Flying through the air with six golden wings on his back, Eden dodged the near countless attacks from the ghost knights and the demons summoned. However he still had the time to complain.
“Damn how many attacks do you intent to throw at me?!” he screamed throwing another couple of layers of mana shields around him.
Due to his long age and the fact that he obtained a cheat key known as 'Creation', Eden was able to make countless skills and use them. Among these are a total of 134 physical defence skills, 165 magic defence skills and 185 mana regeneration skills. He had another 182 skills that were other things he also picked up that were useful as well.
All of this made Eden one of the most unkillable existences in the game alone combined with his high mana that is his lifeline. But at the same time most of these skills, especially the more powerful ones were sealed away with 'Magic King Drive'.
Just like Alexandra cannot use her 'Divinity' he could not use 'Magic King Drive' and Viv cannot use his 'Yggdrasil Trigger' which he gained at an unknown time. These powers were the main core of their power in the past and now they are unable...no unwilling to use it. For their powers was now a seal for a mighty beast.
“Flame Tornado” Eden shouted forming flames at his hands and throwing it at a couple of those ghost knights causing a tornado of flame to be summoned at that location.
“Ahhhh!” the ghost knights screamed as the flames melted them.
“Charge! Charge! For the King!” the following ghost knights went through the flames ignoring their injured comrades to strike down Eden. At the front was the King once again attacking him.
“Golden Bow!” Summoning his bow, Eden pulled and fired causing the single strike to multiple into hundreds and thousands of arrows.
Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang...!
Eden only managed to take out around half of the charging knights as their defence or perhaps because they were now ghost knights that they managed to survive that. With his silver white sword, the King leaped from his pure white ghost horse and shouted, “Excalibur!”
Light gathered in his sword and exploded in a wave similar to Alexandra's 'Sword Wave'. He had experienced this kind of attack countless times. How could this be any different?
“Sitri, stop him!” Solomon shouted causing one of his summoned demons, one that had the face of a leopard and wings of a griffin to charge at Eden and grab him causing him to be unbalance for a split second.
But at the same time the King's attack was about to hit him as well.
“Shit...!” Eden braced himself for lots of damage.
'Damn he sent his minion to suicide with me'
Even with 'Dragonic Release', 'Dragonic Overload' and 'Battle Aura' active along with a couple of other spells in place, something of that power, that rivalled Alexandra's in power would be difficult to defend against.
It was at that time that Alexandra jumped in front of Eden and shouted one thing with her sword blazing full of energy.
“SWORD WAVE!”
Another wave of energy was let out in the direction of the first attack.
BANG!
The two attacks collided.
However Alexandra's attack was twice as large...and much much more powerful as well. She did not hold back at all and waves of destruction where ghost knights and summoned demons were blown away.
“Alexandra hold back a bit will you” Eden requested, “It would look bad like the wielder of that legendary sword Excalibur were to lose like that.”
“Well they can think of that later when they aren't double teaming you” he replied with no mercy.
“By the way, what happened to the other one?” he had to ask. He had a bad feeling about this.
“Oh, he's coming this way” she pointed at the charging shadow that would bring death. Eden knew that was Kyoshiro and he was heading here to kill them both. Even with the extra defence 'Humanoid Dragon Transformation' gave him, it wouldn't matter since that sword seemed to cut through all defence.
“....”
'In that case, I have to stop him by force.'
Formulating a spell in his head, Eden said, “Earth Destructive Wave” and slammed his hand down on the ground.
The spell activated and the ground from Eden to Kyoshiro started to break and split apart. Visually it was the ground in a wave like form flipping itself over like a tsunami.
“Divine Wind Style: Mizuchi!”
“Wha?”
In the instant that Kyoshiro said those words, wind was blown out of his body. It was like a warm gentle breeze and yet his instincts flared out to get away else be killed. He immediately forced 'Battle Aura' to maximum and got the hell away from this wind.
But at the same time, this move's range was too large to dodge like that. By the time the words came out of Kyoshiro's mouth it was too late to dodge.
CUT!
You took 2153 damage
You took 1658 damage
You took 2993 damage
….
The damage quickly stacked up to take over half his mana in one go. His armour was full of cuts everywhere which would make the person who deals with his clothes sad and the rest of his body had large cuts on it as well.
Thankfully due to 'Recovery Burst' his body was healed in the next instant though the mana that was lost wasn't coming back any time soon.
“Ow ow ow” Eden muttered, even now getting hit like that would be painful. Why he didn't make a pain reducing or pain negating skill was beyond him. Either way he did not have the time nor mana to do so now.
“Alexandra you okay?” he asked looking over. At this point on one side there was an army of ghost knights and demons and on the other there was a swordsman that was way too powerful unless they get serious in a one on one fight.
“No....” Alexandra muttered but with a grin, “It's been a while...no a very long time we had to fight foes that were stronger than the current us.”
“Doesn't help that our power is capped at level 800 right now and they're level 900 each...plus our bodies are kinda rusty after so long without a good battle” Eden sighed, “Aren't you going to use those 'Sun Authorities'?” he asked.
“Already am...I have 5 of them now anyway” she said, “But using them is a pain. They drain so much stamina when active, especially when five of them are active at the same time.”
“How is that a problem for you who almost literally has unlimited stamina?” Eden asked while firing off a couple of spells in either direction. They were mostly lightning or fire spells which were quick and easy to use.
“Anyway it looks like it's time to retreat again” said Eden looking around to see that their situation was particularly bad.
Alexandra waved to the enemies and in a cheerful voice shouted, “We'll be back to play in a bit~!”
With that, Eden grabbed Alexandra and teleported away.

Character Name: Serena
Group 6, Platform 1 participant
Current Round: Preliminary Round
Confirming this, Serena walked up to the first platform and waited for the match to start. Seeing that she had a large metal claw that extended up on her right arm, she was getting a lot of stares.
“....”
She really wanted to run away now since there were so many people looking...just looking but they might be looking at her and commenting on her. But she couldn't run away at this point. Not since a long time ago when she met with the others.
'It's fun being with them...' she thought.
Soon enough the announcer said, “Let the match begin!” causing the fight to start. With her staff it was clear that she was a magic user and the fact remains that she had a flashy appearance and furthermore she was near the centre of the platform.
It was like she was saying that she wanted to be attacked.
“Heeeeeeiiiiii!” she let out that scream when she found that several blades were heading that way. Using her higher than normal agility even for normal players let along a magic user though she was a druid, she dodged the incoming attacks with seemingly ease.
With her stats this was very much possible however as a young girl, Serena has a natural fear of blades. Furthermore the others in the group did not allow Serena to be harmed if they could and as such she was similar to a sheltered princess.
But at the same time she was part of the group who went through a minor hell by Eden. Her bonds with them did not allow her to run away right now.
Though she still let out a scream every time one went for her.
“Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!” another blade came to cut her and she dodged screaming.
“Damn that voice is annoying! Kill her already!”
“Can't...she's a young girl....”
“Than push her out of the platform!”
After several seconds of this, everyone who aimed for Serena then went off to attack each other rather than waste time hunting down her. As such she had enough time to cast her spell, a mistake on the other players' part.
“Root Bind!” she chanted causing vines to grow from the platform and bind the players in place. All eyes went on Serena as she did this.
“S-Sorry...!” she suddenly said seeing that the other players were glaring at her now. She really wanted to run away now but she couldn't at this point.
'Have to finish them off...with what...? Strongest spell...?'
It was that moment at that point that Serena decided to use the spell that she thought had the most power...which was unfortunate to everyone else.
After chanting for the required time for the spell which was almost none at all due to being a quick cast spell, Serena said, “Blood Burst!” creating a red orb in front of her.
The red orb curious to everyone else shot out and hit the other nine players on the platform several times in several place before disappearing.
“Hahaha what the hell was that-” one player said feeling nothing at all. But at this point the time for the spell true power had passed.
BANG!
In an instant every player burst out like a balloon. Blood poured and rained on all sides even spreading to where the audience was. And then there was silence.
“....”
No one moved. Not even Serena moved.
Nine people just...burst into pieces just like that. Everyone looked at the scene and Serena with eyes wide and jaws dropped. If Eden and Alexandra were here, they would be the only ones to laugh at this scene ignoring the blood all over the place.
It was at this moment Serena got two messages. One was this.
Character Name: Serena
Group 6, Platform 1 winner
Current Round: To be set
And the other was this.
You have gained a new title, 'Born in Blood'
Born in Blood
A person who had used blood magic, a powerful and yet at the same time strangely no longer forbidden to a few that serve the Kingdom, that had used this spell in front of so many and yet looked completely calm. As such not many would dare try to cross you and many would avoid you at will.
Intimidation +40%
Blood magic Strength +20%
“Eh?”
Serena suddenly gained this title out of nowhere even though she had used this spell before and in front of other people as well..though it was not as large as this crowd that numbered in the thousands.
“Winner of the platform one has been crowned!” the announcer said quickly regaining his professionism. Serena quickly bowed to the crowd and almost ran out and out of sight as well.
“Good work Serena!” Lyndis gave her a thumbs up, “That scene you caused as quite funny~”
“I hope you don't refer to the blood bath Lyndis” Miriel said though patting Serena on the shoulder worried that she would yet have another trauma of people again.
“Of course not! I'm not that deprived to think something like that is good! I was referring to that scene where everyone was super shocked at what the small and cute Serena here did~” she replied.
“Also Serena got a new title thanks to that now” Sain added in since it was unlikely that the others would know from Serena herself.
“New title? What is it?” Lyndis was quite happy for Serena to get a new title. It would mean that she would get some bonuses in an area....though she wondered what it could be.
“It's...” Serena started to say, “One that increases my Blood Magic strength-”
“And one that she got for causing that scene” Sain added on again. For some reason he felt like bullying Serena for a bit right now. Perhaps it had to do with almost being killed just before.
“Plus she gets extra intimidation as a bonus as well.”
When Sain said that with Serena blushing a bit from embarrassment the others looked at her a but shocked. How could this person do anything intimidation? It was such a waste of a bonus that would be well suited for Lyndis or Miriel.
Anyway the group continued to watch the matches to see if Shadow would appear at all.
xXx
Character Name: Lyndis
Group 8, Platform 3 participant
Current Round: Preliminary Round
“Wow~ So this is what the others saw when they stood here” Lyndis said looking excited at the very least.
Competitions were something that Lyndis liked a lot since it allowed her to show off her abilities in front of everyone else. Like the others she would be seen and talked about.
Now it was Lyndis' turn to fight on the platform as well. Though a bit too excited, she was happy that there were some strong people in this tournament as well.
“Some of those winners looked quite good when fighting as well” she muttered thinking of those guys that looked younger than her and yet had this serious look in their eyes that made her want to bully them.
But she wasn't into younger guys so there’s that.
“Hmm....lots of people around my level...and even under as well” she continued to mutter to herself. From looking at her opponents she could partly tell what level they should be based off their equipment and even more so from their stance.
A powerful person was never sloppy even when drunk. Well...maybe they were but they were still better than some people at her best. The best example of this was Sain in her eyes as while it looked like he was sloppy he was quite accurate when he felt like it.
It was only due to him fumbling around with spells that caused this problem. He even used his spear sometimes as a staff to fire spells when he didn't need to. A spear is meant to be a spear not a staff!
But still, at least half the people here on the same platform as her was of a lower level than her. The other half were of higher level but at the same time were pretty weak. Stat wise Lyndis was around 30 levels above what was normal due to training.
But beyond that was her skill with the sword. Right now Lyndis was only a bit better than average but she had a lot of experience against human like enemies. In other words those bandit attacks helped her develop skills that would make it even easier to kill other players.
From what she saw, this preliminary round was a good way to get rid of all of the weeds that were weak at least.
“Come on come one...” she muttered waiting for the announcer to hurry up!
She was losing patients here and wanted to let loose already. Seeing the others do their best in their own way made her want to fight as well.
She gripped her sword wanting to fight but at the same time had to restrain herself since she didn't want to be disqualified due to anything. She stood at the centre of the platform like Serena and simply waited and calmed her heart as much as possible.
While her heartbeats slowed down a bit it was still quite fast compared to normal. Her body was adjusting to move at faster than normal speeds in an instant.
“Let the round begin!” the announcer shouted.
At that moment she drew her sword and looked around. The other players started attacking each other and one of them came to fight her as well. It was a young boy with sky blue hair and armour that made him look like a knight.
Any normal girl would have trouble attacking this person but Lyndis at this point only wanted to fight.
“Fire Blade!” Lyndis caused her sword to be blended with flame itself as she and the young boy slashed at each other.
BANG!
In an instant Lyndis' strike moved faster than his even though she didn't even use 'Speed Strike' or 'Speed Stance' at all. His sword was heavily damage as Lyndis knocked him away. Looking dazed at his damaged sword due to Lyndis he still came charging back in.
“Speed Strike!” Lyndis shouted while also using 'Speed Stance' and 'Sword Dance' at this point as well.
Bang Bang Bang!
Critical Hit!
Lyndis hit the young boy and his armour three times with her sword melted away his defence bit by bit. By the time that Lyndis killed him she had hit him only around 10 times in a row. Disappointed a bit she seeked out the other players to hunt down as well.
“Flame Strike!” she shouted firing it at once of the other players nearby. The player hit on the back started burning and died.
Shocked was the expression the other player had with his opponent killed like that.
“Flame Coating!” Lyndis shouted next covering her body with flames. With his appearance she looked like some sort of flame demon. The other players catching on to the danger went to attack Lyndis while they still could.
However...
“Weak! Weak! Too Weak!” she shouted chopping up one of the players that could not escape in time with her attacks raining down on him.
Her personality right now was as such that it was almost like the 'Mark' was activated again. However it was more like Lyndis had found a switch and pulled it causing her to be like this on her own.
After killing the fourth player in a row the other five players at this point decided to gang up on Lyndis no matter what since she was a clear danger to the rest of them now. Some of them wanted to jump off the platform to escape death but seeing Lyndis' expression force them to admit that she would not let them to.
In this tournament there were certain rules to be met. Those who surrender will not be killed unless they are in mortal combat in which case they should not be fighting to begin with. The other rule is that to not attack those who have left the platform.
“Life Burn!” Lyndis used this skill since she had lots of health to burn at this point. Even more flames came out of her body and were thrown at the other players.
Some of them hit, some of them missed but that was not the point. The other players soon realised the only way off the platform was behind Lyndis while her flames covered the rest of the platform.
She was forcing them to fight.
Moving back into the action with speeds that were almost faster than what the other players could see she started to fight them all at once with her sword flying in all directions due to the effects of 'Sword Dance' that increase sword speed the more hits she did in a row.
“Take her down!” one of the other players shouted while using a skill to push Lyndis back.
After four more blades went to hit Lyndis a few times her health dropped to around 60% which in her mind was still quite high...though she had fought with only 10% of her health before due to Sain.
As such she wasn't that worried though the confidence of the other players increased. It was at this point that Lyndis' mind calmed down a lot. Before she was like a raging flame but now she was like a calm light.
“Haaaaaaa!!!”
All five players went to attack her at once attacking with one at front and two at either side. Focusing she used 'Precision Stance' to help her block some of the attacks.
“Fire bomb” she whispered while taking a moment to drop it on the ground. There was a three second timer on this skill so Lyndis spent another two seconds fighting and took the last second to run the heck away from there.
BOOM!
The fire bomb exploded and killed all but one player. The last one was in critical condition and was about to die.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
“Hmm...” she decided to put him out of his misery at least. She walked over and placed her blade on top of his head and was about to stab down...
“I surrender!” the player shouted for all to hear.
Lyndis in her position could not stop her stab but in the end altered the trajectory to narrowly miss the player's head.
Character Name: Lyndis
Group 8, Platform 3 winner
Current Round: To be set
“....”
The window updated to say that she was the winner for this platform.
Lyndis looked down at the player. Why didn't he surrender before she was about to kill him?
“How boring” she muttered leaving. While she had some fun so far this last thing left a slightly bad taste in her mouth. Was that person trying to even though he lose to drag her down as well? Anyway she left the stage and moved where the rest of the group was.
“Shadow wasn't in this group either...” she said a tiny bit worried about him.
“Well he can take care of himself” Miriel replied, “Especially when we were worried about him he didn't contact us back!”
“Haha, please go easy on him when he appears” Sain said with a bit of sympathy to Shadow.
“Not at all” Miriel replied in a cold tone, “Note that you will be treated this way if you dare do something like that as well.”
“Please have mercy on me in the future” Sain plead with his hands together in a prayer like state to Miriel. Lyndis had this feeling that she wanted to slap both of them for showing her to light hearted and charming scene.
To offset this feeling Lyndis went over to pat Serena's soft hair and looked a bit at Raven's handsome face only for a little bit. She didn't want to use them for this to begin with.
xXx
Another group came and went and Shadow was nowhere still. Sain and the other four were getting really worried now. If he was not in the last group then where could he be?
They watched as the final group came in and quickly looked at all of them...eventually they found Shadow near the back.
“He's over there!” Lyndis shouted pointing making sure the others knew where he was as well. The rest of the group located Shadow as well and noticed that he looked strange.
“Are those bags under his eyes?” Miriel wondered seeing that his face was more pale than usual and there were clear dark purple marks under his eyes.
“Why is he hunching?” Sain wondered as well seeing that if he had grey hair and wrinkles one could mistake him for an old man. The energy that Shadow usually had even on his bad days wasn't there as well.
It was like he was forced to do something throughout the night without end.
“Is...he okay?” Serena asked too focus on why Shadow was like that. Even though she didn't like him when he talks, him in his current condition was too pitiful.
“I can explain that though it was his fault to begin with.”
The group turned to see Alena.
“Alena!”
“What are you doing here?”
The group was surprise to see her since she wasn't here from the very beginning. She smiled and then asked, “Is there a rule that tells me not to come here?”
Thinking about it for a second Sain said, “Actually this place is only for-”
“My position allows me to come and go where ever I want” she immediately said confirming her position compared to the others. As a 'Manager' to the common citizen or 'Official' to the Independent Guilds she has at least this amount of power though many complain about it but none dare try to say that in front of her.
But there was one idiot that did here.
“Hmm....sounds like an abuse of power to me” Lyndis muttered not caring what others felt about it. If not for her relationship with Alena and with the guild she would be put to sleep by Alena right there and then.
But instead Alena said, “Well it's only a small thing compared to the amount of work I have to do. With only me, I have to handle most of the issues in this city and surrounding area. It gets worse in the Central Continent where a dozen people like me there can barely manage the place. We are scrapped for good enough people to take a position” with a sigh indicating that she was usually exhausted adding on child rearing onto her list of things to do.
“Oh I see” Lyndis replied and then asked, “So what you have Shadow do all last night?”
“Some work though he just finished a few minutes ago” Alena replied without any hesitation.
“And....what kind of work is this?” Miriel asked, feeling that Alena was becoming similar to Eden, Alexandra and Viv in their attitude on things. It was like an extremely difficult and time consuming task to everyone else was a simple matter to them.
“Let's see....” Alena started recalling what she had Shadow do, “First I needed him to organise some files, then deliver them across the city and finally had him collect any reports as well.”
“That sounds simple enough” Lyndis said. Alena nodded to her words but Miriel knew better.
“Wait isn't this city extremely difficult to get around with builds all over the place in layers?” Miriel asked.
“Yes even for trained people, it would take around a day to reach the top which was why I only made him do the bottom half of the city” Alena replied.
“....”
There were around 20-30 layers in the city. The higher you go the further each layer is. However near the bottom was the first 10 layers that were stacked quite closely and you have at least a 20 gap in between them. This gap only gets large as you go up...even 5 more layers.
Even for Shadow this would be difficult to go up and down and through each place he needed to go. But for now, the group watched as Shadow competed as well.
xXx
Shadow was tired.
Very tired.
To the point that he wanted to fall down into a deep sleep.
“Damn that woman...” he muttered with irritation. He really did not like her from the very beginning. She reminded him too much of Eden without the 'I will help you' attitude. Perhaps that was what Eden was really like.
But at the same time Alena forced him to work throughout the night and as such he was exhausted.
You are exhausted to the limit
Due to a massive lack of sleep along with overwork, your body is in no condition to work. Take a rest!
Stamina -60%
All stats -20%
Even the game feels that Shadow was having a hard time and suggested that he to rest. But he had to compete and after that he could take a rest....at least for a while. But the problem Shadow had right now as that his stamina and the rest of his stats were decreased though not by that much.
Character Name: Shadow
Group 10, Platform 12 participant
Current Round: Preliminary Round
Ignoring this window Shadow drew his blades and waited though at the same time alerting the other players to himself. He did not care right now since he wanted to finish this up and get some sleep.
“Let the fight begin!” the announcer shouted causing the fight to begin.
In the moment that those words left the announcer's mouth, Shadow made his move against the other nine players. First he would need to rapidly take them out, no that was the final result.
First he needed to take them off guard. With two weapons at hand he could easily kill any one of these players with ease with a surprise attack. Therefore he chose the option that would make them even more fearful on them.
“Shadow Step, Burst Speed!” Shadow used those two skills at once causing the other players to think there were three people charging at fast speeds.
“Backstab!” he shouted disappearing and reappearing behind the player that was furthest away from him at the start. He sunk both his weapons in him and killed the player. With one down he continued to the next one and one after that.
Soon enough in a matter of a few seconds he managed to kill the rest of the players.
Character Name: Shadow
Group 10, Platform 12 Winner
Current Round: To be set
The announcer then said that Shadow won his match and he left to meet with the others...where ever they were with a yawn and drowsy sight.
xXx
“What the hell was that? I didn't know Shadow was that good at killing other people” Lyndis exclaimed seeing that Shadow had bested the rest of them in the amount of time they took to win.
From what they saw it didn't even take 20 seconds for Shadow to kill the rest of them.
“A lack of presence is the most important thing for someone in Shadow's role. Even though they knew he was there they ignored him right?” Alena inquired from the rest of the group.
“Yeah..” Lyndis replied, she saw something like that.
“But I don't understand why they ignored him. He even drew his weapons before the match began which attracted a lot of attention” Miriel said as well.
“Shadow looked really weak...wait” Sain seemed to have understood something, “Was the reason he was ignored because they didn't see him as a threat?”
“Correct” Raven nodded in agreement.
“Was this the reason why you made Shadow do all of that last night?” Sain asked with a slight admiration to her now.
“What?” Alena seemed surprised, “No I was just pissed at him for waking my child with his shouting so I made him do that. Whether he succeed or failed has nothing to do with me. My Dad used to say that whether you failed or not is still due to yourself in the end.”
“....”
The group reminded themselves to not get on Alena's bad side as well...
xXx
Later on when Shadow finally found the rest of the group and Alena left for work, it was the near afternoon now. The announcer of this tournament had said that the next set of round is on the next day and the final set of matches at the last day.
So in total this tournament will last for three days and the first day was up.
“Sup” Shadow said not wanting to talk much longer as he felt that his brain was slowly shutting down.
“You actually look quite terrible there” Sain said a bit worried about Shadow. But then this triggered Shadow's is talking and he said, “You don't know the last of it...I had to run, climb and fall all over the place several times in a row the entire night and till just before my match.”
“In that case you should see” Sain advised him.
Shadow with his eyes that could not help but to close once in a while and open slower each time looked at the others and then said, “Seeing that all of you are alive, that means you won as well right?”
“Of course!” Lyndis tapped her chest piece with a prideful look on her face.
“Good” Shadow said not caring to talk bad to Lyndis at the moment, “If any of you lose to these level of people than I would have quite this team.”
“....”
There was a mild shock from the rest of the group. They had not thought of quitting before but at the same time it was something that would be a last resort even if they get into major arguments about some things.
After all, they had nowhere else to go.
xXx
“Looks like all of those six managed to get to the next round without issues and some of them were the best at killing other player!” one person said enthusiastically to the others. There was a slight cheer as they raised their bets onto them.
“Seeing their abilities, it would be safe to assume that at least most of them will get to the final rounds as well” another person said after analysing the group's abilities, “Especially that last one...never have I seen such a quick slaughter against those who should be stronger than him.”
The first person laughed along with the others. However a certain person did not.
“What the hell...I could do better than that” he muttered while biting down his nails again and focused on the stage.
“Why why why...!” he continued to mutter to the point that the others noticed.
“Oi” one person grabbed his shoulder, “Stop before you do something stupid.”
“Shut up!” the person took out his sword and was about to strike.
“Stop.”
In an instant several dozen blades came down to that point that they almost struck him and pushed him to the ground.
“This is your last warning” one person said. The presence he was emitting was powerful and he continued to say, “Do no hinder us for this tournament.”
There he motioned for the others to lift their swords as well. In the end the others left and went back to their business one by one not even keeping an eye on him. What trash.
But still that person did not move and drowned him in his presence. He leaned down and then whispered in a voice that everyone heard either way.
“However there is nothing wrong after we get our money out of this.”
The man smiled. He was finally going to do it. Nothing will stop him. He will make that Eden suffer a bit.
He continued to think of what he would do to those six....
xXx
“Hoo....that junior of ours is pretty good” Eart said seeing Shadow kill that many people in such a short time.
“I don't like him. Everything needs to be painted with pink justice!” Ari proclaimed.
Seeing these two Arch sighed and then said, “You only don't like him because of that?” he wondered quite a lot of the sanity of his guild mates.
Eart was masked with a gas mask you would often see in movies but you could tell that his long hair was green. There wasn't much of him except that there was something strange that he was constantly knee deep in the ground whether it would be dirt or concrete or even leaves in this case.
He was always knees deep in something except air, water and flames.
“Anyway are we spending the night here?” Eart asked seeing that at this rate he was going to have to pay greatly for the broken path he takes. There was a reason for this, his class 'Earth Slave' gives him control over all earth related magic and skills but this was the cost of it.
On one hand architects hate him for destroying their roads, as such he was banned from most cities but on the other hand they love him for creating perfect bases for roads which they could use. They would exploit him and charge him either way.
But that wasn't the worse thing...
“Eart are you peeking up my skirt again?!” Ari demanded in her magical girl outfit. Yes, she was Eri's the pink necromancer’s sister. She used her wand to hit Eart in the face as he complained, “I wasn't looking up! How can I peek at this angle?!”
In this day and age where short skirts that were clearly not hiding enough, he was deemed a sick pervert.
In an outrage Ari started to use her flashy and yet strangely enough powerful magic saying, “So you were peeking! Take this Magical-”
“Stop it else I'll kill you both” Arch glared at them with his eyes which was enough to make them back away.
Arch was wearing dark leather armour that allowed him to hide in the dark easily. But underneath this leather armour was chain-mail and even more so was a very well trained body. With his slight beard and hair flowing back unlike Eart he was popular with the ladies.
But to someone like Ari all she could feel was extreme fear when he was angry. The reason was simple, he was the 'Zero Range Archer'. One meaning was that he could only fire at 'Zero Range' while the other was he had no range as in he was an 'All Range' archer.
Arch held this double meaning title as without a 'bow', he was able to cause instant death with a weapon that no one has seen or heard of. But with a bow he was able to snipe over 100 km and kill a person running away.
Even with luck in hitting, shooting that far was near impossible for normal or even the most skilled archer.
As such he was deemed no.1 in the guild for his offensive possibilities. Even Eden cannot replicate his feat.
“Anyway I was called by Eden to protect our juniors from any harm that comes to them so why are you here?” Arch asked looking at the two.
“I wanted to see how brilliant our juniors are in the field” Eart started laughing though neither Eart or Ari were convinced.
“You wanted to pick up the girls don't you” Arch fully saw inside the deep secrets of Eart's heart.
“Disgusting” Ari looking at Eart as something less than an insect.
“And you?” Arch asked Ari, “Don't you and your sister have something to do from Eden as well?”
“Oh that?” Ari waved her hand up and down in the same position, “Something of that level, Sis can take care of it~”
“If you say so” Arch replied no caring that much, “Eden usually only gives tasks that you can barely complete...”
“I guess he underestimated us then~” Ari started laughing and then she got a call from her sister Eri.
“Sis?” Ari looked alarmed and then started nodding and saying “Yes” or “I got it”. After a few seconds she turned and looked at the two and said, “I have to go.”
“What happened?” Eart was curious about this at the very least.
“Umm...something about a super cute rabbit clan that turned berserk ugly 'things' and almost ate her...she escaped and needs help exterminating them completely” she said with a shy smile.
“....”
“....”
Both Eart and Arch though at the same time were these two sisters the right choice in leaving this matter to? This was an important Guild Quest was it not?
In the system of an Independent Guild, especially a large one, they may take a number of guild quest in one go. As such to not plague others with random windows that they have almost no relation to, an option could be selected to assign certain guild members to that quest and no one else.
This was the same for those who have accepted a guild quest on their own and required a certain level of trust.
However all Guildmasters whether they use this option or not will be barged with messages and notifications of all Guild Quests at once without exception. This was why Viv knew of the six members of the group accepting a Guild Quest which would mean Eden and Alexandra knew as well.
“Anyway have to go~” Ari winked at them and then shouted out loud, “May the contract of the Holy Light of Justice bind me to the mortal clan of Cuteness! Let the bonds between sisters expand and break through the limit of the Endless Horizon~!”
To Eart and Arch this was a super embarrassing chant but to Ari this was perfect. However at the same time this was not that bad even compared to the chants of other spells. With this the barrier between time and space broke and Ari jumped in leaving the two with a “See you later~”
Turning back to the Arena the two watched the crowd of audiences leave bit by bit. Eden's hunch was usually right and he could not be here right now. Which was why Arch was sent here though Eart tagged along from his last mission for the guild.
“Now who is targeting our cute little angels?” Eart wondered.
Arch whacked Eart on the head again and warned him, “Don't call them angels. They are our juniors and we need to protect them. All of them mind you and don't focus on protecting only the girls.”
“But why?” Eart demanded, “The red haired one is a perfect tomboy childhood friend! The black haired one is the perfect cold hearted tsundere girlfriend and the brown haired one is the perfect little sister character!”
BANG!
All of a sudden there was a small explosion from Arch's body and a hole next to where Eart was. Whatever happened Eart did not know but he crossed a line here.
“Remember our mission right now” Arch warned for the last time, “Else if we fail and one of them gets hurt...Eden will....”
Both Eart and Arch paled at thinking what could happen to them if they failed. So far their fails were only minor ones but it seemed that Eden was particularly attached to these ones which means...
“Even if I have to use my body as a shield I will protect those three girls!” Eart proclaimed causing Arch to hit him in the head though not shooting him to death.

Author's Notes:
- Word Count: 7300~
- This was slightly shorter than the usual chapters, in fact this is actually the shortest normal chapter I wrote, this was 18 pages long.
- It's also a bit sad that I can somehow make these side characters more interesting then my main characters...
