Yun Tian didn’t care about the dead bodies around them. Each of them had tried to kill Yun Tian or the wolves. Besides that, interacting with Shen Yu greatly brightened his thoughts and took his mind off the matter.
As for Shen Yu, her thought process was similar. She only cared that Yun Tian and the wolves, but mainly Yun Tian, were fine. The rest, including the many dead bodies, didn’t matter to her. Now, she just wanted to return to her happy time with Yun Tian.
They looted the area and Yun Tian put away everything including the bodies too since he wanted their dantians and he couldn’t just dig them out right away as there were still some people watching like Gong. He didn’t know if it was common practice to take your opponent’s dantian, but he didn’t want to find out that it wasn’t after he did it in public.
After that, Yun Tian picked up Shen Yu in the usual princess carry and left the place with the wolves, continuing their journey north. He now had many more resources and a new sword hanging on his waistband.
He had gained much, but in their wake they left large puddles of blood and an entire town full of terrified people, just because some people had evil thoughts about his wealth. However, Yun Tian didn’t feel bad about this. They tried to harm him. He merely returned the favor, gaining their wealth instead.
They travelled for a few hours just to get some distance from the town and then veered off the path to rest. Yun Tian’s injuries had almost completely healed. At the same time the wolves’ injuries had already somewhat healed, but they would take some time to heal fully. Especially Bolin's as he had gotten the worst injuries. Besides their injuries, the battle took a lot of their energy.
So, after putting down Shen Yu, Yun Tian said, “We will be staying here for a while before finally heading to Zhenmen town. Bolin needs to heal and I plan on breaking through to the late stage of dantian building. After that, I want to significantly shore up my cultivation. I might even be able to break through with my demonic core once again.”
By now his demonic core had reached eight tenths full, but it would still take a huge amount of resources before he reached the breakthrough and he wanted to have enough resources to use during it. He had a few peak stage demonic cores right now and as long as he continued to hunt for more he would have enough to support his cultivation, but he wanted to have a great abundance for the breakthrough.
Shen Yu knew why he had been waiting. So, she asked, “You have enough resources now?”
“Yeah I should have enough now,” he said as he thought about all the late stage dantians and high grade qi gathering pills he now had.

“I will wait for Bolin to fully heal though, just in case.”
Bolin was the strongest among the wolves and his injuries limited his fighting abilities. He didn’t want their two strongest fighters to be incapable of fighting during his breakthrough.
Shen Yu agreed saying: “Yeah that’s a good idea.”
The wolves could roughly tell what they were saying. So, Bolin immediately sat down after receiving a late stage demonic core from Yun Tian and started to hasten the recovery of his injuries and demonic qi. The other wolves also did the same.
Shen Yu started to cultivate, while Yun Tian first focused on restoring his energies to their peaks using a late stage demonic core to speed up the process. Although the battle hadn’t been long, each of his strikes contained a great amount of qi from his dantian and demonic core. He also used up a lot of it to defend against the various attacks.
Still, he had only used up a little over half of the qi in his dantian and even less demonic qi. For this, he had the Warrior’s Sword skill he learned to thank. After learning it and continuing to train it, he became increasingly great at sparingly using his energies and recovering quicker. His overall stamina increased too.
He took around ten minutes to recover and several late stage cores to recover since his reserves were just so large and high in purity.
Then, he stopped and started to go through everything he now owned. He had gotten many skills and swords, even some mid grade ones. He would learn some skills in the future if he had the time and sell the swords.
As for low and mid grade qi gathering pills the number was astonishing, but he didn’t care about them at the moment so he only put them away separately for now. After going through every spatial bag, he actually found three high grade qi gathering pills which excited him.
Besides this he found one pill in Gu Jie’s spatial bag which was different from anything he had seen before. It was completely green and he wasn’t sure what it was. He knew there were other kinds of pills besides qi gathering pills but he had never seen any of them before.
He held it to his nose and gave it a whiff. All his senses had greatly improved including his sense of smell. He could possibly learn a lot about the pill just by smelling it.
The pill gave off a great medicinal fragrance and he could feel his body becoming more active as he smelled it, but he couldn’t tell what it was exactly.
But, as he thought about how it smelled, looked, and about Gu Jie’s abilities, he guessed, ‘It should probably be a pill meant for healing. After all, he relied greatly on his body. It makes sense he would specially get some pills for healing. If that is so then it must be quite effective too. At least a high grade pill or it wouldn’t be of much help to him.’
After concluding his guesses he inspected the last items he was confused about. In some of the spatial bags, there were many plants, herbs and stuff like that. He smelled and inspected each of them and found them to be quite old. Besides this and some of their different features he couldn’t make out anything about them, nor did he know what to do with them.
He realized, ‘These must be ingredients for making pills and other stuff.’
He had no knowledge about anything like that though and could only put them back away.
