17.Ambiguous Misunderstanding

"Little brother, I never knew you had such deep hidden talents," Mordhadi glanced at Bidegla with a smirk, sending shivers down Bidegla's spine.

Despite that, he genuinely felt happy for his younger brother, who was once just a dormitory mate and now finally making something of himself.

"Let's go, we can talk later," Bidegla patted his elder brother's shoulder and followed the manager to the exclusive private room.

The table in the private room was filled with delicious delicacies, and Bidegla couldn't help but feel hungry. It was then that he realized he hadn't eaten anything since leaving home in the morning.

"Elder brother, what kind of profession are you in now?" Bidegla inquired.

"I... let's not talk about it, just leave it at that," Moharadi's face bore a bitter smile, leaving Bidegla puzzled.

"Jennie, my elder brother is a talented manager. Do you think your jewelry business could use his expertise?" Bidegla spoke up, causing Mordhadi to set down his spoon and look at Bidegla with a puzzled expression.

With his keen eyes, Bidegla could easily see what kind of person his elder brother had become, probably not much different from before.

In this society, no matter how ambitious you are, without money and status, it's incredibly difficult to rise to the top.

He had to lend his elder brother a hand at this critical moment, considering how many fights his elder brother took the blame for back in school.

"Maybe we could use him as the manager for a new chain store if we decide to open one. I could offer him a yearly salary of five million, with additional bonuses based on sales performance. What do you think?" Jennie spoke calmly, seemingly unfazed by the five million figure.

Hearing Jennie's words, Mordhadi was deeply moved. He had some experience with jewelry, and a normal jewelry store manager would be lucky to make a million a year. He understood that he was receiving such generous treatment all thanks to Bidegla.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

At that moment, he had the sudden urge to cry. It had been over a year since he graduated, and while he had plenty of ambition, he had no outlet for it. Now, a golden opportunity was right in front of him- how could he not be moved?

In fact, he couldn't possibly refuse this invitation.

"Young brother, thank you," Mordhadi patted Bidegla's shoulder, his eyes shimmering with tears.

"You should be thanking not me, but the person in front of you," Bidegla said with a hint of helplessness, not even bothering to look at his elder brother's teary-eyed expression.

"Thank you, little sister," Mordhadi said, leaving Jennie blushing and thinking to herself that this man really had no filter.

But she didn't argue, as explaining the situation would only lead to more confusion. Besides, when Mordhadi spoke those words, she didn't feel any disgust towards him. Instead, she felt a hint of sweetness in her heart, not daring to look at Bidegla.

"Alright, we can't let all this food go to waste. Jennie, you haven't eaten anything since this morning, have you? You should eat more now," Bidegla said, causing Mordhadi to widen his eyes in disbelief as he looked at both of them.

How did Bidegla know that she hadn't eaten breakfast? Could it be that they...?

Thinking this, his expression became even more peculiar, but he had already figured everything out in his mind.

After an awkward meal, Mordhadi left the Tianyu Hotel early, ready to resign from his current job and take on the position of store manager in just over ten days.

"Jennie, do you have plans for this afternoon?" Bidegla asked, leaving Jennie slightly surprised. "I have nothing planned for this afternoon," she replied.

"Given the circumstances, let us make a visit to Hualian Jewelry Store this afternoon," Bidegla smirked as he recalled the recent attempt on his life by Cyril Hanni. Hanni had gone to great lengths to send so many men to kill him, leaving Bidegla with nothing but contempt for such a man. He decided to take Hanni's valuable jadeite rough stone before dealing with him.

"Hanni, we have a problem. That guy has come to our jewelry store again, and it seems like they want to buy our rough stones," just as Bidegla and his entourage had arrived at the store less than a minute ago, a message swiftly reached Cyril Hanni in a lounge within the jewelry store.

"Haven't you heard of knocking before entering?" Hanni scolded the intruder with a darkened face.

"Yes," the young man retreated.

Upon hearing the alarming news, Hanni lost interest in what he was doing and tapped her perked behind, saying, "Wait for me here."

He then slowly dressed himself before stepping out to see what was happening.

"What's the matter?" Cyril Hanni asked with a cold expression, looking at the embarrassed young man outside the door.

"That guy has come back," the young man replied.

"Damn it, he escaped last time and now he dares to return," Cyril Hanni's voice carried a chilling tone as he adjusted his attire and walked out.
