift. As its name suggests, it was fast beyond anything that resembled it. There were faster ones out there, but they were used more for stealth rather than head-on dogfights. A state of the art missile and enemy detection system, much of which were automated to deal with anything foreign that strayed too close. And so many more features.

This was just one of the blueprints that Jaxon had up his sleeve, and he was as proud as a father could be when he saw just how well his weapons were dealing with the coalition army. He only took 200 of them to go toe-to-toe with almost 2,000 enemy fighters. He came back victorious by downing half of the enemy’s numbers while taking only a few dozen casualties. That was just how overpowering these planes were. Evasion systems were near perfect, but what the biggest advantage that this plane had over others was that they had equipped with them an electromagnetic pulse weapon that they could shoot into enemy ranks.

What was even more special about this EMP weapon was that it was designed to work in short bursts to make it even harder for enemy pilots to respond. It was highly experimental, but it was a deadly weapon nonetheless. Caution would have to be exercised as it was only meant to disorientate the enemy for a few minutes. Once it went offline, then the Electric Swift would be able to come in and deal massive damage to the enemies that were still in confusion.

Baron saw all of this at a distance and felt a little outdated as this was something purely in the realm of science fiction for him. Nevertheless, it was a spectacle to behold. In under one hour, Jaxon had done something that Baron was fairly certain that close to no one would be able to replicate. Baron had heard from Jaxon of how unorthodox some of his inventions were, but that was what made them so useful.

After the Electric Swift docked in the temporary airfield, all of the other pilots took to the air to confront the next wave of enemies that were already coming for them. Baron and Jaxon both knew from that point on, they would not be able to mess around anymore. In the days after the introduction of the Electric Swift, the coalition army that had outnumbered Baron and Jaxon multiple times was in a sorry state. Not only did they lose every engagement that they dedicated their resources to, all of the ambushes, night raids, bombers, and whatever else that they thought of were not able to achieve their goals.

The coalition may have had a few highly skilled aerial strategists, they were nothing in front of the Under 1 Banner duo. Day after day, they lost. From what they have heard, the capital base raids that the other major army was not faring that much better than they were. What could they do? If they continued fighting on both fronts, then they would just be sending their hard-earned resources right to their graves. Leaders of the coalition decided to continue pressing on for another week to see if they could get results.

Baron, Lu Mu, Jaxon, Guan Yu, and Yue Fei knew that the coalition was running low on morale. Coalition army had lost on every front and every offensive, there was no way that they would be able to win in this situation. Even after the week, nothing had changed. Baron’s team was still on top. However, there was just one problem that plagued them. It was that they had casualties that added up to slightly over half of their entire force. If the coalition did not disband, they would truly be in desperate straits. Thankfully, the coalition had no idea of this fact and they did split up and return to their own territories after a huge disappointment.

The very moment that the coalition got off of their property, Baron and the rest all went to go make sure that no other groups would be attacking them so soon. They needed some time to regroup and build up all of their defenses once more. The problem was, any general worth their salt knew that any state’s weakest point was directly after a huge attack. Needless to say, quite a few groups trying to prove their superiority showed up to take on Under 1 Banner. Some even forming coalitions, but nothing as big as the one that U1B had just repelled from their lands.

This pattern continued on for another month. Jaxon, Lu Mu, and Baron all went to go greet their visitors and show them the way out. They were all thankful that their biggest threat, the Wang Yi group, had not shown their faces yet. Otherwise, they would have been in much more trouble than they were in now. Over time, the number of enemies trying to get into Baron’s lands gradually decreased as word got out that it would be a death wish to get the reward. In this time, Guan Yu, and Yue Fei were able to build up their defenses up to their standard.

Now that most of the threat that was jeopardizing their existences were mostly gone, the U1B group was finally able to go out and conquer land for the first time that they had been here. They had all fought off the coalition with great effort, but a greater reward. During the raid at their capital base, they did not have to use all of their secret weapons. That meant that they still had a few surprises that they could show the next group who got that close. As soon as they fought off their first real challenge, they got another message from General Han of Ding Lai Hang who ran the Celestial Dragon group. The alliance was on.

The next few months were truly chaotic with Baron’s group fought their way westward while Ding Lai Hang’s group fought their way eastward.
