Do note that this isn't a game like situation coming to the real world, it just has game elements involved. There isn't any leveling or such. Also, there will be deaths of characters. Some you may like, some you won't. No one is safe, not even the MC. Just warning you before I start introducing new characters and such.

Chapter 4.2

Three days ago if I told you a new world including new towns, creatures you’ve never seen before and real magic could appear all in a matter of two days, would you believe me? What if I told you that we humans didn’t really understand how weak we really were before, would you believe me then? Hell, I wouldn’t believe it myself if someone told me that.

If I were you, I would hide. These creatures can’t die. We’ve tried everything we could, this is the end. God really has forsaken us, hasn’t he? Is this what we get for all the sins we’ve committed?

Watching the scene below, an older man with white hair sighed. His hands were behind his back as he looked down from the window.

“Mr. President, what should we do now?” A voice called out from behind the older man.

Turning his head around slowly the older man shook his head. “Nothing, there is nothing we can do. The end of the world is here and all hope is lost.”

A man who was in his late sixties clenched his fist as he glared at the president. “We can’t do nothing! Even if they’ve slaughtered us all or kidnapped some there has to be some hope. You can’t give up Mr. President.”

“Fool! If you think there was hope don’t you think we would have killed them all by now? We’ve tried everything, even missiles don’t work. Not one. Not one of those things have died from us yet, but do you know how many of us they have killed! Too many! Too many to count.”

“T-there’s one thing… we haven’t tried yet.”

“N-no, I won’t risk it.”

“It could be our only hope, think about it.”

The President was silent for a moment before he looked at the man with eyes full of resolution. “No matter the cost, even if only five of us survive. We’ll kill them all!”

Reaching into his desk, the president took out a black box that had a lock on it. He typed in some numbers and opened the box, showing a place for three keys to go inside. ‘To think, we would have to resort to this.’ He thought to himself as he glanced back up at the older man.

“Do you have the other two keys?”

The older man nodded his head and reached into his pocket, pulling out two silver keys. Handing it to the president, he sighed and knelt down. He already knew that with this, it truly was the end.

The president placed both keys inside the box and pulled out his own key. With all three keys inside, he turned them and the box made a clicking sound. Using his hands to open a secret compartment, a black remote appeared. Grabbing it he held it tight as he gritted his teeth.

‘I’m a failure as a president. To think I would have to end so many lives, just to hopefully keep a few.’ Slowly his finger pressed the red button in the middle and sirens went off all over.

“Darling has been released. I repeat Darling has been released. Please take cover in the bomb shelter. I repeat, please take cover in the bomb shelter.” A voice rang out in the room.

The older man who was kneeling down glanced up at the president. “M-mr. President… you should… take shelter.”

Shaking his head, he turned around and glanced out the window again. “I will not. If I take shelter while everyone else is in harms way, what kind of person would I be. I wanted to be the president, so I will act like one!”

‘Darling, the fate of humanity… rest in your hands.’

“T-3 till impact. I repeat T-3 till impact.”

Closing his eyes, tears streamed down as he regretted everything. Powerless. Helpless. Coward. He’s never felt this way before, but he knew he had let everyone in the nation down. ‘Marta, I wasn’t able to save you or our son, but if I can save only five people. As long as it’s at least five, I know that I was able to please you in the end. If Darling can’t kill them, then this world that we’ve been living in truly wasn’t meant for us.’

Slowly he opened his eyes and gazed outside. The ground shook hard as a smoke and a huge red light flew past in an instant. The president smiled as the red light and smoke went appeared closer to him. A second later, the president was gone, not even his ashes were left.

Adrian grabbed the gem in front of him, but noticed something strange. His white arms were now dark. It was as if he turned black. Not to mix it with the race, but literally the color black. ‘W-what is this!?’

He moved his head down and side to side looking at his body. It wasn’t his anymore, at least it wasn’t anything he remembered. “No, No, NOOO!!” Screaming his arms felt over his body as he shivered. He knew that he had changed, he just knew it. If he could change, he didn’t want to change into this.

Black skin that could cause fear in the eyes of a human. Underneath him he felt something strange that he never felt before. He stood up turned his head around and instantly knew what it was. A tail that was close to two feet in length. It was skinny with a shine to it, not to mention it had a pointed tip that seemed as if it could stab into anything. This thing that he was, he didn’t want to be it. It was the same thing that took his mother away.

He dropped down and slammed his fist against the ground causing a dent to appear. ‘Why? Why did it have to be this? Why!’

He was naked, but it didn’t matter he was enraged. Anyone who gave two fucks could just die. He calmed himself down a little, but the rage was still there. His hands were around the gem tight as he glanced at it.

The purple gem fit in his hand perfectly, and it also showed his reflection. Jet black hair that was longer than what he was use to. Golden colored eyes that could invoke fear in others. The thing that surprised him the most wasn’t his hair or eyes. It was the five horns on top of his head. One of each side of his ear, and three on his forehead.

He was no longer human. Instead he was something called an Xylan, a race he has never heard of before in any of the games he has played. He felt a surge of power in his veins, he felt like he could crush a mountain with his bare hands.

In his hand, he glared at the purple gem and thought of the person who did this to him. It was Everit. His rage suddenly exploded as his grip on the gem tightened even more until the gem shattered into pieces.

Ability unlocked. Notice, you can only gain one ability in your life. Every time you rank up your ability, you will unlock one of it’s new skills.

You’ve gained the Ability Sun/Moon Synthesis. Harness the power of the Sun and Moon to use as your own. While the sun is up you will be a tracker, but at night time you will become the hunter.

Ability - Sun/Moon Synthesis (Rank 1 0/10) Harness the power of the Sun and Moon to use as your own. While the sun is up you will be a tracker, but at night time you will become the hunter. Sun Skill Mapping - The sun reflects off a lot of things, and plants use it’s energy as their own. Using the Suns energy you are able to sense your surroundings and everything that's in it. Places or creatures can be marked as friend or foe, depending on your subconscious. Moon Skill Stealth - The moon hides that which doesn’t want to be seen. Using the Moons energy you gain a buff which lowers the rate at which others will notice your presence, while increasing your movement speed. If concentrated you can make your presence unknown even if a person was standing in front of you.

‘Didn’t think that was how you gained an ability, but I guess it works.’ Adrian noticed that the Moon skill was grayed out, so he figured he couldn’t use it right now since the moon wasn’t up. This wasn’t some virtual reality game where you could turn on and off skills. The skills he had also didn’t use any mana of the sort.

He could sense it, the small ants on the ground, the way the grass moves slowly. He could even sense the birds that were flying in the sky. It was a strange feeling to get use to, but he would adapt. He had to. His planet wasn’t his anymore, he didn’t know what to expect in this new world. Him without a family or friends. It was strange being all alone, but it could have been worse.

His heart grew cold without him even knowing it. Losing so much in so little time can change a person. I wonder what changes it will have on him.

Adrian got up from the ground and started walking, his footsteps were light so hardly any sound was heard. This new body he had felt amazing, but he still didn’t like the fact that he was one of those things.

Grinning, he sensed something. He didn’t know what race this was because it certainly wasn’t human, but he was attracted to it. He could instantly tell that there were ten of them in the direction he was headed. Who knew what strange thoughts he was having, but I doubt it could be anything good.
