85.Jennies Breakfast Preparation

85.Jennies Breakfast Preparation

"Don't worry," Guijianchou opened his eyes and stood up from the ground. Glancing at Bidegla, whose body was only skin and bones, he spoke slowly, "In healing your injuries, I merely served as a guide. The true source of your recovery lies within the hidden power contained in your flesh and blood. No matter how strong external forces may be, the greatest impact is still your own body. You can understand it as the strength you lost being used to restore your shoulder."

"Will there be any harm?" Bidegla asked, somewhat concerned.

"There will not be great harm. In the coming time, you should eat more high-nutrient foods, even some rare and precious ingredients, to aid in your recovery."

"I understand," Bidegla nodded, feeling his worries slowly dissipate.

Guijianchou's words were easy to understand - it was as if his body was a vessel and the strength of his flesh and blood was like the water inside. Now that the water was depleted, all that was needed was to continue replenishing it.

"Rest well, I'm going back," Guijianchou said, standing up and leaving, with Stuart Buzer quickly following.

Stuart Buzer could see that the master had paid a great price to heal Bidegla, it was not as simple as serving as a guide.

So much of his hair had turned white - believing his words would truly be like seeing a ghost.

Of course, Bidegla also noticed Guijianchou's tremendous change, but he didn't know how to thank him. He had become his disciple, and the only way to show his gratitude was to redouble his efforts in training, striving to become a master of internal energy as soon as possible.

"Jennie, what's wrong?" Bidegla turned his gaze to Jennie Laura and asked.

For the past hour or two, Jennie Laura's look of shock had not dissipated, even after Guijianchou and Stuart Buzer had left. She was still immersed in an unbelievable state of shock.

What she had witnessed today was simply the most unbelievable sight she had ever seen in her life. Was this still the place she lived in?

First, she had taken an old man from the Gate of Divine Spirits as her master, then she had practiced some kind of technique, and then Bidegla's seemingly incurable injury had completely recovered.

If this were a TV show, she might be able to accept it, but now, everything was happening right in front of her, and she had no choice but to believe it.

"What?" Jennie Laura responded to Bidegla's words.

But when she saw Bidegla's emaciated body, she was startled and asked, "What happened to you? How did you end up like this?"

As she rushed up and grabbed Bidegla's shoulder, she was shocked to see his shoulder looking normal.

"It's really better?" Seeing Bidegla's shoulder, which looked like that of a normal person, Jennie Laura felt as if her worldview had completely collapsed in that moment, staring blankly into space.

"Of course it's better. My body is fine, I just temporarily lost my strength, but it will recover in a while," Bidegla said with a smile. "Jennie, find me a set of clothes. Let's go home."

"Okay." Seeing Bidegla recover, it was the best news possible.

Soon, Jennie Laura found a new set of clothes, and then asked somewhat uncertainly, "Are your injuries really healed?"

"Of course they are," Bidegla smiled, raising his left hand and moving it.

"Alright." Seeing Bidegla truly healed, Jennie Laura didn't want him to stay in the hospital any longer. After all, the hospital was not a good place, and who would want to stay there every day?

Upon returning home, she was able to better take care of Bidegla and no longer had to fear being disturbed by others.

It had been over half an hour since she returned home, and Bidegla's car had already been brought back by someone. Now, the only people in the house were him and Jennie Laura.

Bidegla was now weak, and after giving a few instructions, Jennie Laura hurried out the door.

In less than half an hour, she returned with a cart full of goods. Upon seeing the precious medicinal herbs and various meats in the cart, Bidegla couldn't help but roll his eyes. Could this be a stockpile for the winter?

"Jennie, do you really need to be so extravagant?" Bidegla said.

"You don't understand. Your master said that your body is extremely weak right now. If you don't replenish yourself soon, how can you return to normal? Stop standing there and help me move these things inside," Jennie Laura said, wiping the sweat from her forehead with her snowy white hand, clearly exhausted.

The last batch of spiritual herbs that Stuart Buzer gave Bidegla was enough to help him gradually recover. Now that Jennie Laura had brought these things back, Bidegla couldn't just let her take them back again.

So, besides being moved, Bidegla was also touched in his heart. He couldn't believe that Jennie was so considerate.

After all the goods were moved, Bidegla was exhausted and collapsed onto the sofa.

This time, all his strength was used to make up for the gap in his shoulders. Moving all these items was more tiring than a day of hard labor.

Jennie Laura also let out a long sigh and lay down next to Bidegla with a fragrant breeze.

She had been exhausted all day, her face flushed and covered in sweat.

Seeing her in this state, Bidegla felt a twinge of guilt. He, a man, had let her tire herself out like this.

"Jennie, come lie down and I'll give you a massage," Bidegla said, sitting up on the sofa and patting his leg.

"Oh..." Upon hearing Bidegla's words, Jennie Laura obediently nodded and rested her head on Bidegla's leg, gazing at him absentmindedly.

Bidegla's face, with its protruding bones, seemed ordinary to him, but Jennie Laura was entranced by it.

A comfortable feeling spread from his hands to her shoulders, and Jennie Laura couldn't help but let out a soft "mm" sound.

Hearing this, Bidegla's heart fluttered, and his movements involuntarily stiffened. Jennie's allure was simply irresistible...

Upon hearing the sound she made, Jennie Laura's face quickly flushed red. She turned away, ashamed that she had made such a sound.

Perhaps Jennie Laura was simply too tired today, because as Bidegla massaged her shoulders, she fell asleep on his lap.

Seeing Jennie Laura's faint smile, Bidegla's heart also calmed, and he gently brushed her face with his palm, revealing a smile.

Jennie Laura's face felt as soft as water, and the warmth from her skin brought Bidegla an unprecedented sense of contentment.

To have Jennie by his side in this lifetime, what more could he ask for? It was more than enough.

Gently lifting Jennie and placing her on her bed, Bidegla felt a sense of peace settle over him.

Gazing at the peacefully slumbering Jennie Laura, Bidegla's heart swelled with tenderness. With a delicate touch akin to a dragonfly skimming the water's surface, he lightly kissed her forehead before slipping out of her room.

His most pressing task now lay before him: to restore his own body to its former strength. He was nothing but skin and bones, and he hoped that Jennie wouldn't find him repulsive. If he were to venture outside, he would surely be mistaken for a ghost.

Casually retrieving the precious gift of Stuart Buzer that had been bestowed upon him, Bidegla placed it into his mouth. The taste was similar to before, and not a flicker of emotion crossed his brow as he swallowed the dark morsel.

After ingesting the remnants, Bidegla let out a long sigh, sitting cross-legged on the bed. Now that he had obtained the core techniques of the Divine Gate, there was no need for him to continue practicing Qi Gathering. Qi Gathering was clearly a beginner's practice, and the profound depth of his previous mastery of the "Nine-Nine Return to Origin Grand Technique" far surpassed the simplicity of Qi Gathering. Therefore, he had now abandoned the practice of Qi Gathering altogether.

People always look forward, and now that he had something better, he certainly wouldn't be foolish enough to continue using the inefficient Qi Gathering technique.

After practicing the entire night, the next day when he woke up, he felt as though his body had become considerably more robust.

This feeling appeared directly in his mind, and it was quite marvelous. He lifted his clothes to see that his emaciated body was rapidly recovering, although he still looked quite thin, it was a huge improvement from the day before.

In the kitchen, the sound of metal clashing echoed, indicating that Jennie Laura was busy and anxious inside.

Standing at the kitchen doorway, Bidegla found it amusing, but he didn't want to disturb her. He could tell that Jennie Laura couldn't cook at all; she seemed hesitant even to handle a knife.

But watching her busy figure, Bidegla felt a deep sense of fulfillment in his heart. This was what a real home felt like, wasn't it?

After standing there for five minutes, Bidegla couldn't bear it any longer and called out, "Jennie, sister."

"Ah!" Hearing Bidegla's voice, Jennie Laura was startled, and the knife in her hand almost fell to the ground.

"Let me do it," Bidegla smiled, then approached her and took the knife, saying, "Let me handle the rough work."

"No," seeing Bidegla's hand already on the knife, Jennie Laura firmly grasped the handle, "Your body is weak right now, let me take care of you."

As she spoke, a trace of grievance appeared on her face, "Do you think I'm not good enough?"

"How could that be?" Seeing the hurt in Jennie Laura's eyes, Bidegla felt a pang of guilt. He retracted his hand and said, "What I meant was, I'll help you chop up these bones, but you'll have to make the soup yourself."

"Really?" Jennie Laura's face showed a hint of skepticism upon hearing Bidegla's words.

"Of course, when have I ever lied to you?" Bidegla confidently said.

"Then help me chop these bones, they're as hard as rocks, I can't cut through them," Jennie Laura said, placing the knife into Bidegla's hand.

The bones were indeed very hard, but surely she had to put in some effort, Bidegla thought to himself, feeling quite exasperated.
