Chapter 29: Cargo Station

Chapter 29: Cargo Station

Nine hours later…

After getting some solid sleep, I woke up feeling totally refreshed and let out a big yawn. "Aaaaaaaahhhh! Well, that was a good sleep."

Without wasting a moment, I started eating again, fueling up for that extra energy boost before starting off my day. As soon as I finished my meal, I dove right into my daily quest exercises. There was no time to waste; the faster I completed the daily quest, the stronger I’d become. Before long, I'd be ready to dominate and conquer this colossal alien spaceship, making every effort a vital step toward my ultimate goal.

Alright, let’s begin!

“Raaaaarghh! Huuuuraaaahh! One, two! One, two! One, two!”

Push-up! Sit-up! Squat! High jump! Running!

Approximately fifteen hours later…

Daily Quest Progress:

[Push-ups: 1,000,000 / 1,000,000]

[Sit-ups: 1,000,000 / 1,000,000]

[High Jumps: 1,000,000 / 1,000,000]

[Squats: 1,000,000 / 1,000,000]

[Running: 1,000,000 / 1,000,000]

“Woohoo! Finally, it’s over!” I exclaimed, collapsing onto the ground, letting exhaustion wash over me as I sank into the sweet relief of rest.

[Daily Quest Completed!]

[STR: 43 >> 50]

[AGI: 43 >> 50]

"Huff! Huff! Huff!" I breathed heavily, my heart racing like crazy. It was that deeply satisfying feeling you get after pushing yourself through a tough challenge—exhausted, yet filled with a sense of accomplishment and pride.

Immediately after completing my daily quest, I received another new one right away:

Ding!

[Daily Quest: 10,000,000 Push-ups, 10,000,000 Sit-ups, 10,000,000 Squads, 10,000,000 High Jumps, and 10,000,000 Meters Run.]

[Would you like to begin your Daily Quest now? Please choose 'Accept' to start or 'Decline' to postpone and do it later.]

[Reward: Upon completion, you will gain STR +8 & AGI + 8]

10,000,000 reps… Yeah, this is going to take me a while or weeks to complete. Should I postpone the daily quest and focus entirely on my side quest for now?

I stroke my chin, deep in thought. After a moment, I’ve made up my mind. I can’t keep hiding like a coward. It’s wild to think that just moments ago I was debating, but now I’m certain—it’s time to hunt some aliens. Risky? Absolutely. But it’s a risk I have to take if I want to grow stronger faster and keep moving forward.

Six hours later…

At this point, I noticed the cargo station had grown quieter and less busy. That’s when it hit me—it must probably be bedtime for the aliens. Careful not to make too much noise, I stepped through the portal slowly and exited the metal box container. Once outside, I scanned the area one more time, checking for any signs of nearby aliens.

To my surprise, quite a few aliens were still working. Alright, first things first—let’s climb higher; I need to get to the top for a better view of my entire surroundings. However, I didn’t even need to climb. I could easily jump a few hundred feet to reach the highest stack of metal containers, but I chose to take my time and climb instead, wanting to avoid making too much noise that may attract the aliens.

With my agility stats increased, I could move swiftly and silently, making it easy to avoid detection by the aliens. In less than thirty seconds, I climbed to the highest stack of metal containers, my heart racing with exhilaration. As I reached the top, I finally had an expansive view of my surroundings, the sprawling cargo station laid out beneath me like a complex puzzle. From this vantage point, I could see the remaining aliens at work, their movements precise and methodical, as well as any potential routes I could take to navigate the area undetected.

As I scanned the area below, I spotted at least 25 to 75 aliens still at work. They didn’t resemble the typical alien soldiers; instead, they appeared to be lesser aliens, which was a relief. Looking further north, I noticed a massive sign that read, “Enter here to reach Cargo Station #2,” indicating the presence of another colossal cargo station nearby.

No way! I couldn’t believe it!

The cargo station I’m currently in, which I assumed was probably “Cargo Station #1,” was so vast that I felt like an ant in a giant’s realm. The towering walls seemed to stretch endlessly, filled with advanced machinery and some aliens going about their tasks. It was overwhelming to think about the sheer scale of this place.

To think there’s another cargo station besides this one… My mind raced with possibilities. How many more of these massive places are crammed into this colossal alien spaceship? Seriously, it’s wild to imagine the sheer number of cargo stations that could fit inside this gigantic thing. Damn, what kind of operation are they running here?
