In a military base, the main control room is full of soldiers. One of the soldiers steps forward. “Ok listen up team, whilst the Academic Arenas are on its safe to say the withered and law breakers are going to think this is a free 2 days of crime, our job is to make sure that doesn’t happen. we’ve got direct lines through HHQ and PA servers to grant immediate support and communicate with the on-duty heroes and officers. Please find on your screens all the information you require. Should anything be brought to your attention please flag it immediately and we will try to get a hero or available member of the PA force to sort the situation out. You also should have a level code next to you, please evaluate how serious each case is and give it a priority code.

4 masked people are in a car, 3 of them have guns “Are you sure this is a good idea, only Sichiru has an ability, we’re just normies with guns, what if a hero shows up?” “Hey the arenas are this weekend, all the heroes and civilians are going to be too interested in that, we’ll get in there quickly, take the money and go before anyone even knows about it”. They all nod their heads and get out the car. They walk up the steps and into a bank, 3 guards rush forward and point their guns at them, one of them steps forward and addresses the robbers, “drop it now or we will shoot, if you make any further attempt to rob this bank the alarm will be raised and this place will be swarming with officers” the leader of the group turns back and nods his head, Sichiru raises his arm to reveal it is completely covered in chains, suddenly one of the chains flys off of his arm and grabs the guns from the 3 guards”. The leader steps forward and speaks to them “ring the alarm and we’ll kill every body in here, including you three, got that”. The other guys in the group look at each other and smile.

The leader walks up to the bank desk “we know this place is usually guarded by a hero but due to the games going on at the moment its only being protected by a couple of guards, that was a silly mistake”. He turns to the desk clerk “We’d like to make a withdrawal please, and lets make it fast”. The desk clerk replies, his voice is soft and shaking in fear. “How much would you like to take”. The leader leans forward “all of it”. The desk clerk nods and heads back to start collecting money from the safe. The other 3 robbers slowly get all the civilians and bank guards to lay down on the floor. The clerk comes back with a bag full of money and the leader smiles. “Keep them coming”. Suddenly a small number of PA officers burst through the door and point their guns at the robbers, the robbers point their guns back at them and the leader points his gun at the desk clark “did you raise the emergency alarm? If you did I’m going to put a bullet between your eyes right now”. The clerk starts to panic and shakes his head vigorously. “I swear I didn’t”.

A member of the public jumps up from the floor and takes out a gun and grabs the leader, “no but I did. Now make a move and I’ll shot your leader here, what shall I call you huh”. The leader laughs. “Like I’d tell you my name, just call me D, and that over their is chainz, D looks at Sichiru and nods his head again, Sichiru raises his arm again and a chain goes flying smashing the undercover officer in the head, sending him flying backwards. The other PA officers by the door start shooting at the 3 robbers. Sichiru takes out his other arm which also has chains on, he drops one to the floor it starts spinningI a circle at a quick speed, the bullets hit the chain and fall to the floor. D gets behind the undercover officer and holds his gun to him. “Not a good idea was it, now let’s discuss again about you all putting your guns down and us walking out of here with the money on that desk over there”. Out of nowhere the leader goes flying backwards, the others look at each other confused, before they can react the other 2 also go flying backwards. Sichiru looks around and sees all 3 are unconscious on the floor, he starts spinning the chains from both arms in both directions creating 2 chain shields. Suddenly a sniper bullet hits the chains and ricochet's of Sichiru smiles and shouts “come at me then”. On a building a large distance away a sniper shooter is aiming at him. “Damn it”.

Back in the bank Sichiru blocks a couple more shots with his chain shield, “come at me, I know you’re shooting from somewhere near the entrance, I might not be able to see you but your bullet won’t be able to get through my impenetrable chain shield”. As he says this he starts to shake manically and falls to the floor, behind him, the undercover officer is holding a taser. He puts his finger in his ear and starts speaking. “Thanks BlindSnipe, we’ll clean up here” back on the building rooftop the sniper pulls away from the gun to reveal he actually has no eyes. He hears another radio transmission coming in “BlindSnipe I think I may need your help, looks like there could be a hold up in a local store 2 blocks from you”. In the store a man is holding up a cash register at gun point, the shopkeeper is putting the money in a bag. “Hurry up damn it”. Again the guy goes flying through the shop and is knocked unconscious. The sniper hears another radio transmission. “great work that’s another quick take down, I’ll head in to grab the guy, that ability to see through other peoples eyes comes in pretty handy you know and that long range Taser Sniper of yours is some high level tech. Reckon you could get one made for me”. BlindSnipe chuckles. “Maybe for Christmas”. They laugh together. “Ok, good luc, keep it up and the arenas will be over in a few days”.

SGT Izanakie entres a military base. He walks down the hallway and as he does the soldiers salute him as he walks past. He heads into a room with a large number of soldiers on radio communications and a map of Tokyo on the front screen with a number of red dots on it. A solider walks up to him and salutes, “Sarge, crime has been up 30% in the past 12 hours alone, its like they think we’re going to suddenly leave the city unprotected just because the tournaments are on”. The SGT speaks up “remember people who commit crime are usually either desperate, crazy or stupid, they’ll all see this as an opportunity, the good news is so far we’ve managed to place a number of extra support heroes around and all incidences have been dealt with, what I need to know is have there been any moves made by the chess club, if they’re going to attack right now would be a perfect opportunity with many of the top 10 heroes at the competition. We're just lucky Bullet agreed to help protect the city instead of watch his students in the game”. All the soldiers look at each other, one of them speaks up “in terms of the chess club there’s been no activity yet Sarge”. He looks puzzled and thinks for a few seconds, as he does he receives a phone call when ch he immediately answers, he listens and hen replies to the person on the other side, “let them in”. Some people in suits enter the bas, Izanaki greets them and points them into a meeting roomwhich they enter and all sit down together.

Toshia is running through the city, “hey I wonder how Kame and Kenikai are doing in the tournament, the first round should be kicking off soon, ah well I’m sure they’ll sail through with no problems”. He receives a radio call. “Bullet, there seems to be a withered attack in the nearby underground station, they seem to be environmental protesters or something I’m not too sure can you…”. Toshia rushes in hits the withered multiple times in the face, stomach and back and knocks him to the floor, then places an energy clamp on them and speeds off. “They’ve been apprehended and neutralised, please send an officer for collection immediately”. “Oh urm ok then, thanks for the help”. As he runs through the sheet he sees a man running away with a wallet in his hand and a man shouting after him, he runs over and pulls down the robbers trouser, the robber falls over and sides across the pavement, eventually stopping a little distance away. Toshia stops over him. “Sorry, it looks like I’ve caught you with your pants down”. He then speeds off. As he does the robber is tied to a lamppost and the man’s wallet is back in his hand.

Back in the base Izanaki is in a meeting with a number of HHQ representatives. “Sargent Izanaki, where are we on the chess club situation” the Sargent replies “as of yet we have no further information since Toshia’s run in with the 2 admirals, also the base of operations are still yet to be located”. “What about Ryota Imamaru? would she be able to attempt tracing one of the members again?” Izanaki shakes his head, “after the last attempt it is likely they will have put up protection spells or at least have a some form of defensive protocol like Naomi nearby who could possibly hurt Imamuru’s astral form if she was to attempt it again”. “What about identifying the other 2 unknown members of the club, the rookie and the boss?”. The SGT takes a deep breath “unfortunately there is no more information on the boss, however we are using Ryota Shimamoto to dive into the memories of Toshia Hata and see if we can identify who the Rookie is”. “So im correct in saying that it was indeed the Rookie who was behind the random killings of civilians that occurred recently” Izanaki nods “we believe so yes, from reports given by Toshia it seemed he acted childlike, it could be that these attacks were indeed random acts of violence, much like a childish outburst and not linked to the Chess club’s larger plans at all”. “Well that’s something at least, look Sargent Izanaki, we have had a lot of heroes die from these attacks in the past few months, because of that we’ve got a lot of heat on us at HHQ, we are very eager to get this whole thing under wraps. If we can support you in this investigation in anyway please let us know and we’ll be happy to dispatch the heroes you require”. They get up and everyone bows at each other, then they all leave the room and head out from the base. The SGT leaves the office and walks into the main control room again, he looks at the large board dedicated to the Chess club and thinks to himself, “the question is what are they up to?”.

Check and the 4 admirals are in his office. Arata is sat in the corner playing with a dead body pretending it’s a toy, Kayo has his eyes shut and is praying, Shinji is sharpening his sword, Naomi is practicing her spells and Check is sat there with his eyes closed. Naomi stands up. “Ok Akio, I’ve placed a number of extra protection spells which means if she should try and astral project into here again she doesn’t stand a chance, it would take at least a level 8 mage to break these spells”. Akio opens his eyes. “Please I’ve told you before, call me boss, I must say though Naomi well done on the extra protection, for now let’s have a little fun, from what I’ve heard the tournmanrt is about to start. Naomi go grab them”. Naomi goes into a drawer and takes out a VR head set. He places them on his head and suddenly Akio is in the arena, the Titan academy students download into the simulation, then 2 beams of light appear, WhiteWolf and Titan appear. Akio looks at Titan and then smiles “oh this really is going to be fun”.
