As my bullets flew through the air, time seemed to stretch. I felt invincible, adrenaline fueling my fury. But then, a blinding flash erupted from the aliens as they activated their barrier shields. It was like slamming into a brick wall—my shots ricocheted off, each bullet reflecting back with a deafening clang.
CLANG!
“You've got to be kidding m—!” My heart dropped as the realization hit me. I had completely forgotten about their barrier shield. In my mind, I thought if I could take them down fast enough, then they wouldn’t have the time to activate it fast enough.
Fuck! This is some bullshit! How did they activate their barrier shields so quickly?! Are you telling me their reaction time is even faster than a goddamn bullet?! No fucking way!
The implications of that thought twisted in my gut. I could feel frustration boiling over as I tried to wrap my head around it. The only explanation I could come up with was that the barrier shield must have activated on its own, a built-in defense mechanism that sensed danger before the threat even fully materialized.
It was infuriating. I had underestimated them, and now I was paying the price. Tch! This has to be a joke! Are you telling me these fucking aliens are unbeatable?! Just how strong do I need to be to take down these goddamn blue alien bastards?!
As I looked around, I could feel the weight of everyone's eyes on me, their faces twisted in disbelief. They couldn’t comprehend that I’d actually dared to shoot at the aliens. It was like the whole room froze, stuck between shock and fear. No—most of them didn’t even realize what was happening, let alone knowing that they were about to be tortured and killed by those damn aliens.
Without hesitation, I dropped my guns on the ground with a heavy thud. Why? Because I’m fucking done. There was no point in fighting anymore. I already knew I had lost. It didn’t matter what I did next—the outcome was still going to be the same regardless. Whether I fought back or ran, it wouldn’t change a fucking damn thing.
My chest tightened with the weight of defeat as I slowly raised both hands in the air. It felt strange, surrendering like this, but what else could I do? The truth was clear: I couldn’t win this fight. So, I did the only thing I could—I surrendered to the aliens.
Meanwhile, the aliens looked rather surprised and curious, as they probably hadn’t expected me to make such a bold move against them. Suddenly, one of the blue aliens vanished and reappeared right in front of me. In an instant, he seized my throat with his enormous hand, gripping it like a vice and leaving me struggling to make a sound or draw a breath. Fear surged through me as I gasped, my lungs desperately fighting for air.
“Heh, not bad!” the alien said, his voice tinged with genuine intrigue. “Never in my life did I think a human would dare to surprise us like this. How interesting. You’re probably the first human ever to not only avoid panic and confusion but also to muster the courage to launch an actual attack on us.”
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
The alien regarded me with a mixture of curiosity and approval, my boldness sparking a rare sense of respect. His grip remained unyielding, yet his words hinted at a certain admiration for my defiant spirit in the face of overwhelming odds. It seemed the aliens hadn’t changed at all; they were still saying the same things to me as last time, treating me like an interesting subject rather than a threat.
Hmm, let me guess—they’re definitely going to hit me in the head next, just like last time, and knock me out cold. I braced myself, knowing that the next moment could shift from admiration to aggression in an instant.
Then when I wake up later, they will undoubtedly torture me and then kill me. The thought sent a chill down my spine, and I couldn’t shake the sense of impending doom that hung in the air. I recalled the last time I had faced them—the cold metal, the blinding pain, and the darkness that followed after that.
Ugh, I don’t want to go through that torturing process again… The thought of it sent a wave of dread through me. Fuck! Is there really no way to get out of this?! Suddenly, an idea struck me: what if I could kill myself before they get me? Yeah, that could be a way out, a fast and painless death.
But then I realized I was too late. As I felt myself being choked and lifted into the air, panic surged through my veins. I was powerless against the alien’s formidable grip, a tightness wrapping around my throat, leaving me gasping for breath. My mind raced, searching for a way to break free, but it was futile. The strength of this alien was overwhelming, and I was at its mercy.
Before I could even gather my thoughts or summon any last-ditch effort, one of the aliens suddenly slammed me on the back of my head. The impact was blinding, and in an instant, I was knocked out completely. My vision faded to total darkness, temporarily pulling me away from the terrifying reality I was trapped in.
I had no idea how much time had passed, but when I opened my eyes again, I found myself back in the same isolated room as before, far from the vast experiment hall filled with other humans. Similar to last time, I was strapped to a metal table, completely immobilized. Only my head could move, and even that, just slightly.
Unknown to how much time had passed, maybe a few hours, suddenly the horrifying realization set in: the screams of the other humans nearby had abruptly stopped. That’s when I knew with a sinking feeling that it was only a matter of time before the alien would torture me next.
STEP-STEP! TAP-TAP!
BA-DUM! HEARTBEAT!
Speaking of the devil, I suddenly hear the unmistakable sound of heavy footsteps approaching. It’s clear that the aliens are heading this way, making their way to this isolated room where I’m trapped. I let out a resigned sigh, fully aware that my fate is sealed. Oh well, I guess this is truly the end for me…
Not long after, the metal door slid open with an electronic hiss, and a group of aliens entered the room. They began their usual taunts, spouting all kinds of nonsense that I couldn’t care less about. This is infuriating… They need to stop talking and just kill me already... After what felt like an eternity, they finally began the torture session.
“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!!! It hurts!!! Please stop!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaghhh!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaarghhh!!!”
…
…
Time passed… and eventually, my body reached its limit, and I died. In a flash, the world around me faded into utter darkness. Once the pain subsided, that’s when I knew everything was finally over.
