Chapter 4.1
It seemed like a dream to him. The more he thought about it, the more he knew it had to be a dream. Was this a dream he would wake from was the question. However deep down inside, he was afraid the answer would be no.
It was as if he was a spirit that was able to freely move about without anyone noticing him. Except, he couldn’t actually move, but he could see. He wasn’t able to talk to anyone, because no one could hear him. The only thing he could do was watch, as the events unfolded before his very eyes.
Thinking about it, he recalled what happened almost a day ago. Or was it really a day? He couldn’t tell time in this new world, it seemed like the days were longer than what he was use to. When he tried to check his phone, he realized it was nothing but a black screen.
He was watching the woman in front of him as she came to his side. She moved his body so that his head laid on her lap, as she bent over and cried. It was painful for him to watch, but he could do nothing else. He didn’t feel anything in his current state, even though tears were landing all over his face.
The gorgeous woman was his mother. She was wearing a black suit that matched her black hair perfectly. The suit of course had some stains on it now because of where they were, but she didn’t mind. He wanted to hold his mother and tell her everything would be alright, but he couldn’t.
She lifted herself up as she wiped the tears from her face and looked up into the sky. Placing her hands together she closed her eyes as she began to pray.
Truly he didn’t know how this happened, but he knew that he didn’t like it at all. Everything that started happening was because of him. If he never called his dad that day, maybe things wouldn’t have turned out the way they did. Maybe if he never got detention, things could have been better.
Self-blame. That's what he began to do. He blamed himself for everything that happened so far, if it wasn’t for him then none of this would have happened. If this never happened his mother would never be in this state.
The usual strong woman who he adored was now like a little girl lost about, waiting for someone to save her. He felt like crying, like screaming and cursing, but he couldn’t do anything.
‘New world? What a load of bullshit!’ He cursed. This new world was hell to his mother, she lost her husband and now she thought she lost her son.
When they arrived in this dense forest, he told her they would find somewhere to stay so she could sleep. Due to the cast on his leg they weren’t moving at a fast pace, but she didn’t say anything and kept smiling along the way. Taking breaks here and there, it seemed like they traveled for the whole day. He told her that he was sorry that they didn’t find anywhere to stay for tonight.
She said it was alright and maybe they would find somewhere tomorrow morning. Together they slept in the forest under the starry night. He watched over her as she fell asleep and thought about how he could have done better. ‘A king huh?’ He thought as he gazed down at her. ‘If it means she’ll live happy, then i’ll become your damn king.’
Time passed as he felt his eyelids feeling heavy. He fought to keep them open, but failed. As he closed his eyes, a voice rang out in his head.
“Hibernation begins.”
‘Hibernation? Hibernation for what?’
In such a state, he found that he could see still and talk. When he tried to move, it failed and he realized he must be dreaming. Hours passed by and his mother awoke, she tried to wake him up but it failed.
“Mom, i’m here.” He said, but gained no response.
“Mom! Mom!” He yelled, trying to garner her attention.
He watched her as she tried to do everything she could to wake him up, but she ultimately failed. She was filled with shock as she mummered some words. He could make it out, she said, “D-dead?”
Seconds passed, then minutes, and then an hour. His mother walked off slowly, but came back shortly after.
“How much longer?” He asked himself thinking he would get an answer.
He wasn’t dead, but how could he tell his mother that. ‘Think Adrian, think.’ “Ugh, fuck!” Screaming didn’t help, but it let him get his emotions out of the way. He was suddenly scared, as he watched his mom snap her head towards the south.
“What’s going on?”

She placed his head down slowly as she got up and walked towards a thick tree. She hid behind it as she peeked out from the side staring south. She suddenly jerked back as she covered her mouth and crouched down.
“What the hell is going on!? Someone answer me!!” Adrian yelled as loudly as he could.
Did the animals in this forest notice his yell? They scattered in every direction as they ran away. The birds high up flew away as if they knew something was coming. Adrian was helpless in such a situation.
His mother got down on her knees and started crawling to him slowly. It seemed like she tried not to make a sound, as if something was out there.
The tree she just left from burst into tiny pieces. She was scared out of her mind that her body froze where it was.
“What was that? Mom, keep moving!”
Behind his mother appeared a creature that was as tall as him. It had dark skin, pointy ears, and a tail. Adrian thought it was a fantasy creature from some video games he has played called a dark elf. However he instantly got rid of that idea once he noticed the tail behind it.
‘The devil!?’
It was clearly a woman. Short black hair that came to her neck and red eyes. This being didn’t have any clothes on so Adrian could see every inch of her body. Except for the tail and ears, she almost looked human. This woman was hot, and if he could control his body he would surely get a reaction from his lower half. Her breast weren’t as big as the models he was interested in, but they were a decent size.
Her black tail with a pointed tip lashed out at Adrian’s mother and wrapped itself around her neck. The woman’s eyes seemed void of any emotions as she glanced at Adrian’s body.
“Don’t!” Adrian screamed out as he watched the tail seem tighten around his mother's neck as she struggled against it.
His mother's arms slowly dangled down by her side and her eyes closed. The woman glared at Adrian’s body and stomped her foot in annoyance as she dragged Adrian’s mother away.
“Ahhh!” Yelling out all his frustration, he really felt like punching something or someone.
“I’ll murder you!”
‘Why! Why me? What the hell did I do to deserve such a life!?’ Adrian felt weak and helpless. First he had to deal with his school problems, then his father died, his close friend, and now his mother is dead for all he knows!
Calming himself down, he stared at the spot his mother was just at. His eyes never left that spot, and all he knew was that days passed by. Day turned into night, and night turned into day. The earth rumbled a few more times, but Adrian didn’t feel anything. He was dead inside, his family was dead and so was his friend. All he could do was stare at that same spot where his mother last was and wait until his body became his own again.

A smirk appeared on Adrian’s face. ‘King? Fuck you Everit. If I find you, I will kill you.’
