Six pairs of eyes, Murray could feel the deep malice contained in several of those gazes.
"Leinata, come here." Ignoring those hostile stares, Murray smiled, crouching down and beckoning to the young female dragon, Leinata.
Leinata glanced at her older brothers and sisters, hesitated for a moment, then stepped forward and walked towards Murray.
"Such a good girl." Murray lifted Leinata up, holding her in his arms, then stood up.
"Roar!" Seeing Murray's actions, the dragon hatchling, Auston, let out a low growl. Just as he took a step forward, he froze. He turned his head and saw that his tail was being stepped on by his sister, Cynthia.
"Patience, Auston. It's not the time yet," Cynthia said in a low voice in Dragonic.
Auston looked up at Murray, who was holding Leinata and stroking her, then turned his head away and lay down on the ground, closing his eyes to ignore everything.
"You're quite patient," Murray said, looking at Auston sleeping on the ground. He gently put the shy Leinata down and turned towards the direction of the library. "I can't play around forever; I don't have much time left."
As Murray's figure disappeared from the dragon hatchlings' sight, Auston, who had been pretending to sleep, and the other four hatchlings quickly surrounded Leinata, who had just landed.
"It feels so comfortable being touched by that bastard, my dear sister," Auston said unkindly, looking at Leinata. It seemed that if Leinata didn't provide a reasonable explanation, he wouldn't mind attacking his own sister.
"N-no," Leinata said, shrinking back when she saw her siblings surrounding her.
"Then why did you run up as soon as you heard Murray's call?" the dragon hatchling Andrei asked.
"I... I'm afraid of pain. If I don't listen to him, maybe Murray will use lightning on me," Leinata hesitated for a moment and said.
Upon hearing this answer, the dragon hatchlings looked at each other in silence for a while. This answer was flawless, but they were not convinced.
"Leinata, remember this: Murray is just a bastard who bullies us because he's eight years older than us. He's just a mixed-blood with disgusting gold dragon blood," Auston cursed Murray fiercely. After spending a long time together, the dragon hatchlings also learned Murray's true identity. He wasn't a gold dragon.
"My elder brother, I have to remind you of a fact," Jessica said to her brother seriously. "Although Murray only has half the blood of a gold dragon, the other half of his blood is not lowly. It comes from the Titans who control the power of thunder and storms. They are a race nobler than even us red dragons."
"So, Murray's blood is much nobler than yours," Cynthia concluded.
"Hmph, even so, it doesn't change the fact that he's a mixed-blood. He doesn't even have the most basic dragon form. It shows that his dragon blood has been suppressed to what extent," Auston retorted. This time, he didn't call Murray a bastard. Even an evil dragon would show basic respect for Titans with powerful abilities.

"What if, when we reach the young dragon stage, we still can't beat Murray together?" Albert asked with some concern. "After all, Murray's lineage is really strong."
"It's impossible. That bastard Murray is just bullying us with his age advantage. If we're in the same age group, I won't be weaker than him, absolutely," Auston said fiercely, patting the ground with his claws.
"Don't dream, Auston," Cynthia said disdainfully. "When Murray's mother came here that day, you all felt it, didn't you? That was the legendary aura. What does that mean? It means that Murray is not just an ordinary gold dragon. With the blood of the Titans, his bloodline is far superior to a mere gold dragon's."
"At the same age, in a one-on-one battle, you're definitely not Murray's match," Jessica concluded this time.
"Bastards, do you dare to look down on me?" Hearing this, Auston became furious, standing up straight. "Do you want to see my power?"
"We're just stating the facts, Auston," Cynthia and Jessica stood up straight, looking at Auston without fear. "Just because you were born a few seconds earlier, we'll call you elder brother. You're not much stronger than us."
Seeing this tense atmosphere, Andrei and Albert looked at each other, eager to try, seemingly ready for a big brawl. This was the red dragons, advocating violence, the evil dragons.
"Aren't you discussing how to resist Murray? Why are you about to fight?" On the side, the little dragon Leinata asked weakly.
At this question, the dragon hatchlings froze for a moment, and the atmosphere suddenly eased.
"Anyway, before we enter the young dragon stage, no one can provoke Murray. After we enter the dragon stage, no single combat is allowed. The six of us dragons will challenge Murray together, striving to defeat him with unity," Cynthia finally set the result of this discussion.
"Um, I want to ask, what if... what if we win against Murray?" Once again, Leinata asked weakly.
"Of course, we'll kill him, gnaw on his flesh, and drink his blood," Auston said impatiently.
"Auston, are you brainless? If you want to die, don't involve us," Cynthia yelled at Auston. "Have you ever thought about where we are? This is Murray's mother, the legendary gold dragon's castle!"
"Look at this castle. Our room here is built with magic crystals. Just think about it, how strong must Murray's mother be? If we kill him, our fate will definitely be worse than death," Jessica also shouted angrily at Auston.
In the dragon world view, whether good dragons or evil dragons, their strength was directly proportional to their size. But for ancient dragons, there was another standard to measure their strength: the wealth they possessed. The richer the dragon, the stronger it was. This was a recognized truth among dragons.
"We can't kill him. What should we do then? What's the point of challenging Murray?" Auston was very annoyed.
"We negotiate with him, demanding equal treatment as true dragons, providing enough food for our growth, and most importantly, not treating us as his pets," Cynthia said firmly.
"And one more thing, we need to be regularly supplied with gold," the dragon hatchling Albert added excitedly.
"No, not just gold, but also jewels, weapons..." Albert started, and the other dragon hatchlings fell into fantasy about what to do after defeating Murray.
"Uh, what if... what if we lose?" For the third time, the little dragon Leinata raised her claw weakly.
... The atmosphere was heated, the discussion was intense, but the five dragon hatchlings fell silent all of a sudden. Finally, Cynthia angrily roared at Leinata, "Leinata, shut up! You're not allowed to speak during our discussions from now on."
...
In the library, Murray took the form of a recently weaned human baby, standing before a floating spellbook.
Level 0 spell: Mage Hand.
"Mage Hand might be a bit of a joke in combat, but as a utility, it's surprisingly useful," Murray muttered, recalling the data for the 1st-level spell, Lesser Fireball, from the spellbook.
After jotting down the information, Murray began constructing the spell model in his mental sea. If he failed, he simply tried again, ignoring the slight mental strain that came with each failure.
"Alright, successful. Let's give it a try." Murray watched as a small crystal model of the spell formed in his mental sea. He then infused it with his mental energy, triggering the magic within his body.
"Whoosh!" A crimson fireball, nearly a meter in diameter, appeared before him. This "Lesser Fireball" was far larger than typical for a 1st-level spell, sure to surprise many novice mages.
"Bloodline amplification," Murray murmured. He wasn't particularly surprised; after all, he had half of a dragon's fire bloodline. And it wasn't the first time his spells had exceeded their usual power level after being cast.
Today, Murray made up his mind to stop being idle. The growing sense of unease in his heart, stemming from the six dragon hatchlings raised by the Golden Dragoness, became stronger.
For Murray, it was clear what the Golden Dragoness's intention was. So when the six hatchlings began to rebel and attack him, he had a premonition that he would have no one to rely on. No one in the castle would help him; he would have to rely on himself.
To enhance his combat capabilities, Murray decided to study magic. He planned to memorize spells from level 0 to level 4 and construct them all in his mental sea.
Just now, Murray successfully constructed a 1st-level spell, Lesser Shock Orb, from the Elementalist school. After triggering it, a lightning orb nearly a meter in diameter hovered silently before him, leaving Murray stunned for quite some time.
Then, Murray found the answer in his inherited memories. Beings with powerful bloodlines naturally possessed similar magical abilities without the need for study. So when they actively learned spells related to their bloodline powers, the effects of those spells were naturally enhanced.
"What's this?" Murray looked at the spellbook that silently floated in front of him and chuckled. "Ventriloquism? Is this for mute mages? Take it away."
The invisible servant made no response, silently placing the spellbook back in its original place.
"Magic Missile, not bad. I can work with this." Murray's eyes lit up as he examined another spellbook brought by the invisible servant.
