Newfound Strength

What Feng Bao thought was far from the reality though. He didn’t know that Yun Tian still had much more to deploy. He had yet to use what he learned from the qi materialization skill or the demonic qi stored within the core in his chest.

This along with the fact that even the last punch didn’t make him feel too pressured made Yun Tian feel that he could take even his greatest attack and that was exactly what he planned on doing.

“No, I am nowhere near close to my limit. Let’s keep going. I want to see how I match up still.”

Yun Tian said with a smile which looked slightly devilish and noble at the same time. It was as if he was challenging the world and looking down on it at the same time.

With that he deployed even more of his qi in a barrier in front of him fixing his qi barrier and creating even more dense layers specifically in front of where the punch would hit him. While this alone surprised everyone they still could not see his complete preparations as demonic qi rushed out of the core in his chest strengthening his body.

Yun Tian felt he could even hold up a mountain right now.

He smiled and said “Show me what you’ve got, let’s see who’s stronger.”

Yun Tian wanted to beat him here, but also thought ‘My greatest strength lies in my sword. If I can beat him purely with my defense, then that’s great. It will show me just how strong I can be if I use my sword. If not then that’s that.’

Even though that was the case, he still put his all into his defense.

Unlike the others who only noticed the qi barrier, Feng Bao’s eyes narrowed as he felt that Yun Tian had just become much stronger all of a sudden.

‘That qi barrier of qi is very strong. I can also feel that he has become much stronger. What is with this kid?’

Feng Bao also wanted to see Yun Tian’s limit so he said “Fine, but don’t blame me if you get hurt.”

Shen Yu worried and wanted to stop this, but she knew Yun Tian wouldn’t listen to her, so she instead decided to trust him. She could only hope for the best in her heart.

Feng Bao became serious and prepared to use the fist skill he knew along with all of his strength. He really wanted to know just how strong Yun Tian was.

When he threw his punch Yun Tian’s eyes narrowed.

Along with the punch were dense amounts of qi that formed around his fist and made it look like an elephant was charging at him.

Yun Tian could tell immediately that this fist skill was of mid grade or higher. Feng Bao also had a good mastery over it, being at grasping form with the skill. Especially since it would get harder to master a skill the higher it’s grade was.

Yun Tian still braced for impact and poured his qi into his barriers and demonic qi into his body.

From the outside the audience saw the same thing. An immense amount of qi formed an elephant’s charge around Feng Bao’s fist going straight for Yun Tian’s defenses.

The first thing that happened was a grating noise followed by sounds of shattering as the outermost layer of qi barriers he set up shattered after enduring part of the punch’s force.

This didn’t happen only once though. Yun Tian had used a large amount of qi and set up around five layers of qi barriers with the density increasing the closer they were to him.

Feng Bao realized this quickly too. As the first one shattered quickly, while the second one held up considerably better. By the time the strike reached the last one around his body, a large amount of the force behind the attack had been depleted.

The image of an elephant around his fist was almost completely gone at this point. The punch still held a large amount of force to it though. After breaking through his barriers the punch hit his arms and he felt a large force trying to push him back, but he negated it with his strength. He didn’t even have to expend a large amount of his physical strength.

After this happened, everyone looked at Yun Tian in shock. He had just proved that he could put up a fight against a late dantian building expert.

Feng Bao, as the one who’s attack got blocked, knew that it wasn’t as simple as merely being able to put up a fight against one. His attack was basically completely stopped by the qi barriers. Yun Tian had to use little physical strength to block his attack and he could tell that Yun Tian still had much more strength under wraps.

He also used a skill to attack, while Yun Tian merely defended.

He sighed in his mind and realized ‘I don’t know what would happen if we were to use weapons and fight for real, but without them he is definitely stronger than me.’

He had been planning on asking Yun Tian to attack him too, but after this he decided against that.

Yun Tian himself smirked after he blocked the punch. He realized just how much stronger he had grown. He wasn’t the only one as Shen Yu ran up and first made sure he was fine. After that she sighed and said “Ah, how can I keep up with you.”

After that she couldn’t keep up the jealous act and laughed. She was extremely happy that Yun Tian had gotten this strong and that he could protect himself.

Yun Tian limited himself to patting rubbing her head and saying “I told you I would win.”

Feng Bao said “I have underestimated you. I apologise for that. You have won our bet. Here is the sword I promised.”

With that he took out a low spirit grade sword from his spatial bag on his waist and gave it to Yun Tian who quickly stored it within the spatial bag in his robe.

While taking the sword Yun Tian said “No offence taken. It is normal to underestimated considering my age.”

He didn’t try to be humble or thank him at all since he earned the sword with his strength. If he lost he would have given Feng Bao one of his swords just the same.
