Chapter 5 : The Boring Mary-Sue One

Chapter 5 : The Boring Mary-Sue One

-          “I stand.

We stand.

Bravery above heart. Heart above Sword. Sword above Karma.

My power overflows.

It hurts, but I cannot deny my duty.

My family stands, right at my back !

Cornered, facing the abyss at one side, and the ten-thousand strong army of Rudos at the other.

Between my loved ones and this army, only me.

No. No more.

They stand with me to.

Derick, Marcus, Phillip. The Charming, the Reliable, the Strong.

The three who married me. The three I embraced with my love.

Derick, who had lost the will to live.

Marcus, who despised me at first for picking Derick, but then came around and accepted to be my second husband.

And Phillip, who shared my bed in an ecstasy night I can't ever forget. Phillip, who was my first. Who decided to devote himself to become capable of protecting me. Who accepted to become the third husband.

Derick, the one supporting my back.

Marcus, the shield witch will always protect me.

Phillip, who became my left hand.

Behind us are the fruits of our love. The children I have given them.

So we fight.

Bleeding, we fight.

Sweating, we fight.

And then we die and you take my only daughter with you. Is that the plan, your filthy necromancer ? ”

The young lady talked clearly, standing tall in front of the army. Three men at her sides. Four children in the back.

In front of her, clearly, an army ten-thousand strong. But between that army and the young lady, a man clad totally in black.

A horrifying men. His body hid by a dense black leather robe. His face full of scars of disease. His eyes murky and, yet, brimming with anger. His awful mouth curled in a smile of contempt.

-  “Yes, little hero-chan. This is where all of you die, and that daughter of yours become mine….”.

Hero-chan was calm, however. This made the necromancer a little shocked. A trace of fear ran through his eyes. Could it be…. ?

Hero-Chan smiled.

-  “Such a shame for you that Iruri-sensei taught me fate magic already.”

The necromancer´s eyes became bloodshot and his mouth opened.A shout full of saliva, full of unrestrained anger. The necromancer couldn't believe. He didn't want to believe.

But that was how Hero-Chan was.

To reach the highest degree of magic in the world.

Fate Magic.

To be able to learn it from such a mysterious person as the Goddess of all Blessed Creation, Iruri of Light.

To be able to surpass the goddess, and make a mixed magic. Fate Magic and Reverse Magic.

Those two together became the foundations to the highest possible magic. Magic which could change not only fate, but also the whole universe.

Magic which made something [Impossible to Happen].

[Law of The World.]

Such magic was used and a new Law was script into the World´s Thread.

No matter where. No matter how.

The events described by Hero-Chan would be impossible to happen.  From that point onwards, it would be impossible to split the party.

It would be impossible to kill them.

It would be impossible to take Hero-Chan's daughter.

The Necromancer howled, hoping that the magic's casting time wasn't complete yet.

- “ATTACK! ALL ATTACK!”

Magic. Arrows. Swords. Axes. Fists.

They were showered by all of that.

Yet, the party didn't even needed to rely at that magic at the moment.

Hero-Chan would deflect the magic naturally, since she couldn't be harmed by any kind of magic in the world.

The arrows se would destroy with quick movements from her bow. Slowing time with the strength of her thought, over fifty thousand arrows where split in half and deviated from it's trajectories by Hero-Chan alone.

Swords, Axes, Fists, Spears. Physical attacks wouldn't ever go through Marcus Supreme Defense. He had learned the moves from future Hero-Chan, after all.

The magic wasn't for nothing like that.

The magic wasn't even for defeating the enemies, since all of the army was down by the eventide.

Hero-Chan breathed heavily, and her companions where almost in the verge of exhaustion.

She could see their stamina meters with her Eyes of Truth. They would collapse at any moment now.

She, herself, had only half of her stamina remaining.

-  “Give up now, necromancer! There is no way you can do your bidding by midnight. The evil goddess won´t be brought to this world.”

Phillip talked with his loud, manly voice.

Marcus frowned, but remained silent.

Derick smiled a bitter smile in his face full of doubts.

Only Hero-Chan was composed still.

-     “Ha…. Hahahahahha, you surely think so, don't you Philly ? That i will stop my vengeance only because i cannot take that [Lamb of Sacrifice] back.....”

Phillip was shocked. How could the necromancer know his real name?

-    “As I though…. You…. Necromancer, your real name…. you are Sylphine!”

As Hero-Chan said those words, each person around her reacted differently.

Derick lost the little courage he still had, and started trembling.

Phillip made a dumbfolded look and  held his sword painfully.

Marcus became bitter-faced.

Behind then, the children reacted to the name…. “aunt Sylphine is here ?”. Pain cursed through the hearts of the adult's.

Sylphine.

Hero-Chan's childhood friend.

She grew up side-by-side with Hero-Chan. They fought together. Bathed together. They were best friends.

Soon the illusion spell was dissipated, and Sylphine's face was shown.

She looked old.

The beautiful Sylphine, who once swayed his heart and mind, and almost made him cheat Hero-Chan. Derick felt as if his feet froze.

The once pure and lovable Sylphine, who shared Phillip´s bed for two years before leaving him to die with a dagger in his chest.

The drinking buddy Sylphine, who used to laught side by side with Marcus.

The Sylphine who should be the same age as Hero-Chan.

Her skin was pale and looked sick. Her eyes where deep as if she hadn´t slept for many days. The once beautiful mouth and eyes showed signs of someone at least thirty years older.

- “As I though… after defeating the army which I used as a mana pool, my illusion became too weak to go against this Eye of Truth of yours”.

- “Sylphine-san, i….”

- “SHUT UP ! YOU ! YOU WHO TOOK EVERYTHING FROM ME ! MY HOUSE, MY LIFE, EVEN MY MAN ! I WILL KILL YOU !”

Hero-Chan put her bow down.

-  “No, Sylphine-san. I will not fight you.”

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

Sylphine's eyes shone with madness. With pure obsession. She leaned her body forward, a tense face.

-   “THEN I WILL JUST KILL YOU !”

The staff in her hands changed into a round, polished, purple-dark stone.

-  “Suicide Magic stone ! It is powerful ! The most powerful I have ever seen ! Behind me everyone, NOW !”

Marcus shouted, but Hero-Chan was already running towards Sylphine.

She wouldn't let her friend die that way.

She couldn't. She wouldn't.

Hero-Chan ran.

But it was too late.

The magic stone activated.

A flash of light, thunder, lightining.

Sylphine's body was hanging in the air, the stone between her hands. Behind her, the blackened feathers.

The feathers of suicide.

The feathers of ultimate power.

Sylphine's sould would be consumed by those. Her body was already covered in blood.

One by one, the corpses around the abyss, those of the defeated army, started to be scattered in the form of particles of light.

The specialty of a necromancer is summoning.

With the sacrifice of 10.000 bodies and souls, as well as her's own, Sylphine the Necromancer opened a portal.

And from the portal came a terrifying horde.

The Arch-Demon Satan.

The Arch-Devil Lucifer.

The Elder Abyssalin, Leviathan.

And him, the fourth lord of hell, the supreme existence.

Demond Lord Ghuy, Father of Demons.

Hero-Chan had story with them.

She fought them. She won against them.

Satan was a brute, and she won with her sheer strength.

Lucifer was the lord of intrigue, and she won with her social skills.

Leviathan was the Seducing Immortal, and for a little time, he had her heart. She won with the force of love. Love from the ones she called family.

And then, Demon Lord Ghuy. The one who tried to force himself on her.

The one who drove her to humiliation and pain.

The one who kidnaped her children. The one who said he would make them watch.

This one she won against by the means of a powerful banishment spell, sung by Goddess of Light herself.

It was her trumph card at the time, and she couldn't do anything like that anymore.

Sylphine seemed to rejoice, but her face soon became one of pure pain, as knowledge from the Magic Stone poured into her brain. As she became able to see in the far past, and in the near future.

She couldn't let go of the stone anymore. Once activated, it won't stop untill all of her life is consumed.

But Hero-Chan advanced forward.

The battle was intense.

Derick was made unconscious.

Phillip was made to recall all of his mistakes, and fell to the ground as his painful memories where revisited, over and over again.

Marcus resisted as much as he could, but even he couldn't suppress the mighty of Ghuy.

Hero-Chan looked at her stamina bar. It was empty.

Her health decreased steadily.

Her mana pool was also empty.

Hero-Chan's spirit almost broke.

But then, she looked up. She looked at Sylphine.

The darkened body. It was all skin and bones.

The pain-filled face.

Sylphine seemed so distant.

She wasn't enjoying herself.

Her face… it was full of regret. It was full of longing.

Hero-Chan's spirit relit.

She looked up.

-   “Sylphine….. I WILL SAVE YOU !”

Hero-Chan unequipped her armor.

She dropped her bow to the ground.

She gave up on everything. She became fragile. A single hit and she would die.

And then she prayed to the Light Goddess Creator, as she focused on speed.

Running towards Sylphine.

Ignoring the rampaging Demons.

Fending of attacks.

Avoiding.

Evading.

She had trained for that.

She had perfected herself.

For many months, years, decades even.

Everyday, 20 hours a day she would spent in the VRMMORPG Cross Lavine.

A place where someone could die at any moment, dying also in the real world.

A place which wasn't a game, but in reality “another dimension”.

A place someone's conscience could travel to, by means of the VR System.

A mysterious place, which had already affected the real world and proven that it wasn't the only world in the universe.

In that place, Hero-Chan surpassed everything.

In Cross Lavine, Hero-Chan's hair started turning white.

In the real world, her vitals weakened.

She was consuming her life force of two different worlds.

But she reached Sylphine. And took the magic stone from her hands.

The wings splited.

Hero-Chan with a single white-feathered wing.

Sylphine-Chan with a single dark-feathered wing.

The impossible condition known as “Cross Lavine” formed.

And like this all pain subsided. All demons disappeared.

...

Hero-Chan took Sylphine's head on her lap.

Sylphine looked at Hero-Chan.

She cried.

It was all a misunderstandment.

It was all  a mistake.

Things she though where the truth, but where actualy her own fantasies.

Deals she made, with awful people.

Crimes she commited, because she couldn't deal with her own negative feelings.

It was all life. The pain of living. Of growing.

Sylphine talked with a coarse voice.

-    “Hero…. Chan”.

-    “You can call me Onee-san.”

-   “Watashi ne, Suri Onee-san….. Watahi… ne..”

-  “I forgive you…. Imoto…”

And this is what I am watching as I go to the storage room to talk to Ariete-San.

You see, I am a multiverse, so there's plenty of worlds inside me with interesting stories like this. From time to time I even take people or objects from this worlds and bring to this SSS-Multiverse I am inside now. This “Multiverse School”.

Oh, by the way, Dumbshit here !

It seems I have a lot of explanations to do, but, please, wait a bit.

I want to see the final of this story and present it to Ariete-San. Maybe she will like me a bit more if i show the potential to become a "Compassionate Hero Multiverse", right ? But maybe it would be better to bully the hero a bit, since Ariete-San likes more the anti-vilain or even the vilain types....

 - "Ooooy, Ariete-san ! Let's go bully some......."

Ah…. It's…. Lilin… Lilin-Sama……
