Chapter 22– Nature’s B*s*y!?

You would think, an arcane art name “Nature’s Bounty” would have something to do with food, or resources. Maybe even meant for using the Earth and nature to attack people. Yet I was sorely mistaken. For starters, Nature’s Bounty allowed one to shapeshift into any type of natural non-sentient creature i.e., trees, flowers, stones and minerals and non-magic beast animals like squirrels, birds and so on. It also allowed one to manipulate their actual physical appearance as long as they had a detailed and precise image of what they wanted to change.

All of that was fine and dandy until I reached the latter half of the tome. Here, talked about the effects of each spell and their drawbacks. But towards the end a message in bold words read:

BE AS ENDOWED AND VIRACIOUS AS A DRAGON!! (The fuck!!)

Long story short, the purpose of this arcane art is to have sex with anyone and anything, in particularly clover peach mandrakes. (This tome is magical Viagra!?) Still, it had its perks… I might need to blend in with my surroundings when running from a fight I can’t win… Or maybe while I’m hunting a very evasive monster…. Or if I need to scout out an area…. Putting the tome away, I began to analyze my week-long hunting session.

Given the monsters I faced are considered common in this country, the monsters here in the forest are at least 5 times stronger than their cousins outside this forest. With the fact I have been killing them like a butcher, it is safe to say I have the might of a peak Knight stage Battlemaster. My reasoning? Normal healthy manticore are tough monsters. It would usually require 10 normal Knight stage Battlemasters to kill the number of manticore I have under my belt in the same amount of time.

I mean… the magoi density in this forest being 100 times greater than other places manticore are typically found in Duxley. I estimate my power is placed between early and pinnacle peak Knight stage Battlemaster. Maybe even near those who are a step away from being a Blademaster stage as I’ve killed much stronger manticore by myself. Anyhow, this was not enough definitive information. so I pulled up my stats and thought about my attributes which brought up,

“Attributes: A numeric way to calculate one’s ability. In Ohmdorra, the average adult will have all stats save luck at 3 units upon reaching maturity. Place note depending on the individual, one may experience qualitative changes which are not represented by stat points.”

(Okay… where do I stand now?) With this knowledge I focused on my info again,

The average adult has 3 units in every stat save luck. That’s good to know. To some degree it explains why the average person can handle some areas but not the places with highly dense magoi concentration… I guess. Still, I could use a visual representation of that. (Is there a way to use that info and convert my stats?)

As if to respond to my inquiry, a message popped up followed by the stat window adjusted itself with a new break down,

  “Recalculating…Please wait…Recalculation complete.”

(Wow… This looks way better.) The modified display shifted in a way I’d know how much I’d compare to the average person. Meaning Knight stage Battlemasters are not that strong numbers wise, but make up for it with skills and experience. They may even have higher values in luck, good to know. Next, I continue tweaking the display until I finally got it the way I wanted,

This new window was less cumbersome to look at. Now with that taken care of, I decided to look at the new section Divine Myth. When I selected the option, a message appeared,

“Your Divine myth is incomplete and has not fully manifested itself. You may view your current myths, however, please note changes may occur the more or less you do.”

Okay… whatever the fuck is that supposed to means. I ignored the confusing message and check my 2 myths,

~Divine Myths~

* At the mortal age of 6 sols, the Godling (No name) broke through their mortal coil, obtaining life incorruptible.

* Amidst their transfiguration, the Godling (No name) gave birth to the guardian spirit of the ancestral lake, Shenlong whom the Godling tasked to protect the glade and summon the rains on all within the glade.

(What the hell is this? Are these bible verses? Please Lord!!! Do not strike me down for this!) I stopped looking at the myths and switched to my inventory. Before, I never paid much attention to the inventory. Now, I am studying it thoroughly as I need to know its limits. After about 15 minutes, I came to know the inventory allows me to have a total of 1000 items such as stone, straw, healing potion etc. With each Item, I can have a total quantity of 200 units. Meaning, I can carry up to 200,000 items! This is really game-like in mechanics. However, I am most certainly not complaining the mechanic of my new reality.

Putting everything related to the system aside, I decided my next course of action. For the rest of the day into the next week, I will focus on my magic training. Today, I have at least learned all my knowledge and practice in the inheritance realm needs to be adjusted to my new body.

Not wasting anymore time, I went outside of the cabin but stayed on the island. Here, I will refine my control over my body and magoi. I will not leave the island until I am confident enough to kill a group 3 manticore in 10 minutes, versus the 25 minutes it originally took.
