Chapter 21 Taming the "Cat"

Chapter 21 Taming the "Cat"

"Lord Abbot." Muria called out to the cloud giant leader hidden not far away.

"Your Highness Muria." The towering giant with a staff in hand pushed aside the bushes in front of him and approached the ferocious bear trembling beside Muria.

"Heal this bear." Muria pointed to the ferocious bear at his feet, whose nose was bleeding profusely and whose nose seemed to have been broken by him.

"Yes, Your Highness." Upon hearing Muria's words, Lord Abbot immediately began casting healing spells on the ferocious bear.

Yes, this seemingly sturdy cloud giant leader was actually a spellcaster. However, he was not a wizard but a warlock who cast spells using the power of his bloodline. Although his choice of spells was limited, his casting speed was faster.

If anyone foolishly treated this giant warlock as a human wizard vulnerable to melee attacks, they would soon experience the power of a giant up close. Of course, any creature with intelligence would not underestimate the power of these giant spellcasters when they saw their imposing figures.

A healing spell, whose level and type Muria couldn't discern, was cast by Lord Abbot, almost instantaneously.

The azure magical light fell on the bear's nose, causing the aggrieved creature to emit a comfortable groan. The injury on its nose quickly began to heal.

Muria sighed helplessly, realizing that human thought patterns had always influenced him, making his previous behavior seem ridiculous. He still hadn't fully adapted to his current identity.

"Commander Bordon, go find me another ferocious beast. I want something stronger." Muria turned to Commander Bordon and ordered. He wanted to have a thorough understanding of his own strength in battle.

So, once again, the cloud giants dispersed under Muria's orders to search for their targets...

"Boom!" Muria casually threw a shoulder throw, slamming a ferocious gorilla nearly nine meters tall to the ground, as it struggled to get up dazedly.

Muria rushed forward with another step, delivering a beautiful uppercut, causing the ugly gorilla's head to tilt upward, spewing several bloody yellow teeth from its mouth.

Then, the ferocious gorilla fell backwards, knocked unconscious by Muria.

"Abbot, heal him." Muria pointed to the gorilla he had beaten so badly, compensating for the poor creature.

So far, Muria had challenged four silver-level ferocious beasts, or more accurately, he had unilaterally beaten four ferocious beasts.

This gorilla was the second silver fifth-level ferocious beast he had challenged. This time, it was his last, because Muria was now completely sure what his strength represented at the silver level.

"Although I'm only at the third level of silver now, my strength, speed, and defense far surpass those of silver-level ferocious beasts. Fighting them is simply crushing, meaningless." Muria raised his hand, looking at the tender and seemingly fragile skin, yet with this hand, he could easily overturn any ferocious beast. No animal could match his strength; even the ferocious elephant he had challenged before was no exception.

"Titans, and golden dragons, such powerful and terrifying creatures." Muria smiled contentedly. "I've just left infancy and already possess such great power. How strong will I be when I'm an adult?"

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

"Your Highness Muria, a ferocious snake has been found." A cloud giant guard reported to him.

"No need. Inform all the cloud giants to search for golden-level monsters for me. Fighting silver-level ferocious animals is already a waste of time for me." Muria ordered.

"Yes, Your Highness." The admiration of the cloud giant guards was evident. Muria's words were clear; he wanted to challenge monsters of a higher level.

"Your Highness Muria, is it too early to challenge golden-level monsters now?" Abbot, who had just finished treating the ferocious gorilla, frowned slightly and advised.

"I came here to practice combat skills, but I can easily overpower silver fifth-level ferocious beasts with just my strength alone. In this situation, combat skills are not necessary." Muria frowned at Abbot, the giant leader who he completely relied on as a medic. All the ferocious beasts he had beaten were treated by Abbot.

"But, Your Highness Muria, golden-level beasts are completely different from silver-level ones. They may be stronger than you imagine." Abbot advised discreetly.

"How strong?" Muria, who had become fascinated by his own strength, asked eagerly.

"... " At this point, Abbot didn't know how to answer because he didn't know how to describe the strength of golden-level beasts. For titans and golden dragons, golden-level was just a transitional stage in their life journey. Saying that creatures of this level were powerful to Muria would be a joke.

"Your Highness, I heard you want to challenge a golden-level monster?" Commander Bordon, the cloud giant leader holding a hammer, strode over, smiling and praising generously, "Truly worthy of being a Titan's son. Your bravery astonishes even the gods in the sky."

"Bordon, I don't need the praise of the gods in the sky. Right now, I just need a golden-level monster. Have you found it?" Muria was indifferent to Bordon's praise; he had no respect for the gods in this world.

"It's already been found, Your Highness. It's a saber-toothed tiger."

"Where is it?" Muria was delighted.

...Never treat others as fools, or you'll end up being the fool.

Now, Muria felt like a fool. Elerasia had many intelligent races, and even beasts had high intelligence. Some powerful beasts had intelligence no lower than humans.

But, this 'no lower than humans' itself was the problem. People varied in intelligence, so what standard of human intelligence did the intelligence of this beast match?

Muria had always thought that these powerful beasts had intelligence comparable to some ordinary humans. But that was it; they couldn't be any smarter.

However, now Muria found that he had underestimated the intelligence described in the book as "no lower than humans."

Led by Commander Bordon, Muria found the golden-level saber-toothed tiger.

It was a majestic large feline, lazily lying by a spring. Excluding its tail, its body was nearly ten meters long, and its snow-white fangs on both sides of its mouth gave it a natural aura of a forest king.

But just as Muria was secretly admiring the appearance of this saber-toothed tiger, the "king of the forest" stood up upon seeing Muria's arrival and carefully sniffed the air.

Then, with astonishing agility, it came to Muria's side. None of the cloud giant guards, including the two giant leaders, could stop it.

Just as the enraged cloud giants were about to launch an attack, the saber-toothed tiger rubbed its body against Muria, shocking the cloud giants' eyes.

Without any shame, the big cat lay down on the ground, exposing its belly to Muria. This series of familiar actions left Muria stunned for a long time.

"Is it... being affectionate with me?!" Muria looked uncertainly at the two giant leaders. This set of actions was all too familiar to him.

"...Yes, Your Highness." Abbot hesitated for a moment and said in a dry voice.

"I've never seen such... intelligent behavior before..." Bordon lowered his head and saw Muria looking down at the saber-toothed tiger, so he quickly changed his words, "from such a clever saber-toothed tiger."

"Isn't this a golden-level creature? Doesn't the book say that creatures of this level are difficult to tame?" Muria looked incredulously at the saber-toothed tiger still cuddling up to him.

"Difficult to tame, that's for other races, not for the Titans." Abbot thought for a moment and said, "I suppose this saber-toothed tiger has already sensed the Titan aura on Your Highness."

"You're quite savvy, big cat." Muria squatted down, looking at the saber-toothed tiger. "I know you can understand what I'm saying. Can you fight me?"

The saber-toothed tiger looked innocently at Muria and rubbed its head against him, just like a well-behaved big cat.

"Are you worried about my Titan bloodline? It's okay; even if you scratch me, no one will bother you. Let's have a good fight!"

However, the saber-toothed tiger still showed no reaction and had no intention of fighting.

"You coward, are you really a golden-level creature? Why are you so timid?!" Muria angrily placed his hand on the tiger's head and started petting the "cat".

But in the direction Muria couldn't see, the saber-toothed tiger rolled its eyes extremely humanly.

However, after rolling its eyes, it turned to face Muria again. With its entire body being petted by Muria, the furry face of the saber-toothed tiger showed a very comfortable expression.

"Commander Abbot, Commander Bordon, what should I do?" Muria asked while petting the "cat" and looking up. "I can't beat silver-level creatures, and golden-level ferocious animals don't even want to fight me."

"Your Highness, if you want to hone your martial skills but find silver-level too weak, there is another way." Abbot hesitated for a moment. "Each of us cloud giants is willing to be your sparring partner. In fact, any giant on the island would be willing."

"Is that so? Then I have no choice." Muria nodded helplessly. It seemed that he could only rely on the giants to hone his martial skills. But the effect of this was really hard to say.

Because of Muria's concerns about the giants' attitudes towards him, he felt that no matter how strong each giant was, they would all "lose" to him.

It was because of this concern that Muria sought out ferocious beasts that would attack him without hesitation. But unexpectedly, even beasts at the golden level could be so sneaky.
