Chapter 3 Steel

Ling Chen POV:

I awoke the next morning with a plan I wasn't just idling around these last few years since I regained my last lives memories I've been slowly revealing my talent to some of the people in the village in hopes of being able to recruit some of the most talented people in the village to help me and one of those people was An older man named Zhuang Jing who is a master blacksmith and the blacksmith in the village but he has only a red cultivation talent so he was unable to break through to a high level of cultivation

"Morning master Zhuang" I called out to him while he was masterfully banging on iron in a rhythmic fashion that sounded almost musical to the ears He looked up at me and with a gruff voice he responded, "What do you need boy?" I got straight to the point "I need your help too I think I just created a new metal called steel it's created by adding carbon with raw iron it is much lighter and harder than iron" He looked at me with a raised eyebrow "You think you just created steel? You must be a joking boy" I took out a piece of the metal and handed it to him "Here take a look for yourself" He took it from me and inspected it closely before his eyes widened in shock "This...this is steel! How did you create this?" I told him about my plan to create a company and how I needed his help to make money off this new metal "With your help we can make a lot of money off this new metal" He thought for a moment before finally agreeing "Fine I'll help you but we're going to need a furnace that can reach the temperatures required to melt steel" I nodded my head in agreement And took out a parchment of paper with the blueprints to Furnace that can get up to the correct temperature to create steel it was designed with the level of blacksmithing that master Zhuang is capable of "Here are the blueprints to the furnace we'll need"

He took the paper from me and looked it over "This is quite the furnace you've designed boy" he said in admiration "It'll take some time to build but I think I can have it done in a few weeks" I nodded my head in thanks before saying "I'll leave the furnace to you then" and with that I the starting steps of my plan were complete I was going to mass produce steel weapons and then get Master Zhuang to sell them on my behalf so I would gain no suspicion of myself even though I wouldn't make as much money the loss in money was worth it compared to the risk.

When I was walking home I was stopped by two people I recognized them they were the people who were the village bullies Xiao Yin and Xiao Yang "Hey Ling Chen what do you have there?" Xiao Yin said while looking at me "if it isn't the trash who can't cultivate" Xiao Yang said while laughing I gritted my teeth and tried to ignore them "Hey I'm talking to you answer me when I'm talking to you!" Xiao Yin said while grabbing onto my clothes I tried to shake him off but he held on tight "What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" Xiao Yang said while continuing to laugh at me I finally snapped "Get off of me!" I yelled as I used all my strength to push him off of me he flew through the air and hit the ground with a thud I turned around to face both of them with an enraged look on my face they both looked at me with fear in their eyes and started to back away "W-we're sorry we didn't mean to anger you" Xiao Yin said while stuttering I glared at them for a few more seconds before finally calming down and walked away I didn't know what came over me but I just couldn't control my anger I need to be careful I can't let my emotions get the better of me or else people will start to suspect something

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

I finally made it home and walked into my room I sat down on my bed and started to think about what just happened I was so angry that I used way too much strength and if I had hit them any harder I could've killed them I need to be more careful in the future I can't let myself lose control like that again even though they can cultivate they haven't started yet while I've trained my body diligently for over 9 years so my physical strength is way above theirs

The next day, Ling Chen went to find Master Zhuang to check on the progress of the furnace. Master Zhuang told him that the furnace was almost done and that he would be able to start using it in a few days. Ling Chen was relieved and thanked him before heading home.

Ling Feng POV:

Life as the disciple of the village elder was strange I got almost everything I needed the elder gifted me with brand new clothes and an expensive-looking sword I couldn't help myself but think smugly about my trashy brother who is going to have to spend the rest of his life as a Farmer or laborer while I get to learn how to cultivate and become strong

I was currently in the process of learning how to meditate which is the key to cultivation "You must clear your mind of all distractions and focus only on your qi" The village elder said to me while I sat down with my legs crossed and my eyes closed I tried to do as he said but it was harder than it looked after a few minutes of trying I finally managed to clear my mind and I started to sense a warm energy flow through my body "Good you've managed to sense your qi now you must focus on circulating it throughout your body" The village elder said I did as he said and started circulating my qi throughout my body I could feel my strength slowly increasing the more I circulated my qi "Good job Feng you're a natural at this" The village elder said with a look of admiration on his face "Now that you've learned how to meditate and circulate your qi the next step is to try and break through to the first level of cultivation"

I nodded my head in understanding before starting to circulate my qi even faster the more I circulated it the warmer my body got until finally, I felt like exploding from the heat but just when I was about to give up I felt something snap inside me and cool qi started flowing through my veins "I-I did it!" I exclaimed in disbelief "I broke through!" "Congratulations but this is only the start of your journey there are 9 large realms and in each of those realms there are 3 small realms of cultivation and you only broke through the first small realm"

I was surprised to hear this but I didn't let it deter me I was determined to become even stronger "What are the names of the different cultivation realms master?" I asked him "The different cultivation realms are as follows the Mortal Realm the Spiritual Realm the Earth Realm the Sky Realm the Divine Realm the Immortal Realm the Saint Realm, the God Realm, and the Heavenly Realm"

"So what realm am I in currently?" I asked him "You are currently in the Mortal Realm" he replied "The first small realm is called the Qi Gathering Realm and the next small realm is called the foundation establishment realm" "What's the difference between the two?" I asked him "The difference is that in the Qi Gathering Realm you only start to gather qi while in the Foundation Establishment Realm you start to store qi in your dantian which is located in your lower abdomen"

"I see now that makes sense," I said I was surprised to hear this there are so many different realms and each one seems harder than the last but I won't give up I'm determined to reach the highest realm and become even stronger "Thank you for telling me this master," I said before getting up and bowing to him "Now if you'll excuse me I need to go train." He nodded his head in understanding before saying "Good luck Feng I have high hopes for you"
