Night soon fell. Hendrix had spent the entire day at Nivis Villa. He hadn't expected Noelle to be out for so long, even into the night without returning. The messages he sent went unanswered, disappearing into the void.noveldrama
So, what was this supposed to mean? Was she planning to stay out all night?
And this was only their second day of marriage!
Hendrix almost called her to demand an explanation, but the thought of himself sounding like some powerless, raging husband stopped him.
In the end, he put down his phone. He had a blank expression as he stared at the clock in the corner of his computer screen.
Before midnight struck, Noelle finally came home.
Hearing the sound of the engine, Hendrix instinctively wanted to get up, but he quickly sat back down, his expression unreadable as he resumed browsing through his emails. He remained in the study, not even bothering to close the door.
When Noelle came upstairs, she didn't even glance in his direction. Instead, she walked straight past his room. As she reached the door to the small guest room, something seemed to cross her mind. She turned around and headed toward the master bedroom.
In this brief moment, she passed by Hendrix's room twice yet still didn't so much as glance his way. Finally, Hendrix couldn't hold back anymore. "Noelle," he called out.
Hearing his voice, Noelle stopped in her tracks and turned to look at him.
The moment their eyes met, Hendrix noticed something. "You've been drinking?"
"Do you need something?" Her eyes seemed hazy, but her tone remained calm and composed. Hendrix lowered his eyes. "Did you go out drinking with Dyan?"
"Do you need something?" Noelle asked again.
Hendrix remained silent.
Seeing that he had nothing else to say, Noelle couldn't be bothered to continue dealing with him and turned to leave.
However, in the next moment, Hendrix closed the distance in a few quick strides and scooped her up entirely. The sudden motion startled Noelle. She instinctively pushed against him with all her might, but with the alcohol in her system, her arms felt weak and powerless. Ultimately, she gave up resisting and let him have his way.
Hendrix carried her straight to the bathroom. Before Noelle could even steady herself, the cold spray from the showerhead hit her.
Though it was still summer, the unexpected chill of the water shocked Noelle, instantly sobering her up. She gritted her teeth and snapped, "Are you insane?"
Hendrix didn't answer, merely closing the distance between them with an unrelenting intensity. "You-"Noelle tried to say more, but before she could finish, Hendrix had cornered her in the shower. Without hesitation, he grabbed the belt of her robe and yanked it off with unrestrained force.
Noelle wanted to push him away, but her hands were gripped by him.
"Ouch! Hendrix, let me go...
Before she could finish speaking, her lips were kissed by him. The slight taste of alcohol on her tongue instantly filled both of their mouths, mixed with a faint metallic tang-her lip had been bitten and was now bleeding.
Noelle struggled even harder, but Hendrix seemed like a beast that had smelled blood. The ferocity in his eyes deepened, and with a rough tug, he tore her dress apart.
The sound of running water mingled with the sound of ripping fabric. Noelle's hands were pinned behind her back, her face pressed against the cold tile wall. Whether it was from pain or the chill, her entire body was trembling slightly.
At this moment, the haze in her mind had completely cleared. Over and over again, she shouted,
"Bastard.... Hendrix, you bastard! Let me go!"
Hendrix didn't respond, letting his violent actions speak for themselves.
