Ling Chen POV:
After working with Master Zhuang and learning more about immortal forging for more than two weeks I was visited by Li Zhu and was informed that the new workshop was finally finished being built. When I saw the new workshop I was delighted at how big and extravagant it looked I mean it was at least three times the size of Master Zhuang's old workshop.
Once we walked into the workshop I saw Mater Zhuang's eyes light up and said "Boy you've really done it this time I've never seen a workshop Like this before." "Haha, well if we're going to run experiments we are going to need to have an extremely clear lab and highly standardized equipment so that we know are experiments are accurate and repeatable," I replied to master Zhuang.
I designed the workshop to have 3 sections to it. The largest section is the workshop area with all the equipment necessary to do immortal forging. Then the next biggest part is the lab section this is where I'll run all my tests and experiments to make new inventions equipment and alloys and finally the smallest section is my room since I got kicked out of home I decided to add a room where I can sleep
Now that the new workshop was built and we had all the equipment we needed I was finally able to start my experiments to try and create new alloys by adding qi into steel. After working with Master Zhuang for a few weeks and observing him make breakthroughs in my knowledge of qi it was tough for me to understand the true nature of qi, unlike an immortal cultivator who can sense qi in the air and can manipulate and move qi this is one of the main reason other than mortals being unable to refine qi into their body that they can't become immortal blacksmiths even if they had some way to refine qi into their body artificially they aren't able to sense or move it.
So the first big hurdle I have to get through if I want to be successful in my research of mixing qi with modern technology would be creating an apparatus that allows me to visualize qi. If I was back in my original world this would be a lot easier solution to solve because I'd have centuries of foundation to build upon to create a working qi sensor using the modern sophisticated technology but in this world, probably due to the existence of cultivation all of the resources have been used in furthering the cultivation techniques and not much attention has been given to the development of technology.
I decided to take my mind off those big problems by developing a new product that I know will bring in big capital quickly and also improve my personal strength. That new product was a gun
Ling Feng POV:
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
I've been training with the village elder for almost 3 weeks now and I'm finally starting to understand the basics of qi and how to cultivate it. I'm still not as strong as I want to be but I'm getting there. The village elder has been teaching me how to use qi to enhance my physical strength and speed. I've also been learning how to use qi to sense the qi of others and how to use qi to attack and tonight while cultivating I can sense my dantian filling with spiritual energy and could feel a slight cracking I knew this was a sign my cultivation was about to advance a realm.
I spent all night meditating trying to break through to the next realm but it was proving to be harder than I thought as the sun started to rise I could feel my dantian expand significantly and when I opened my eyes I could see that my qi had turned from a murky white to a bright silver.
I was so excited that I immediately went to tell the village elder but when I got there I saw that he was already surrounded by a group of people. When they saw me, they all started whispering to each other and some even started laughing at me. The village elder saw me and said "Ling Feng, you're up early what's gotten you in such a rush wait you've advanced."
Village elder POV:
I remember the first time I saw the Ling twins was just after they were born I made sure to remember them because amongst cultivators there is a rumor that twins born in a cultivation family are an auspicious sign the legend states that when twins are born from two cultivators. In the womb only one absorbs the majority of vital qi and gains all the cultivation talent even though enough is produced for the two kids this means that usually from twins one is extremely talented and one is below average.
I knew that the twins were going to be different when I saw Ling Chen and even from the young age of 5 years old he displayed such a high level of comprehension. I thought at that point it was fairly obvious who absorbed more of the vital qi and would be gifted in cultivation.
As the years went by I kept an eye on their progress and I wasn't disappointed as expected Ling Chen progressed much faster than Ling Feng in his studies and was consistently at the top of his class when it came to the results Ling Feng, on the other hand, Ling Feng was completely average if not below average.
So when the day to test the talent of the 15-year-old in the village came about I had extremely high expectations for Ling Chen but when the results came back it turned out that Ling Feng had an indigo talent while Ling Chen had none. I was so shocked I didn't know what to do but then I remembered the legend about twins and their cultivation talent and realized I had gotten it wrong from the beginning not only had Ling Chen not taken the majority of the vital qi more than likely he had taken none.
Although I felt slightly bad about not Ling Chen having no cultivation talent as his comprehension really is impressive. I was more excited about the other twin having Indigo talent its a blessing for the village so I immediately decided to take him in as my disciple and let him live with me so I can properly train him
But it's only now how terrifying it is to have an Indigo cultivation talent it only took him just slightly over 3 weeks to cultivate to the Foundation establishment level this is shockingly quick as it usually takes the most talented youth in the village 1 year to reach the same level.
