Chapter 239 Mad Dash For Training

Even if Jaxon was a prodigy when it came to aerial warfare, that did not mean he would be able to perform well in a team of people that he had never been together with. Heck, even Baron had no idea just how well he would work with his best friend as they had been separated for so long. The faction selection tournament was fast approaching and now that they had to incorporate 2 new strategists into their plans, they would need to work a lot harder than when they had the Meng duo with them. In a way, this new team that was under the leadership was far more powerful, but a lot more unstable. The chemistry between teammates was crucial. If even one person didn’t get along with the others, who knows what kind of incidents would occur when the pressure was high?

While Jaxon was working on getting all of his knowledge about planes out onto blueprints, Baron informed Lu Mu, Roxi, Guan Yu, and Yue Fei of the newest edition to the Under 1 Banner team, Jaxon. In the message, Baron explained that with Jaxon here, Roxi would be able to continue her work as an R&D specialist and that their team needed even more time than before to train properly as a team. Of course, all of the others knew how important it was to train and prepare for anything big so they had no complaints. Yue Fei and Guan Yu knew that anyone Baron recommended would be trustworthy. During this time, Jaxon spent countless hours producing blueprints that Baron would check over and be surprised at with every new one. In the end, Jaxon managed to make blueprints for nearly 300 different types of military aircraft, most of which were more useful than the P-38 Lightning that Baron had spent so much effort on gaining. He felt a little embarrassed at the fact.

After the one year break was up, Jaxon was finally able to meet Lu Mu, Yue Fei, and Guan Yu as these 3 had not returned since. Everyone was able to hit it off with Jaxon quite well as he had quite the caring attitude that made everyone attracted to him. With that out of the way, the 5 of them went into the simulations to test out their compatibilities with the new member. Baron had teamed up with his friend and went up against the other 3 without telling them anything about all of the knowledge that Jaxon had about this field.

Unsurprisingly, Guan Yu, Yue Fei, and Lu Mu were quite shocked to find out that Jaxon was capable of so many strategies of so many deployments of different military aircraft working all in tandem with each other in perfect synchronization. With this element of surprise, Baron and Jaxon were able to completely wipe the floor with their 3 unsuspecting teammates. Even Lu Mu, who was better than both the Meng duo was unable to do anything in front of the completely devastating tactics of Jaxon. One simulation after another, the 5 of them trained relentlessly for years.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

Baron knew that if they were able to keep Jaxon a secret from the Vesper faction, then they would have a high probability of winning the faction selection tournament. However, if they were overconfident in their approach, then they would surely regret it. Many years pass by and Jaxon was catching up on many records that he was behind on compared to his allies. He would watch through everything aerial warfare related and do so a couple of times so that he would be sure he did not miss anything.

Then, he would go back to training with his teammates in Under 1 Banner and overtime, he was able to develop a sort of comradery with these people. Previously, on his path to becoming a legend in the aerial field, he often thought about how lonely the path was and he would reminisce about the days that he would be together with Roxi and Baron. Now that he was reunited with them, he felt unstoppable. There was just a sense of purpose that he felt when he went into a simulation and absolutely dominated. However, after some time, he began to feel that his level of understanding of warfare elevated to a level that he would easily be able to take on all of his teammates at once.

And indeed that was the case. He took it upon himself to try it out once and see just how powerful he was compared to all of his teammates. The others agreed and it became a 1v4 simulation with Jaxon soloing all of his allies. He started off lite and gathered up his resources then once he deemed it was the best opportunity to strike, he continuously made sure his opponents were not able to do anything much less retaliate. It could be said that at this point, Baron knew just how powerful of an ally he had managed to secure. What luck.

After many more sessions, the time for the tournament was finally about to be up. With it, their shot at becoming an official faction. The true first step of leaving an impact in the Chinese community, and eventually, the scene for the entire Deathmatch tournament. For many reasons, one being that the Vesper faction made sure to fan the flames, was that the rumors surrounding the departure of the Meng duo from the Chinese community were bigger than it should have been. Nevertheless, there were multiple rumors going around just before the tournament that without this duo with them, Baron’s group would not be able to win the tournament against Wang Yi, Eumenes and William Bridges of the Yellow Wang faction.

Then, something happened just weeks before the tournament that would send ripples across the landscape. William Bridges left the Chinese community in a rush and no one knew why that was. Now, Wang Yi’s team would have to search for a new teammate and forego multiple years of training and team building in just a few weeks with their new recruit. Not a good thing for them.

Baron smiled as he knew that Han Xin, Xu Da, and Ban Chao were behind this.
