The Wolf’s Plan

With his abilities, except for being careful of the late stage wolf, Yun Tian in fact didn’t put the rest of the wolves in his eyes at all. The others would just cause him to use some more qi to defend himself, that’s all.

So, what was he doing right now, if he wasn’t having his guard up against the wolves around him right now?

He was paying close attention to any wolf that looked or moved differently than the rest of the wolves and trying to find out the position of the peak stage demonic wolf among the almost sea-like brown fur and teeth.

As for the wolves that were surrounding him, they wanted to attack and kill Yun Tian as soon as possible, but their leader had not shown himself yet. So, they were waiting for the peak stage wolf’s orders.

Right now the peak stage wolf was trying to figure out a plan to fight Yun Tian, but it could not figure out anything. It knew that if the late stage wolf tried to fight Yun Tian alone, it probably would die quickly with the dangerous sensation it felt along with the fact that Yun Tian killed the other late stage wolf quickly as well.

Yun Tian’s thoughts were actually similar to the peak stage wolf’s. He could not find the peak stage wolf and he didn’t plan to sit there forever. So, he decided to take out the only other real threat to him there.

He stopped looking around as his eyes turned to focus on the late stage wolf among the crowd of wolves. The demonic beast realm wolves were not gathered up right now and were instead spread throughout the clearing among the wolves.

At the same time, that wolf felt its heart palpitate, but it brushed it aside as it continued to bare its teeth at Yun Tian. It clearly was not able to recognize Yun Tian’s full strength.

Just as Yun Tian was about to charge forward, he saw behind the late stage wolf another wolf was walking out from the trees and the others cleared a path, even the late stage one.

As it was walking by the late stage one it barked some orders to it, causing the late stage wolf to widen its eyes in surprise.

At this moment, Yun Tian was looking at the wolf with renewed vigilance as he could tell that it possessed a decent amount of intelligence.

While all the wolves looked quite similar, this one in particular gave off a great sense of danger to Yun Tian. His sense for danger had been greatly increasing through the many battles he went through and was especially sharp now.

This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

At the same time, he felt he would be able to win this battle. The wolf only came out now, which meant it was also wary of him.

It came until it was only twenty steps in front of Yun Tian and stared him dead in the eyes.

The wolf’s eyes were filled purely with the intent to kill, whereas Yun Tian’s eyes reflected many different meanings. There was his unyieldingness as a warrior, his intent to kill, and the ferocity he could unleash. Besides those, there were others, but they were not fully unleashed at this moment.

As the wolf stared into his eyes, it felt a faint sense of oppression. It had wanted to try to intimidate Yun Tian, but it instead felt that Yun Tian would never be affected no matter what it did and that it would instead be swallowed alive.

It immediately gave up its intimidation tactics and instead howled at the sky, breaking free from the slight fear it started to feel. The rest followed after becoming riled up once more as they charged at Yun Tian.

That’s right, the peak stage one did not charge at him immediately and instead decided to have its underlings go first. It didn’t care about the wolves except for the late stage wolf that could provide some assistance to it.

It instead tried to run and circle around him looking for an opportunity to attack him.

Yun Tian obviously wouldn’t let it do what it wanted. Several wolves including early and mid stage wolves jumped at him trying to either claw or bite him to death.

Even so, he held his sword tightly and charged toward the peak stage wolf with the Wolf’s lightning skill. He was extremely fast, managing to outright dodge most attacks, but there were just too many wolves around him.

Still, the force of his charge was extremely great and his defenses were extremely great. He either killed or knocked away the wolves in his path while enduring the rest of the attacks with his strong qi barriers and body.

The wolves’ were faster and their attacks were deadlier than the gorillas he had fought before, but their bodies were also weaker and their defensive capabilities were worse.

His charge was slightly slowed down by the many wolves, but he still managed to reach the peak stage wolf. Its eyes were filled with great surprise at Yun Tian’s abilities. It had wanted to try and slowly wear him down while looking for an opportunity to go in for the kill. But now it could only stop moving to turn and attack him. It lunged at him attempting to use its claws to slash at him.

At the same time the late stage wolf came from Yun Tian’s side charging straight at him. It appeared it wanted to use the force of its charge and knock Yun Tian off balance so the peak stage wolf could finish him off.

Even with his great defenses Yun Tian didn’t dare to disregard either of these attacks. His previous idea of trying to immediately finish off the peak stage wolf with his strongest attack was cut short. The peak stage wolf had made sure the late wolf’s charge would hit Yun Tian first.

While he may not be injured greatly if he took the late stage wolf’s attack head on without any retaliation, he would at the very least not be able to defend against the next attack from the peak stage wolf very well.

He was forced to defend against both of them at the same time. He could try and just kill the late stage wolf first, but then he would have to endure the peak stage wolf’s attack and he wasn’t sure if he could handle it and then carry on to win the battle.
