Chapter 10 -The Dimension of the Dragons-
ALTER VIOLET
Going from dimension to dimension could really make your insides feel like crap. I was not used to it and was probably not getting used to this feeling. As I started to curse under my breath because of this feeling, my vision had engulfed the sense of beauty that had always engulfed me when I saw this Kingdom. This was Ezar. The Dimension Of The Dragons. Onyx birth place and where I will have to take his place until he comes back, as guilt started to infuse my mind the old general had spoken to me.
“Young master, you should activate your dragonic-form while we enter the Kingdom.” he said half-turned towards me. Nodding in response I activated my dragonic-form that I received from Onyx’s ‘blue orb’. Looking at the entrance gates of the kingdom, there appeared to be people waiting for something or someone.
Of course not paying attention to those people I had put a cloak on from my dimension bracelet that I had, putting on the hood so that I can hide my face but it would be difficult since the ones next to me are ‘generals’ of the Ezar Kingdom less attention would be appreciated.
As we got closer to the gates, trumpets started to play. “Please welcome the Prince of The Dragon Clan, The Heir to Ezar, Prince Onyx Millguard!” Said the guy next to the trumpet guy, then the gates opened and a view of thousands of people were behind those gates. I turned to face the ‘generals’, “Alright, which one of you decided to do this?!” I said, giving them an annoyed tone at these so-called ‘generals’.
The four idiots avoided eye contact when they started to whistle. “It was her majesty’s idea, young master.” Someissoa said, “At first our idea was to have you come to Ezar under wraps but she was eager to receive you back after so many years.” I should probably just play along since it actually been a long time since Onyx had visited his parents.
“Is that so then.” Shaking my head to the thought, I let go of the thought and kept walking forward thinking to myself that I needed to fake a smile to face the people, Onyx’s people. The people made a path for us and kept cheering that their ‘prince’ came back after a long time.
“Welcome back Prince Onyx”... “We missed you”... “We should celebrate now that he came back.” I could clearly hear the townspeople say those words, sure there wasn’t anything bad about those words but I knew that they weren’t directed to me but to Onyx.
But at least we had already arrived at the castle, Chuzeoth walked in front of me and he talked to the guards in the entrance, “Open up guards, the prince is back and he seeks an audience with his majesties.”
The guards, surprised by the general’s words, immediately opened up the door, alarming the king and queen along with the soldiers protecting them. The four generals walked first to clear up the misunderstanding, then they bowed to the monarchs. “Your majesties, we have brought the prince back home.” said Aidryss with a more serious tone than what I… Onyx has heard him talk.
Luna and Juliette were the first ones to walk in front of me and they kneeled before them, “Your majesties.” Both of them said, the king and queen looked at each other questioning who these two girls were. “And who are these human girls supposed to be?” said Lady Millguard, facing Aidryss.
I walked past where Luna and Juliette were kneeling, taking off my hooded cloak and I spoke, “They are my disciples.” Their eyes widened at my appearance, Lady Millguard covered her mouth with her hands while Lord Millguard gripped his hand to his white throne and stood up walking down the stairs almost tripping.
Being close to me the king said “Is that really you… Onyx?” Hearing his words all I could do was look at his way in guilt, “I see… so that’s what happened.” Lord Millguard’s expression changed from happy to disappointed. The reason was clear, I had taken his son’s place, his memories, mostly everything from him.
Lady Millguard came down her throne straight to me and she did something I never thought she would do, she had hugged me. “You must have gone through a lot all this time haven’t you.” There was a long silence before she continued, “No matter who did what, you two will always be my sons.”
Before I knew it, my arms moved on their own and I returned the hug that Onyx mother gave me. “Thank you,” were the words that left my mouth. After two long minutes of what I could describe as a ‘love’ moment, Lady Millguard and I stopped hugging. Lord Millguard walked in my direction and hugged me too, giving me the same words that Lady Millguard.
“As my wife said, or should I say as your mother mentioned. No matter who is who or which did which, you two will always be our sons.” He said, feeling his emotions I could tell that he was not lying and that probably made Onyx happy… or me.
As if reading the room Lady Millguard clapped her hands and smiled before speaking, “Now now, you must all be tired how about you guys go wash yourself and join us for dinner.” The king and queen went back to their throne calling their maids into the room. “Please show our guest into their room.” said King Millguard and without saying a word but a movement, she bowed and gestured to us to follow her…
Entering my room… Onyx’s room, I noticed that the room was… Pretty simple even for a prince. The only thing that stood out were the obsidian curtains in an all white room. I kept looking around when I felt the massive fatigue hit me like a baseball coming at me unaccounted for. “Damn… I can’t sleep… not now.” My eyelids got heavier and the more I struggled to keep them open the heavier they got until they completely closed…

“What were you saying, basilisk. I couldn’t quite hear you with all those emotions coming out of you.” I said with my cold voice, my connection to mana felt even stronger than before. I felt as if I could control the world under the palm of my hand. The motes of color swarm around me, is this what it felt… Is this the feeling of a bloodthirsty killer?
The feeling of losing yourself… drowning into your own power… Into the power of an…
Ancient Walker.
I stood up then opened my palm, the basilisk standing there with confused eyes. “Another part of your human tricks-” before he could finish I conjured my lightning blade and cutted his dominant hand. His sword fell to the ground, “Aghhh… Y-you damned human, you dare to harm me. A captain to the almighty basilisk army!” He yelled, activating a healing spell to stop his bleeding wound, “Stop yelling, you are making my ears all ringing.”
It seemed like his head was filled with hatred, his eyes appeared to have red veiny lines going into the center of his pupil. Annoyed by his expression, I narrowed my eyes into his making him jolt. “Scared now?” I asked, making him step back, “Captain of the almighty basilisk army huh? If that’s the case then you should have enough information about who is in the army.” I released half of my aura making him fall down backwards, he seemed like a scared puppy.
ALBERT
“Keep attacking, don't let up.” I ordered the armed villagers who kept striking and defending against the wild monsters. Gripping my two swords, I got ready to kill some monsters. As I killed more of these monsters, I felt an unknown presence in the distance. That is where Alter was and that minotaur, “It seems like he has used ‘Ancient Walker’.” This voice seemed familiar, I turned around to the source of the voice. It was Lady Isabella.
I ran towards her, “Lady Isabella, it is too dangerous for you to be here. The basilisk’s objective is you, you should get away from here while Alter is fighting the Minotaur.” I said trying not to put her in danger since she could have still been injured. “If you are concerned about my injuries, don’t be, I have already been healed.” She said, studying her surroundings, watching the enemies every move. But something seemed to catch her eye or more like stopped her from spectating, her brows went forward as if she was angered by her results. “Albert, they are not here for me… they are here for Alter.”
Confused by her words, I turned to the source of the mysterious dark aura where there was a faint trace of the minotaur aura or mana. “Then the aura over there is…” Pointing with my sword to the direction I was facing, “Yes… That’s Alter’s aura.” Lady Isabella walked three steps in front of me and turned around, “Albert you should escape with the remaining villagers.”
She gave me a light smile, “What are you going to do, Lady Isabella?” I asked, not being able to give her a straight face. Her head turned to face where her body was facing before answering me, “To save the one I love of course.” After Lady Isabella finished, she just walked away.
ALTER VIOLET
“P-please… No more… just kill me…” said the minotaur, all bloody from his chopped off limbs, “I am don’t worry, you have told me what I needed and more.” I raised my lightning blade and striked down aiming for his head, cutting it clean. I swing my sword to the side taking the blood of the mana blade. When I was about to leave, I heard footsteps in front of me.
“So you killed a captain without even using your full potential, this is going to be interesting.” said a nonchalant voice coming from in front of me, showing his blade first then his figure. It was a general of the basilisk army, Yuzath. “To think that they would bring you here, Yuzath.” I said calmly not worried, I un made my lightning blade and kept watching his moves.
“I’m guessing you’re here for the princess too?” I said, smiling at the basilisk general, he started to laugh at me and said “You really think that we dispatched two-hundred men just for a replaceable princess? No you are wrong,” he looked at the corpse behind me and continued. “He probably was here for her but I’m here for a different reason,” Yuzath lifted his long curved sword and pointed it towards me.
He narrowed his eyes, “I’m here to awaken the real you.” Mana surged from his body, ‘awakening’ I thought, assembling my lightning blade and getting ready to attack. Before I knew it, a white shining light appeared in front of me then expanded into my point of view making it seemed like I was flashed bang. When I came to reasoning, I was staring at an odd ceiling but came quick to recognize it. “I’m in Ezar.”
I let out a sigh before getting up from the bed, looking outside the window as I started walking into its direction. I wonder why I keep getting these old memories into my dream, but it seems like an omen to me. More like I know something bad is going to happen when I dream about my past… Or should I say distant past?
My thoughts were interrupted by a knocking coming from the door, “Come in.” I said turning around to face the person who knocked, it was Lady Millguard. Her long purple hair, her blue eyes, it seemed like she had been in her mid twenties. I could tell from Onyx’s memories that she hasn’t aged a bit. In fact I don’t think she even did.
“Dear, It’s time for the dinner that we had arranged.” She said in her light voice that was quite calming, “Is that so then I’m going to be on my w-” A sudden pain came from deep inside me, as if I was being stabbed by a chainsaw while it was on. I fell on my two knees, “A-Alter what’s wrong!” I heard Moth- Lady Millguard say in worry, “I’m fine, I just used the ring phase for too long.” I said puffing for air into my lungs, feeling the sweat coming from my forehead falling into the floor.
“We have to take you into the lab so that we can heal you and find out what is going on.” She said, picking me from one arm and walking me into the lab, some guards noticed and came to my aid, holding me and letting Lady Millguard walk in front of us, making it earlier into the lab and informing the doctors and researchers. “Bring the prince here,” Said one of the doctors activating some sort of machine that was similar to my old world.
Two nurses had put some weird type of wire around my chest and head. “His mana levels are not stable, his body seems to have not been adaptive to a mysterious power that he has inside but that is not the only problem here…” The doctor who had read this analysis through a monitor, somehow this type of insight has made it to this world. “Prince, have you felt this type of pain before?” Asked the researcher next to him, I nodded to his response and added more, “It only happens when I use Abeyance.” The nurses seemed to have gone out and looked for someone but I didn’t know who but I couldn’t dwell on it any longer. The pain grew stronger and stronger, making me struggle with the pain.
“Doctors, what seems to be the problem? Why is Alter feeling pain after using Onyx’s powers?” Lady Millguard asked, “It is only a speculation of mine but let's hope that I am wrong here, in the meantime we are going to ease his pain while a certain someone gets here.” The Doctor said giving the nurses orders to bring an antidote to calm my pain.
